  1. Sorry to hear that mate, as others have said; your contribution has been huge; looking forward to seeing what goes into the garage next.
  2. Get it repaired, make sure they drill the ends of the crack to stop it propagating after welding.
  3. The rear guards will actually take quite large rubber; it has always been the limitations in the front (to keep ATTESSA happy) that have dictated the rear tyre sizes. IIRC, several years ago, whilst auditioning rims; bbenny had 19x10.5s under the rear of his. The only reason they didn't stay, was the issues with the ATTESSA going bezerk due to rolling dia differences with the front 19x9's & mismatched tyres.
  4. It really saddens me to see "mechanics" treating customers this way; either start doing some research, and learn to do the job for the customer, or be honest; and admit you are out of your depth. Advising you to sell the car broken, and at a huge loss; is terrible advice, and shows you no respect as a customer. Why would he not remove the sump and at least inspect for the alleged metal particles that have supposedly destroyed the engine? At this point; yourself and some mechanically minded friends couldn't do any more harm, as long as you get some good advice & take your time with the repairs. Have a chat with Scotty; he knows these inside out, and will steer you in the right direction. As an aside; when my turbo completely failed; it made a noise that sounded for all the world like a noisy lifter. Replace the turbo; and see where you are.
  5. There is no reason to go on the attack if you have nothing to hide.
  6. Sadly, I'm going to have to join the list of non-attendees tonight. Sincerest apologies; I hope everyone enjoys the night.
  7. Good to hear it's sorted, definitely a timely reminder for everyone else.
  8. There have been a couple of these lately; it might be worth everyone checking. A stitch in time; saves nine.
  9. Lol, the other day, I was trying trying to work out what I'd replace the Stagea with, when the time came; I reckon it would end up being another one...
  10. $130 000. And there was another for $124 000. Do these have a plastic spigot bush too Scotty?
  11. Haha, loving the new tag line. Has that been there long?
  12. People washing their windscreen when I'm following on my bike.
  13. Grab a handful buddy.
  14. I bought a set of black anodised, splined steel nuts through Taleb Tyres on the forum for $40; they are a deep nut. I ran tap down a couple of them, as they felt a bit gritty going on, but since then they've been great.
  15. Yeah exactly Dave, everyone will be fully committed for Christmas now; I'm not expecting any significant orders until January. I'm just glad I'll be able to start saying YES!; instead of NO again. Everyone who has them, knows what a difference they make to the handling of our cars.
  16. You may remember this post from a couple of months ago; well I have some good news! At Whiteline's request, I have submitted a proposal to re-introduce the NM35 Stagea Sway bars. They have recently gotten back to me, & based on the information they've seen; I'm happy to announce that they will indeed be reintroducing them as a stock item in the 2nd quarter of 2014! Based on the responses I received after my last posts, I believe we can meet a significant portion of the 20 sets they will produce. If Stagea owners purchase the bulk of this order; they will continue to be a stock item, and I'm also hopeful that my information will lead them to potential sales both in the US, and Russia. Obviously a show of hands in the immediate future, will give them the impetus to keep this batch at the forefront of their minds, and ensure that we get what we've been waiting for. I'm not asking for any kind of financial commitment right now, but I will be running this first order as a Group Buy; to ensure that the forum members that have been waiting (some quite a while) get first crack at them, and at the best possible prices. I think as a group, we're really lucky to have guys like Whiteline out there; they were as enthusiastic as me in making this happen, and I really believe that enthusiasm should be supported. Have a great weekend guys, this is a real win.
  17. I have some very good news on this front; Details to follow tomorrow.
  18. Welcome mate; I'll be keeping an eye out in the west!
  19. That's where I have my informeter. Great visibility; doesn't attract any unwanted attention.
  20. It's like you're in my head dude. It's a weird spot; no? Many yeast, so crust, Wow! No, my missus has a Mazda bunky; and the only time I acknowledge it's presence is to change it's oil.
  21. So inspirashun Such debonair Wow!
  22. Doesn't count. Because shitbox.
  23. Generally, undisturbed asbestos poses very little risk to people. The issues get serious when it is damaged; either by impact, paint removal, and rather ironically; fire. Many of the houses destroyed by fire in Yellow Rock & Winmallee were older houses, which had asbestos present; and the damaged product is causing all sorts of complications in the remediation of peoples blocks for re-building.
