  1. Stock injectors, 98 and 16psi. What's this "nothing under 30psi" nonsense? Who told you that? You aren't hitting boost cut at 14psi; boost cut is at 19 or 20psi Peter. I'm pretty sure this is Lakes daily as well; you CAN make good power, and have a car that drives nicely; there are plenty to prove that.
  2. Stao's Stagea? Is that the one that developed a "gearbox problem" and abruptly ended up with a bunch of rods hanging through the side of the block? Or is that the new one? I wouldn't say the votes are in on Hypergear's current crop of NM35 Highflows; hopefully he can get on top of it. 152kw is basically what a stock car produces! Picking the right turbo for these cars is the make or break decision that gives you either; an absolutely fantastic car, or a steaming pile of shit. Before my car was tuned; it produced 179kw @19psi with an Precision Turbochargers SS2 highflow, HDi Intercooler, 2.5" suction pipe, 3" dump to tip exhaust with a 100 cell cat, and Walbro pump. It then went on to produce 226kw @ 13psi after fitting and HDi Max-rom subcomputer. This was with stock injectors, and reg. Recently Lakes101 ran 245 kw @17psi (I think) with essentially the same supporting mods as mine (including Max-rom); but notably with main difference being the awesome Intense Billet RS highflow. 245awkw on STOCK INJECTORS.
  3. There is literally no downside to going SS2 over SS1 (if you're referring to the Precision Turbochargers Sierra Stage 1 & 2). The SS2 has vastly more torque than the SS1, and out muscles it for power as well. Untuned; my SS2 equipped ran a 13.8 1/4 mile time, Versus a similarly modded SS1 equipped Stagea which ran a 14.3. There is no comparison, even on the tiny amount more lag.
  4. All of the above.
  5. I'm with Scotty on the wheel bearing diagnosis; but if you're unsure go & speak with Terry at Award gearbox and diff in seven hills. Straight shooters, and very experienced with Nissan.
  6. Great result; nice work on actually posting you solution too!
  7. This makes sense now; it's also a complete overlay of the dash face as well.
  8. That's great news Scotty; you boys have brought to bear some serious knowledge & experience to get this off the ground. Well done.
  9. I do like that color in the dials; is that just bulb upgrade in a standard dash?
  10. It's been my experience that the AWD gets upset with a very small amount of variance. I had 2 worn tyres (rear), and 2 brand new tyres (front) and above 80kmh the Attessa was extremely active, and very unhappy indeed. Drop the front shaft if you want to run that tyre combination.
  11. A home made tool that executes it's intended purpose; is the coolest tool in the box. Must be close now mate!
  12. Fair call.
  13. QFT.
  14. Get hold of the highflow built by Rick, that Scotty is using now; that thing is a monster, and seems to have no downside at all.
  15. That would be pretty damn epic!
  16. I've only heard fantastic things about his product; everyone raves about them, and also Josh's product support and knowledge. I have absolutely no axe to grind with MCA at all. That's why I'm completely mystified by the choice to mount them this way. TBH; I hope they never have any kind of failure, no customer deserves that, and Josh certainly doesn't either.
  17. M35 shares its front suspension with the Z33 and V35; the rear suspension and subframe is identical between NM35 and M35
  18. Yeah, semantics; wrote it in a hurry, and thought about it later.Still not fit for purpose; otherwise Nissan would've just put the whole lot there. Every strut top I've ever seen or worked with has a hell of a lot more surface area to distribute the load; this arrangement does nothing of the sort. Instead, it localises the entire corner weight of the vehicle on a tiny unsupported piece of sheetmetal spotwelded over a void in the body. There is absolutely no benefit or performance advantage in combining the spring and shock into one position in this instance; and avoiding using the specifically designed and reinforced spring perch is just an exercise in simplifying his parts bin because he now doesn't need to have custom wound mini-block springs as per OEM. He can just use his off the shelf small diameter coilover spec springs to maximise his profit. I stand by my comment, but you are free to do whatever you choose.
  19. Not bashing at all; there's no question about Josh's product, nor his knowledge. However; regardless of how well reinforced you might think the shock mount is; I don't believe it was ever designed to support the entire corner of the car on that tiny little sheetmetal cup bolted to the bodywork. Not speculation; fact.
  20. Yeah, and the shock mount isn't designed to take the entire weight of the car; just the shock. I'm not convinced at all. Besides; changing the design isn't a quantum leap forward in handling or anything; it's just focuses a lot of unnecessary stress on a tiny area of the chassis.
  21. A new top tank for an NM35 is worth as much as a new radiator; buy the one that Lakes101 and move on with your life. It's larger, and better suited to our conditions than the undersized stocker; your car will thank you.
  22. Not making a judgement against MCA; everyone that I've heard from raves about them, but your comments about BC's just aren't true. I've been using them for more than 6 years now; damping and ride quality are perfect, and have been since day one. No knocks, bangs, rattles; and definitely no leaks. They've done more than 100,000km; towed trailers, gone everywhere. And I'm not the only one.
  23. Hence the visit to the forest and the shovel.
  24. They won't be laughing on the walk into the forest with my shovel...
