  1. If they are alleging the chain hasn't failed; by their own reasoning, there is no risk in continuing to drive the car. They cannot play it both ways; it has either failed and requires replacement, or it is fine, and they must accept and repair any damage the chain does if/when it fails catastrophically. They cannot hold you to ransom with an essentially undriveable vehicle. A catastrophic failure will cost much more than a chain replacement. F**k them and their bullshit insurance speak.
  2. They're probably being super picky as the seats don't match; If OP had a pair; they mightn't even care. They usually ping you on seat base cushion height; if they're too low you're done. I am a bit surprised though, especially if there's no need to mod rails; and your eyeline is central in the windscreen, you'd reckon it would be an easy one to approve.
  3. Bahahahahaha! Yeah; hardly any info. Patience is a virtue.
  4. Chuck the new fan on, that's only 15 mins work. I'd leave the cooler; unless you have a couple of days free prior to leaving, just in case there's any hiccups.
  5. No one is saying they're not allowed to make a profit; in fact the legislation surrounding CTP ensures that the insurers are allowed approximately 9% profit. The problem for me involves them taking an ACTUAL profit of 19-22%. Last year, on Greenslips alone; this would have returned a profit of more that $340 MILLION DOLLARS! Note; These figures are FROM the MAA. This is clear PROFIT; after all their expenses! How much more should we be giving the poor, downtrodden insurance companies exactly? If they don't want to do it; perhaps they should go and find another line of business that returns larger profits. Instead of crying and trying to get their mates in govt to change the rules, so they have even more opportunity to return yet another "record profit" to their shareholders... And I'd love to know how adding another 7500 claimants (according to the figures) by going to No Fault is going to make this cheaper? I think my "Bias" might be showing again...
  6. Is the hdi any good? I've never really heard anything exceptional about them. They aren't adjustable for ramp rate or duty cycle are they?
  7. Just be careful he doesn't involve you in his product test procedure.
  8. Gah! They even come with a slip of paper in the bag, telling you which one to fit on which end...My OCD is making me twitch!
  9. Nooooooooooooo! The big one goes on the back; not the little one!
  10. Too many unco GTR pilots plowing into gutters?
  11. Apparently, the 35 GTR guys who track their cars prefer having a "square" set up; using 4 20x10.5" rears (better fit for front rubber allegedly). So there is an untapped market for 20x9.5 fronts somewhere...
  12. Oh, I don't know; I could always revise my stance on paint colour in the meantime...
  13. My last tank was a recent best of 10.37L/100km. Combination freeway/suburban driving.
  14. Point taken Leon, I'll have yours in etch primer ready to send out on Monday.
  15. You're smashing through the jobs on this poohkies! I'd definitely recommend getting it done; once coated it'll last bloody ages longer than just raw galvanised. I might have to get the thermal gun out & do some comparative temp measurements on my coated components versus non-coated components.
  16. I'm not sure about Sunny coast, but check locally for companies doing performance coatings.Id expect it to be in the $200-$300 mark for a heat insulating black ceramic. The chrome finishes are more expensive, because of the extra steps in producing the shiny finish.

  18. Why don't you get it ceramic coated before installation, to stop it degrading any further?
  19. Fark me; that's some weight transfer! Kudos for the visible baby seat!
  20. That and 600km to a tank; gotta be happy with that.
  21. All good mate; it's not a race to see who works the fastest, I'd rather see a job done RIGHT than a job done fast and WRONG. I've been telling apprentices this for years. Good to see you had a go yourself. How does it ride now?
  22. Extreme Tuners in Greece are bloody amazing. I have no doubt you'd be familiar with them, but if not; this thread has some incredible stuff in it. http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-dyno-tuning-results/447351-highest-hp-4g63-engine-2007-a-61.html Bloody tonnes of pages of Americans crying about his credentials though. Love what you're doing & looking forward to seeing more; best of luck!
  23. Yes mate; same deal.
