  1. Spotted chintami leaving the Hungry Jacks carpark in Belconnen yesterday evening. Not a fan of the rims but otherwise the cars looks tyte!
  2. That's hot, if only it was a 4 door!
  3. Damn that sucks dude. Is she at least going to foot the bill for repairs? I wouldn't necessarily believe her just because she says her insurance has run out in the last few days. She could just be trying to get out of paying her premuim. I'd get your insurance company to give her a call regarding the accident.
  4. Ha Ha, yeah I was just about to post it. Bought by someone in Canberra. I'm pretty certain it's had a bit of work done under the bonnet too. Butt-ugly though, that's for sure.
  5. You can only buy movie UMDs that are in the same region as your PSP. Games will work regardless of where they are from, but movies wont. Best bet is to buy online and ensure that the region coding is compatible with your PSP.
  6. Damn sounds like I missed a big night. Friends popped in and couldn't get out of the house. Oh well, hopefully this week.
  7. I might actually get out to the museum for the first time in weeks now that my car is back on the road.
  8. Here's Dino's blog if you haven't already seen it. Photos from the Tokyo Motor Show. http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/ UK GT-R Forum with some photo-chops of the new PROTO in different colours and a set of Volks. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showpost...78&postcount=57 I reckon it's looking the goods personally. Different from previous but tough. I hope the motor lives up to the GT-R heritage.
  9. I'm liking it so far. Sure it's different but that's progress and moving to the future. I'm sure the same thing has bee said by the Japanese in the past with the skyline. It does still have the elements of the past, but also remember this is supposed to become a standalone supercar, not a hotted up family sedan like in the past. I love all incarnations of the GT-R, this one included. It would be nice to see the Skyline badge continued on it, but that probably wont happen (outside of Japan anyway).
  10. Yeah the CPU isn't capped at all. The current PSP dev kit that games developers are given allows them to only write a game that will run at 222mhz in order to preserve decent battery life. If someone creates a game and somehow get the cpu running faster Sony will reject it from release. Once batteries are released that have a life span, Sony will release an upgraded version of the dev kit that will allow people to code for 333mhz. When running your emulators at 333mhz the battery life wont be too bad because the PSP doesn't need to run the UMD drive, which uses quite a bit of battery power.
  11. I'll try and get there, got my engagement party that night so may be otherwise pre-occupied with that. I'll try and make an appearance though.
  12. They're not released yet in AUS, but a few peeps have imported them. Ran the firmware downgrade over the weekend. Worked beautifully. A proper release was created which has a less than 1% chance of bricking your PSP so it's fairly safe. Homebrew to your hearts content after doing this!
  13. Sorry Topaz! Probably still half asleep, Nice background Topaz!
  14. I've been reading over a number of PSP forums and there doesn't seem to be too many problems resulting from this downgrader. I'll have a look that that forum you posted the link up for though Topaz, thanks.
  15. http://www.sonyxteam.com They have the working release of firmware downgrader from v2.0 to v1.5.
  16. Well as some of you may know, an exploit was found in firmware version 2.0 in the last few days. This has opened the door for coders to create homebrew that may work on 2.0. Former WAB team members have just today released a 'working' firmware downgrader that will take a PSP running version 2.0 firmware and downgrade it to 1.5, thus allowing homebrew apps to run on the PSP. http://www.sonyxteam.com/ I'm not going to try this just yet, i'll give it a few days to blow over and see if anyone has any major problems with it. I'd rather have homebrew working on version 2.0 firmware, but if that's still a way off i'll be happy with this. NOTE: I'm not responsible for any damages occurred by this downgrader, I am merely just letting people know who may be interested. As I said, I'm waiting to see how people go with the firmware downgrader first for a few days before I even try this. Nice background on the PSP nghiagero!
  17. You're probably going to find it harder to sell 3 19 inch wheels rather than 4 though so it would probably be worthwhile getting another 19 so you can sell them when you are ready to get 20s.
  18. Of course, the AUS PSPB comes loaded with version 1.52, and the demo disk comes with version 2 on it for you to install if you wish. Instructions are provided with it.
  19. I don't know of anyone who hasgoneback from 1.52 to 1.5. There has been no release of a firmware downgrader yet. Wab and PSP-Dev were supposedly working on a firmware downgrader and were waiting to release when bugs were sorted out. They just disbanded though, which led to people questioning whether or not they had developed a downgrader at all, and if they were pretending to do it so they could raise money to buy their own Japan release PSP with version 1 firmware. There are a few others saying that they have worked it out, but we'll have to wait and see if they are for real.
  20. That would be interesting but for that to work the camera component would probably need to have some sort of power supply as the usb port on the PSP is a slave and cannot provide power to other devices off it. The camera component would be a little large in this case i'd be guessing.
  21. They aren't too small though. I've got a Gameboy Advance (not SP) and they are very similar dimensions. The GBA is a little taller, about as much as the PSP is wider.
  22. Fair enough! nghiagero, you don't use the PC emulators, there have been a number of the popular ports like MAME and other ones that have been created for PSP. Currently as long as you are using firmware 1.50 or 1.0 (ie no AUS delivered PSPs) you can run these emulators and the zipped up roms that you would have used on PC, etc. Saying that word on the streets (of the 'net anyway) is that one PSP programming group have almost finished their work on a PSP firmware 'downgrader' that will set it to firmware 1.5. They have already created a program that allows you to set what firmware you want to run (ie 1.0, 1.5, 1.51, 1.52. 2.0) while running your machine with 1.5 or 1.0. Shouldn't be too long before us aussies with 1.52 firmware can finally get some homebrew goodness!
  23. Wow that's a pretty cool car. Interesting exterior design with those taillights, but seems to be a well thought out package. How many were produced and did they sell well?
  24. Picked one up last weekend, very cool little machine. Unfortunately running firmware 1.52 so can't run homebrew apps yet. Looking forward to the imminent release of the firmware downgrader. I'm looking forward to playing original arcade ports emulated on the PSP!
