  1. Man some of that is the funniest stuff i've read in ages! Kancho - that's all Hopowhatie (the disgraced rugby league player) or however you spell his name was doing! He must have had a trip to Japan!
  2. I've been toying with the idea of making a DVD for a few years now. I've been collecting footage from track days, auto salon, dyno comps, etc. I want to do some night time cruising and stuff but is so hard to shoot with mini dv in low light. One day I'll finally sit down and edit all this footage and create something. Just been way too busy to really get down and do it. I think I'll start bringing the camera out again on Fridays if there are good turnouts consistently.
  3. Stirlo you're in Gilmore aren't you? You're just on the border from memory of the area. Don't put your location down.
  4. Simpsons Hill on fire again? Man it was always on fire. Grew up in Chisholm and i'm sure every fews years that sucka was always on fire. And good Old Tuggeranong Homestead (that's it's name isn't it?) at the top there was always threatened to be burnt down being up on the top of it and all.
  5. Dodgy, pretty dodgy but funny!! Lucky I don't trust these things so half the answers are shit anyway! Time for you to guess which answers are shit!
  6. Nice thanks Richard. I'll remember that when I'm getting closer to it.
  7. Ha ha, nah just need to get endorsed by a company and be paid to have them built for me! Drums are fun, I got a dodgy kit that I'm looking after for a friend. We use it for band practice cause then our drummer doesn't have to cart his around every week but it's a hunk of crap!
  8. Yeah it's probably going to take a while to build due to funds etc. I'm planning to be able to get a decent piece of timber for the body probably late next month and cut it out, route out the cavities, etc and then slowly get the electronics and other hardware together when there's a bargin to be had. Also searching for someone to make a carbon fibre pickguard, etc. That may be hard and pretty expensive, so I might have to cheap out there and just get the plastic items and maybe cover them in carbon fibre contact or something.
  9. I've noticed that there are a few of you on here that play guitar so I thought I'd share with you my plans for my new guitar that I'm about to embark on building. Here is my dodgy photoshop of what it should end up looking like: I currently own an Ibanez RG guitar (had it for 10 years) and love it. I was looking at buying a second one as my band is about to start looking for gigs and I want to have a backup guitar for this. I figured that I don't have the cash to buy a decent one so I'll build it. I should have a neck coming this week that I've purchased. My Dad's going to cut and route the body, and I'll gradually piece it together when I find bargins for each component needed. It's going to be called Project GT-R due to the paint choice for the guitar, and so I can combine my car interest and my music interest. Carbon fibre might be used for a couple of other things as well. Hope it's sort of interesting even for you guys who aren't muso's or not really in to guitar music. :band:
  10. I'd be interested in this if it could fit in the Stock S14 200sx cooler spot.
  11. Yeah I'll probably head out again seeing as the car's back on the road.
  12. They're just stockies or something? I wouldn't want to take your good wheels.
  13. Thanks dude, but yeah S14 is same as R33/R34 Skyline. Thanks for the offer though.
  14. Yeah thanks guys. I just need a pair of rims to put on the front of the car what have enough tread all over to be legal. Just for a fortnight until I get paid again. Any help appreciated. SkyGTRline, are you over northside? Do at least a pair of your wheels have enough tread to be legal?
  15. Hey thought I'd ask here. I've finally got my car back together late last night with a new exhaust manifold and replaced water inlet hose. My front tyres are at the point where they are probably too worn on the edges to be legal. I've run out of money after replacing heaps of parts on the car and can't afford to buy new tyres until next fortnight. I was wondering if anyone would have a spare pair of wheels with decent tyres that I could borrow for a fortnight until I can get some new tyres. I'm driving an S14 200SX so same stud pattern and offset most probably as most Skylines. Any help would be most appreciated! Stephen
  16. I found out from my best mates father in law (who also teaches guitar) that he came fourth in the country in a national comp, so he is definetely pretty damn good.
  17. Shit, I didn't know Paul owned a Sil80! I know Gordon who works in guitars. He taught me everything I know and everything I forgot!
  18. You getting a cole clark guitar hey? Nice! What sort?
  19. The MR2 in the high octane series is the later model SW20 series with the 3SGTE
  20. Nice pick! Always liked those little MR2s. Like a mini super-deformed Ferrari. Very cool
  21. chilli as in hot, choc as in mmmmmmmmm chocolate. Saw those, was quite interested!
  22. Yeah just leave the car at home and catch the bus or ride a bike or something. Shit always happens in college car parks, it's not worth it. I wouldn't be getting a GT-R at the end of year 12 though. You might be able to save up and buy a 1989 car for a nice price, but trying to find insurance will be a complete bitch of a time (probably even 3rd party) and fixing the things are ridiculously expensive. You'll find this out too being that the car's 15 years old and don't know the full history of the car. Stick with the R33 and enjoy it for a few years (leave it at home during school) and then think about something new. I think you'll find that you will have a better time doing that, than buying a GT-R and not having any money afterwards. Unfortunately these older GT-Rs that come over cheap aren't always in the best condition engine wise, and cost a pretty penny to fix. I know from a couple of friends who have been down that route.
  23. mmmmmmmmm black S14. (not S15!!) /me wishes my S14 was black, and not the opposite!!!
  24. Maybe it might be worthwhile catching a plane or train, etc to coff's in the morning and drive back? Might be a lot cheaper if the car is drivable and you're up to it?
  25. was there any coverage from any tv channels or anything yesterday? More pix for us poor people who couldn't make it!
