I'm in the same boat, no idea what turbo i've got. Came with the 98' RB20DET the previous owner dropped in. Hasent played up yet, im pretty sure mines basically made from solid iron, is heavier than jesus. At the same time, works flawlessly on a daily basis. Probably Chinese too. New turbo planned for '10

I'm still curious on how this would work if there are multiple lanes, with the option to change lanes how will they keep track of which car is the speeding car? Its the same idea as the British "Average Speed cameras" but they are only used on single land roads (one lane each direction, as it were). Thoughts?

Sick And Tired Of Fearing Cops Like A Criminal!
abacusnow replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Victoria
Solution: Move to a regional city lol - more access to open roads, and less cops per person. lol I've been pulled over twice since i bought my car, once i was "driving out a bit late, sir?" and the other i was radar'd at 6 kms over the limit. Both times the police were very nice and respectful, and curious about the car. They are so used to falcodores being defected for rusting or bad condition they arent that experienced in spotting possible boost controllers etc. Neither less, address the attention grabbing issues and you will be fine. I'm currently looking into buying a plumb back and getting a quieter exhaust, once thats done i dont expect a second look! -
Yeah im looking at getting a new wheel too, the stock one i have is really worn and wont pass scruitineering at hillclimbs. but i dont want to have one for driving and one for events as that'll put me off if they are a different diameter. A mate of mine just bout a frigging expensive MOMO wheel from japan, bare metal inside, for his S13, i wonder if he knows its not legal...

Nismo R34 Gtt Bodykit
abacusnow replied to eightsixboy's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
imo worth it for the rest of the kit. Just take off when it gets onshore and fix up the holes. -
Really nice rims mate, i have F1's on my car atm - love em. P

Good luck mate. Hope the buggers haven't done anything to it. I worry about mine every night, despite making sure my full ignition isolator (friendly auto-elec) is on.

she prefers white 33's with dirty bottoms! clean your exhaust girl!

Woo Hoo; I'm not familiar with your car... where about do you drive? Cass; Yeah the guards aren't the smartest tools in the shed. Did i tell you i blew a cell in my battery and had to fork out 100 bucks for a new one? right before Christmas. Also i drove past a Black R32 today out the front of Zagames.... was it anyone here? I was flashing you because there was a traffic camera/speed camera in its usual spot there

Hey guys, As per topic, im interested in some prices for a R32 GTST Seatbelt complete unit, especially the retractor unit based in the sidewall. Anyone got one in stock or know of one for sale? Thanks!

You're in Ballarat? currently? Mr Brakes would be good, but they'd only source it and install it - not sure where they get them from - might have one in stock. Wreckers would be a better option, they prolly scrap a skyline every once in a while. Can you install a cylinder from another car with the same measurements for the time being? - Trembath Automotive would be competent enough to rig up something like that, get the old man to do it himself.

I'm a Geologist by profession, currently working at IBM Australia during the recession [or whatever the heck is it.] I dont get alot of strange looks - in geology during boom times some of the managers and technical superintendents buy porsche's and ferrari's lol. Although most of the guys i worked with were more interested in the latest Land Cruiser or Hilux (kitted out hardcore for off-roading.). Dont blame em, im half tempted to get a real 4X4 as a second car!

G'day Nick! Yeah good to catch up again! Nice, i'm in at Peteys on Friday getting some coilpacks and hopefully (finally) that dyno figure. Thinking if we can get enough folks interested we should meet up for a pot an parma? Cass: Stick to your guns!
-
If you do a good job photoshopping them onto a piccy of my car and i'm convinced they look good, i just might Haha, its partly washed now - those useless car wash places are such a rip off. dont even get the road grime off. i ended up paying for 2 minutes and filling up a bucket and using a sponge! Might have a buyer for my Pulsar I've been seeing even more R33's in ballarat. damn plague.

Looks excellent mate, i love the straight body - also the stock exterior is very understated - should keep it simple!

Also, saw your baby yesturday. looked good! still love your wheels, dont care what anyone else thinks child of the 80's ftw. Dont look at mine, its filthy :B

On the Corner. I'm also at the mine... Ballarat Goldfields a lot. I'm on the way to Ballarat from Melbourne, Melton. Who is your mechanic in Ballarat? - I go to Peter from Performance and Race tech in Delacombe. lots of experience building up cars. he usually has about 5 or 6 skylines in the garage at any one time lol

"What this is saying is that an interstate driver can come to vic and get busted doing 120kmh in a 100 zone all day long with only a fine to pay on each offence" http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyre...ndfines0910.pdf View the costings. You get enough demerit points to spare... cash is harder to come by.

Yeah i work with Cass at IBM some of the time We've got 3 Skylines there as far as i know.. and one 180. ghettoracer: i think i saw you the other day. We should try and arrange for a meet, check out the cars and swap some stories about mechanics! (i know my mechanic reads this forum, so his labor costs might come down strangely..)
