Its that type of 'theres no where else' attitude that leads to these problems. There are plenty of places. Talk to your Council. I live in Ballarat, and we have an airport that is reasonable and open to allowing people access to isolated parts of their land and runway. There is the Ballarat Light Car Club, which is incredibly cheap and has an autocross track, and which participates in hillclimb events and track days. etc. no where else my freeking ass.

Hi Guys, Wondering if someone can idenfity the boot lip on the skyline below? I've seen variants but i i cant find the exact one. If anyone else has this, where did you buy it from?

Just wanting to know how many Ballarat skyline owners are on the forums. I spot quite a few skylines during my day and have never met the owners of the majority. Post a pic of your car and whatever else you feel like sharing. Do any of the SAUVIC members often visit Ballarat for a cruise up the Highway? Who have you spotted?

Not being on my P-plates anymore, i didnt pay much attention to the introduction of the new green/red laws. Seems to me its not all that worthwhile getting a N/A Skyline as they are too heavy. Surely you'd be aiming for as close to the power-to-weight ratio as possible? Have you had the shudder since you installed the new pads and DBA's? Or was it only when you put it on the track?

I agree, fuel sediment settles over long times and can block your injectors, causing similar [if not as extreme] problems. I'd still be careful and possibly get the RACV to do a Comprehensive inspection of the vehicle before you buy it. I bought mine after a RACV Test and they outlined -all- of the potential problems with it, meaning you have a list of 'to do' before you even drive off.

Leave the front lip matte black imo, i've found that by having a coloured lip [in my case, it was burgandy] its more obvious when you scrape it. Hey Guys, I'm new to these boards, despite having been reading them for years. Finally decided since i have my skyline now, i should make the effort. I've recently bought a Burgundy Pearl R32 GTS-T off Paul Tomkinson of Romsey. Hes owned it for 10 years since a friend of his personally imported it after owning it in Japan. He was a member of the Nissan Datsun Sports Owner club. 5 spd manual, fitted with the GTR bodykit from the factory. The car is in great shape in terms of body and interior, the RACV Comp Inspection mechanic said it was near flawless. The car was tuned by Chip Control, and below are some of the mods. GTR Injectors Custom FMIC Pod filter Larger turbo (type to be comfirmed once heatshield is removed... im a busy man!) Veeport Turbosmart BOV (To be replaced by Plumb back/legal BOV ASAP.) DBA Slotted/Drilled calipers, performance pads. Eagle F1 tyres on stock 16" alloys larger Bosch fuelpump Custom oil filter/catch cansetup. Microtech LT-8 Timer 3" Exhaust start to finish High-flowing cat Heavy duty button clutch Swaybars front and back I'm sure theres more, thats all i can think of right now! Plans for the future... Getting it to a more legal level, and creating a more drivable monster. I'd like to get it running smoothly without problems. I'll be posting on the forums as need be. I also have some parts that i inherited from the past owner, including the original turbo and intake, injectors.
