  1. Hey Guys and Girls I am just about ready to scrap my whole project as no one has any idea how to fix my problem. I have an R34 GT Sedan which was 2L Non turbo auto..Which I have replaced with a RB25DET Neo out of a Stagea and converted to manual. We have have used the ECU from the stagea and have re wired the loom and basically the car is drivable. The car is drivable with a "Normal" driving style eg..normal gear changes and normal accelleration. The problem arises when we plant foot. at about 3500rpm with the turbo at 8psi the car loses all power and dies untill the revs drop abit then all power returns and its drivable again. With the same thing happening if you plant foot again. We have plugged some equipment into the consult port and basically the story is that at the exact point that the power cuts the afm is maxed out and the injector cycle cuts... We have used the afm from my RB20DE out of my r34 and it is pink sticker(Same as GTT) so thinking that it may be a faulty afm we tried one from an R34 GTT and an R33 25DET and same story(Maxed out)...We have checked for boost leaks and nothing. checked the voltages at the afms in both my car and a GTT at idle and 2000rpm and both readings are exactally the same so why is it maxing out when the turbo spools up? Im really hoping someone can help me out as this problem is stopping me getting the conversion certified and having my car back which has been close to 5 months. Please help me...I really want my car back running as it should be. Cheers.
  2. I am not the one putting the motor in but i just had a bit of a look around it and it is actually an RB25DET NEO out or an C34 Stagea...So that makes sense only getting to 5 PSI. I was told they were 8 but i guess not. The loom has been re wired to accomodate my motor and my afm only has three wires and yours has 4...Is that my problem then...Do I have the wrong afm?
  3. My AFM is 22680-31U00 like you said... and Im pretty sure the sensor has been connected but it wont even boost to 8 PSI like it should do??? It goes to 5 PSI on the dot and wont move past even after sitting there for 1000 - 1500 rpm before it cuts out completely...so could it still be the sensor? would that not mean it would cut out above say 12 PSI where it would normally go to 8 PSI with ease Cheers
  4. Im using a standard RB25DET Neo ECU which came with the motor
  5. Hey guys and girls, I have recently converted my R34 Gt sedan from an RB20DE to an RB25DET Neo from a GTT and converted it to manual. We have kept my standard r34 de afm which we believe is the problem. We have started the car and it drives like a dream untill you plant foot and it starts to boost.. Basically we have worked the actuator hoses to run a constant 8 PSI which is standard of the actuator? am I correct? Which is cool but when we try to boost it boosts up to and sticks at 5 PSI for about a 1000 rpm then it cuts out. We have connected this to a diagnostic tool and at the exact second that it cuts out the injector cycle dies and gives an afm voltage of approx 4.7V Which is right on the verge of maxing out....Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong... Im just wondering would the afm maxing out cause the ecu to cut the injectors and cause it to only run 5 PSI? Can someone who has an R34 GTT with an 25DET in it please inform me as to the colour and numbers located on the AFM. I believe they are pink but the numbers may be diffrent. Or is there another issue causing this that we may have overlooked.... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers,
  6. Yeah an rb20de does exist in an r34...Thanks for the link to the secret tweak but it hasnt made any difference to my current situation, Anyone else have any ideas?
  7. Hey guys and girls I have recently had an RB25DET Neo dropped into my R34 sedan...It was auto 2.0L neo and I have put the 25 in and converted it to manual, the loom has been completely rewired and has had the traction control removed. We started it up with no issues at all, took it for a drive and made a few adjustments to the cas and its running beautifully...It is awesome in first gear but the minute it hits 3500 - 4000rpm in second or any other gear it goes into fail-safe mode, turns to crap and gives the engine codes 44 and 46 which are tcs and tps. Apon doing some more research we noticed that we are missing unit called a "Throttle control unit" which appears to be in the 25det only from the r34 range...and being a 20de r34 it doesnt have this unit...We contacted nissan and their response was "Yes we have the unit available, $2000 please." WTF $2000???? My question is... Has anyone else come across this problem? Can something be done to the ecu to remove or bypass the need for this unit so I can get my car back on the road running as a 25det should? or does someone have one of these units that they would be willing to sell to me cheaper than I have been quoted? Oh and I am running the standard 25det ecu Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers,
  8. Hey guys, I have an r34 gt, 4 door sedan, Auto and im 99% of the way through my manual conversion and with putting the new clutch pedal in, I have noticed that the pedal is a lot higher up than the normal auto brake pedal and am just wondering is the r33 pedal that I have used a different length than that of a r34? it doesnt bother me much, just an observation. Cheers
