found out the tank i got sunday arvo was the wrong one which starves the fuel pump....im putting in the right one tonight...and making up a bash plate for the underside of the tank.......no more holes!!!!!

pfft public.....how's about having in the collection...a 1/8th dirt dragstrip with a 1/8th runoff...making 1/4 mile all up....a dirt drift track....a minibike track......concrete burnout pad....boonga racing track complete with viewing tower with lounge suite....border motorbike/quad track......shed space which equates to three 60x40 sheds next to each other....camping grounds for tents and caravans...2 permanent caravans...plus a massive 4 bedroom house first built circa 1900's......plus "the road"....and enough paddock space for five cars to be doing circle work at the same time.....oh and a bonfire space that when cooking, can be seen from the port river expressway.OOOOOOO YEAH!!!!

well...after sunday's fuel tank issues...monday saw the car struggling to get fuel which saw me creeping up south road towards junkfood corner at 5km/h ....the wife took the pump out while i was at the chiro and i found a few clamps loose that were holding the 040 into the stock cradle...moved the pump up and tightened the clamps and test drover...problem solvered.....so i thought...going to work the next day and was getting surge issues and the car was backfiring and carrying on like a pork chop....took the pump out last night..then went to my mates place to pick up my old "holy" tank to get them side by side..the tank i'd bought was out of a S3 R31...my tank was the same on the outside but different on the inside...so i went to my mate that i bought the tank from..and had a look in the back of his S2....exactly the same as my old tank.....There lies the problem...mine is an early 88....one of the first..so it carried on some of the S2's parts....including the fuel tank ....tonight im going to grab the tank thats in his spare car...and friday night swap them over on the hoist at my other mates shed over a few bourbons.......Damn skylines!!!!.....Bloody vintage car...
