Hey guys, I recently wrote off my R33 GTR. I bought an auto spec S S15 and plan on transferring the running gear etc from the GTR into it. My question is, will the clutch and brake pedals from the R33 GTR, fit the S15?

Dipstick was sticking out.How much oil does the dipstick read from the end to "H"?

Hey guys, I was doing some spirited driving on Saturday night in my 300KW R33 GTR. I noticed in my driveway on Sunday morning a oil leak. Found oil around the oil filter however it is fully tight.. Dip stick was also sticking out a little bit. There's hardly any oil left on the dip stick. Oil pressure is fine though on the factory gauge and no weird sounds in the motor and did not notice any power loss. Gonna take it to a mechanic to do compression and leak down test. Did some research and apparently, the dipstick only reads about 1L from the bottom of it to the "H" mark. Is this true? If so, prob means I still have at least 3.6L in the sump? Has this happened to anyone else before? Attached some pics.

I'm in Auckland NZ. I went back to the tyre shop and they refused to rebalance them. They said that it's a standard practise for them to leave old weights on when they rebalance tyres. I've sent an email complaint to Bridgestone and I won't be dealing with them in the future. Extremely unhappy with this.

I recently purchased 4 new Bridgestone RE002 tyres from Firestone. I stopped in at Mag and Turbo over the weekend and the guy there said that I should take it back to Firestone to get it rebalanced as it's counter balanced". It appears that they've left the old weights on the wheels and added new weights on as well. Is it an issue if you balance the wheel without removing the old weights?

Just got a new set of Bridgestone Potenza RE002's fitted for my R33 GTR from Firestone. I went to another tyre shop yesterday and the guy said to me to take the car back to Firestone as it appears that my wheels are "counter balanced" I had a look and it appears that the old weights are still on some of the wheels with new weights as well on them. Is this an issue? I spoke with someone else and they said it shouldn't be an issue.

I think my turbo timer is playing up... I do the following steps properly but it only works sometimes... most of the time the 4WD light stays lit and i have to turn the car off and try again. -

I seem to be having some trouble getting it to RWD mode. It's a hit or miss when I try to do it, sometimes it works and sometimes the 4WD light stays on. I think it might be the turbo timer function on my alarm that's causing the issue... I turn the key to "on" then I see the 4WD light turn off then I start pressing the break while starting the car and I keep pressing the break pedel until I see the 4WD light flashing. This method only works for me sometimes, am I doing something wrong? -

Sounds good, 75w-90 for both diffs it is then! Is the Redline High Temp ATF good for the transfer case?

What oil would you recommend for both diffs instead of light shockproof?

Sorry for the old thread bump. I'm going to change my gearbox and diff fluids on my R33 GTR soon and the gearbox is fine but I've owned the car for 3 years now and I don't know if the previous owner ever did it. I'm going to use Redline lightweight shockproof for my gearbox, and according to the redline site http://www.redlineoil.com.au/oil-finder-detail.asp?CategoryID=3642&ProductID=7592 The lightweight shockproof is suitable for the diffs? I searched the forums and I haven't found anyone using it for their diffs...

My R33 GTR is currently standard but I'm planning to get 300rwkw. I can get a NPC 10inch heavy duty organic clutch kit for $864 delivered or I can get my standard clutch rebuilt to HD standard with kevlar for $575. The clutch rebuilder is Autoclutch New Zealand and they claim that the rebuild clutch should be able to handle upto 400kw. What's the best option?

I've found the bleed wire(brown connector) but does anyone know where this plug (circled in red) goes to? It wasn't connected to anything. -

Anyone know if the non GTR series 1 lights fit a R33 GTR? They have the same part number 1493 and I heard that the only difference is that the GTR lights have a spacer on them which you can remove and put on the non GTR lights to fit them?

Yup running standard turbos @ 1 bar. Only mods on the car was front pipe , decat pipe and Apexi n1 evolution exhaust.

So you don't reckon it sounds like the turbos blown? The mechanics busy till next tuesday. So I should remove the front tyres and wheel arch guard too see the other piping?

I was driving my standard R33 GTR pretty hard and then heard a loud pop and suddenly the car was loosing power. Came to a complete stop and the car stalled. Started it up and I could hear a loud intake noise (like major turbo spool) every time I revved it and then I drove it home and there was no boost and it kept wanting to stall unless I revved it and black smoke. Next day, I tried to start it up but it wouldn't turn over. Called up a well known GTR mechanic here in NZ and he said that it might not be the turbos / motor and it may just be the intercooler piping popped off / hole which caused the car to missfire and foul the plugs therefore the car isn't starting? I'm not really mechanically minded so I just visually examined the piping through the engine bay and it looks fine to me... Whats the best way to properly examine the intercooler piping and what's your guys opinion on the problem?

My drivers side highbeam headlight isn't working. I've replaced the bulb and checked the fuse but it still doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this?
