Just a quick question. Is it normal to see air bubbles pumping through the fuel filter with the flow of fuel? Car in question is a 1987 AE82 Corolla, engine 4A-C (SOHC, non-crossflow)

Built Rb26 Turbo Selection For Drift
RBceffy25 replied to Goodfellas's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Trent, Can we please have some dynographs on this turbo? That would be fantastic! Also, what is the response of this turbo comparable to? I am currenlty building up a street RB25 with all the fruit to run between 270-300rwkw and I just might be in the market for a new turbo.... Will be runnig forged bottem end, mildly ported head with upgraded springs, poncams, front facing plenum, haltech platinum ecu etc, etc. I have a VG30 turbo i was planning on getting highflowed but this looks like a gret option also. -

R34 Gtr Diff Into R32 Gtst
RBceffy25 replied to nIsMo86's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
bump! need some info on this. Will R32 GTR diff centre fit into my R33 GTST housing with cefiro 4 bolt back plate and cefiro 5 bolt drive shafts? -
If your able to warm the engine up to operating temp, perform a compression check. Also take the cap off the radiator (while its cold of course), disconnect the coil igniter pack then crank the engine and watch if the coolant throbs in unison with the turning over of the engine (if you understand what i mean). If there is a crack in the head or stuffed head gasket the compression from cylinder 1 (or whatever cylinder its coming from) will be visible coming out of the radiator. You can also have this test done with a special instrument that measures the gasses coming out of the top of the radiator. Its much more accurate. Check your oil for water contamination. (milk in oil cap) Check for oil contamination in the coolant. (milky coolant, possibly foamy/bubbly ) If all else fails then perform a leak-down test or have a workshop do it for you. By any chance, do you live on the Gold Coast?

The DE diff ratio is the same as the DET model 4.363 I'll put the whole list up tomorrow.

Will Skyline Dump Front Pipe Fit Cefiro
RBceffy25 replied to shakotan-cefiro's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
this is great! I have been trying to find an answer to this question for ever! Has anyone had experience with these and are they any good? For example, will the flanges line up? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FLYING-S13-180SX-S1...#ht_3612wt_1137 -
I have a rather large list of nissan diff ratio's. I'll post it up when i find it

I have read around a bit that all or most R200 stub axles will work. allegedly they are all interchangeable. So it would be a matter of remove current diff from car, swap rear housing, swap stub axles, install R33 diff with old diffs rear housing and stubs. And this should all work fine?
-
I also recommend these guys, also on brisbane road, for new tyres, fitting and balancing, puncture repairs and all your wheel and tyre needs. They have done some sweet deals for me in the past.
-
I do have the whole diff just sitting there. got it for a steal of a price too! I was sure i read on a thread on here that it wont fit for some reason i ant remember. Please explain how it will fit? i.e. Back plate? Thanks for the info man!

Dude you seriously wanna go to Performance Suspension, 14/239 Brisbane Road LABRADOR QLD, 4215, 07 55292366. I have always used them for my Ceffy and every time i have been in he usually has either a couple of skylines or imports of some type in the worksop. They are really good and know what they are doing when it comes to imports. Speak with either Dave or Justin. I have had my Tein coilovers rebuilt through them along with rear subframe bushes and seals, KTS pillow ball tension rods fitted and a whole bunch of other shit! They know their shit man!

Engine/Car: 1990 A31 Cefiro S1 RB25DET Type of failure: Possible head gasket/head failure Factors influencing the failure: Possibly detonation?. About 2 months before failure engine overheated after installing FMIC. Cooler pipe fouled the rad. fan. performed immediate oil change. State of tune of the engine: Standardish. full 3'' exhaust with stock dump and gutted cat, pod filter and CAI, Blitz DSBC on 10psi Suspension and tyres:Tein HE coilovers F&R, 235/45/17 Talon Triangles F&R (possibly the worst tyres ever made) Oil used and service interval: Motul Turbolight 4100 10w40 strictly every 4000km General comments: Car is used as daily driver. I took my Ceffy for a bit of a spin one night. Ran fine but before I parked it up for the night I noticed it developed what sounded like a miss. I have just done plugs bout 1000k's ago. Went to start her up next morning and sounded like a motorbike/lawnmower and I thought coil pack maybe. Pumped the throttle twice while running and it blew a heap of what appeared to be steamy smoke out of the exhaust then idled ok but still with the miss characteristics. I shut her down and checked my oil level which was down a little but no milk in the oil cap and then check coolant only to find it had turned to a milkshake.

As the title implies, is it possible to shim and fit 4.11:1 R33 gtst centre into my A31 Cefio housing? And if so, would it be beneficial/worth doing?. Car is to be used for street/daily driver only with around 260rwkw, RB25DET with VCT active. Current ratio is factory RB20det 4.36:1 behind factory RB20DET 5 speed but plan to upgrade to R33 25det box and diff when i start upping the power. Any advice would be highly appreciated! Cheers!

AH HA! now i understand what you mean. Are you using the standard intake pipe? if so, plumb it off that. If its an after market hard pipe it too should have outlets already plumbed. Otherwise i don't think you would have a problem with the filter idea.
-
Sweet as man. let us know how you get along.
-
That would be the line from the turbo intake pipe i think. It way work but i assume you may have an issue controlling idle rpm? any thoughts?
