yeah... were you surviving on cold retort pouch rations? did you have to pee into a hole in the ground? Did you have to go without showering for 5 days straight? Did you have to march 10-20km/day to objectives?

if i survived 3 months in the australian outback on an army training exercise with minimal communication with family, and still was able to smile and say i had fun, i'm sure a few years FIFO is no big deal.

i'd go work in the mines for a long time.. FIFO is great stuff. No commitments either. Well, except for being in a long distance relationship, which wouldnt make a difference which part of australia i'm in anyway.
