  1. Yet, turning sewage water into potable water or something close to that is pretty energy intensive as well, membrane separation and boiling going on.
  2. wasn't 5.1 the silicon based fluid?
  3. the thing about desal is that its the only way to go, the skies aren't providing enough water, and i'm not sure if people are willing to drink the water that carried away their own pee/shit.
  4. why would you wanna own a tiger/lion?
  5. You think Australia is a nanny state? Try living in Singapore as a SINGAPOREAN, and you'll know nanny state.
  6. just use your WA australian license, its only 3 months.
  7. People still drink and drive because even if they lose their license, its just a slap on the wrist to be driving without a license anyway.

  9. i've studied chinese for 10 years, and i can't even read/write properly, and i can never have a proper conversation in mandarin. its a pretty tough language, a few thousand different characters, and a few hundred common ones.. tsk, how i hated chinese.
  10. lack of discipline eh? are parents allowed to hit their kids in australia?
  11. thank god i'm buying a supra instead. they're less common
  12. As the topic says, I'm probably ready to buy by march or so, hopefully if all goes will with my dad's business deal, then i'll be getting the car. So i'm looking at a supra, preferably costing between 10 to 12k, in Victoria. But if its really cheap, i might be willing to travel to NSW or SA, since airfares aren't all that expensive. Auto/Manual doesn't matter, but preferably manual. Drop me a pm if you have such a car for sale!

I've been seeing this white r33 covered in dust for probably half a year now. In the carpark of Arrow on Swanston. Does anyone know who it belongs to? Seems abandoned.
  14. nope, i dont think so.. no insurance i guess. i haven't even made a police report, there's this whole window between 23rd dec and now when it happened, i dont know when. I dont really mind not having the frame back, but i do want my wheels. should i make a report? and what can i do if i spot the guy riding my bike? can i like nudge the guy with my car?
  15. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Planet-X-New-Jack-F...=item3a56cc6a01 i used to ride this frame, should i get it again, i realise its old, but despite the longish chainstays, it was pretty easy to stay on the rear wheel. not so fun for 180s though... just thinking..
  16. apparently my bike got stolen. i dont know when, i reckon over the xmas period, but i cannot be sure, because i just found out. I'm sad, just when i got the cranks fixed up properly.. I have a giant acid frame in the garage, they left that alone. But i dont really like dirtjump frames, so i'm unsure, i considered either quitting bicycles, or build a trials bike from weird parts left over in my garage.
  17. i like rich maha =D

  19. Its only clean because the cleaners work overtime... I can be in the city at 4am after a movie and i see cleaners around clearing the trash.. People do litter, ciggie butts and stuff can get you a fine, minimum $200, but its hardly enforced nowadays. And the corrective work order penalty that seemed to be so effective a decade or so ago, has pretty much been scrapped. I dont know the details, but nobody sees it happening anymore. But i'm all for limiting the cars speed to 115km/h, thats a pretty good idea, but of course its not going to sit to well with the general public. People generally dont like to have any amount of limitations put on them. And unless the whole limiter thing is going to be sponsored, nobody will voluntarily go for it. Once again, making it compulsory for cars to be limited otherwise face a huge fine or something would be cool. Taking cars away is too drastic i reckon, thats akin to a minimum 10 grand fine, kinda harsh don't you think?
  20. any accidents are always pretty sad.. but why allow such young kids to handle such a powerful car? When i was 19, all i had to drive was a suzuki 1.3L van.
  21. so they're blue swimmers, okay then they don't sound too bad, i love blue swimmers, they're awesome just steamed. alright, now its justified. but when there are crabs, there isnt much fish to catch, because the crabs will get your bait before the fish do.
  22. better off to hunt for just the crabs.. are they blue swimmers? Or what weird crabs are they? I've never been able to get a proper answer from anybody. I've only had experience with mudcrabs, I catch them with a torchlight and a long handled net back home, walking along river banks. I reckon from bream, pippies or prawns work awesome, but use a lighter leader. Once i was at docklands during my lunch break, and caught nothing on 20lb leader, but once i swapped it to 12lbs, i caught something, so try it out. Sometimes its the bait presentation.
  23. 1. casting setup Fenwick idonnowhat rod 10-20, shimano chronarch, PE2 line 2. Some japanese rod, Dogtooth special or something, and Avet SX with P6 line. Used for hunting those 15kg+ groupers off the malaysian wrecks.
  24. its a pretty long drive eh? The last i heard, some guys went there and caught nothing but weeds, then again, they were fishing.
  25. i want kingfish!
