then it doesn't really affect us right? i've got an epa exhaust that reads 84 anyway. The 10 seconds of smoke does seem a little concerning. I don't blow smoke, but if i do, that is indeed an expensive fix.

I can't see how fixing exhaust noise and smoke is going to cost 1k. assuming they dont change the standards. a full epa is what? 80$. noise test is 48.60 unless they're going to have their own in house testing stations and charge mad feez.

because we've heard it all before? Well, if he wants to do it the dodgy way, does OP still have an interstate license? And also interstate registered cars? Because if he does, just drive on the interstate car and use his interstate license, till his suspension period is over.
