assuming perfect seal, same same, the problem with etOH based fuels is it absorbs water, and above a certain percentage, it splits. not funny so yeah dont use old fuel. with petrol, octane falls and the additives gum up in the presence of oxygen. much of the same really.

the metal lines will be fine, its the rubber that may or may not swell up, its a litigation issue. most will be fine, but fuel lines are not expensive. so just change them?
