Cheers for the wraps on the RX7 fellas, appreciate it. I guess show cars are one of those things.... some love em, some hate em. Everyone has their reasons. The car itself has only been built in less than 12 months and it has a long way to go so expect more crazy/extreme mods coming. I really enjoy competing and I really enjoy letting my imagination run wild. I am just a guy who loves cars and show cars in particular. With regards to me being foolish.... yer maybe. lol but lets face it.... who wants to see a boring show car? I know I dont and I know the people who walk through the door at the show don't. When they leave its those extreme machines they remember. The people get their say and on the weekend they voted LE RX7 as Peoples Choice, and by a ridiculously large margin (even after only half the votes were counted). The actual show itself was a little dissapointing, on many levels. The numbers through the door on Saturday were real low but it did pick up on Sunday. Overall though it could have been a lot better. I enjoyed the cars at the show with a fair few new cars on display, was good to see. Glad some of you like the RX7.... off to Sydney in 2 weeks though for Final Battle....

ModYourCar replied to LTSJayce's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I'm just catching up on the news here from Perth and being all the way over here and not personally knowing the 3 people I feel sick to the stomach. I think a tragedy like this is close to the home of all of us and I hope it makes people realise that they must take care on our roads. Condolences to family, friends and SAU from the ModYourCar team. -

Spark Plugs and other Performance Parts
ModYourCar replied to greddy_monstor's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey guys... just read this thread and noticed a few "questions" I can help answer. ModYourCar is a complete online service, there is no shopfront. There are many reasons for this. When yuo buy something it is usually shipped to you directly from one of our suppliers located all over Australia. Most items ship relatively quick but some special order items like Japanese parts can be out of stock requireing a special order. We are very flexible though and we do allow you to cancel orders if you don't want to wait a lengthy period for parts. If you guys have any further questions please just ask! -
Due to lack of interest this group buy is now closed.

More info can be found here: http://www.the-pivot.co.jp/new-pages/PRODU...DUCTS-EC_E.html

Yes you are right... but you are buying direct from Japan with no real warranties or guarantees. You are also bypassing Australian taxation laws which is illegal. Our Japanese products come from Australian distributors where they should. They are imported into the country correctly and that's why they cost more than your "Japanese contacts". I'd also like to see the service your "contacts" give you. At the end of the day you shop where you want.
-
Rob.... LOL.... only trying to make a point dude.
-
To be honest I am not sure but I can't imagine it being much. ALL of our PIVOT products come with a 12 month manufacturer warranty and English iunstructions.
-
Sorry to hear about that.... this is why I tell people all the time that sometimes it's better to buy brand new so that you get a warranty. I know at ModYourCar we offer a complete 12-month manufacturer warranty on most items available. Sometimes it pays to spend that little bit extra...

OK... sorry I took so long... get in contact with Stuart Randall on 0409 906 593 or 9483 6339.

Not a dumb question at all... the other FEATURES it has are listed in my original post. So yes it has a SPEED METER that acts as a speedometer. As taken from my original post: Speed Meter Displays speeds in 1 kilometer units from 0 to 350 km/h. Also has a Hold Peak Speed Function.

Hi all I am putting on a group buy for Skylines Australia for the awesome little Pivot Speed Meter. Cost: $140 each (that includes postage) Minimum required: We need to sell at least 5 for the group buy to go ahead. To register interest: Email us at [email protected] with your name and address. Payment Options: Once the group buy has achieved a minimum of 5 buyers we will ask for payment via credit card, bank transfer, cheque or money order. I will add peoples name to this thread once they have registered interest so that we all know how many people we have. PIVOT SPEED METER FEATURES! Limiter Remover Removes the speed limiter built into cars to stop them from going over 180 km/h (for K cars 140 km/h). With this unit you can experience the world of high speed over 180km/h. Speed Meter Displays speeds in 1 kilometer units from 0 to 350 km/h. Also has a Hold Peak Speed Function. Acceleration Timer Automatic measuring system allows you to track acceleration speed by setting desired distance and get readings for time and max speed over that distance. More info can be found here: http://www.the-pivot.co.jp/new-pages/PRODU...DUCTS-EC_E.html We have many more PIVOT products and more available at www.ModYourCar.com.au so please browse our online catalogue.

It's unfortunately true that the cops will yellow you for any reason they want. That's the life of a car modifier and if you do modify your car in any way then you have to just learn to deal and live with it. What I suggest is being proactive about your mods... get them approved before you make them and then once approved get them approved over the pits and get certificates. That's really all you can do to protect yourself. At the end of the day you can show the cops your permit and they can still sticker you. With regards to gauges, I have quite a bit of experience there... LOL Basically if you install gauges into your cabin they can not obscure your vision. Large a-pillar mounts that create a blindspot are definetely a no-no and a cop can sticker you for that. Gauges installed must not interfere with your driving or other gauges within your cluster. At the end of the day your car is your responsibility so do what you can to protect yourself from infringements.

I can't remember it was some time ago... I'll get the number tonight for ya!

Call Stewart Randall from Lower Profiles... I have his business card at home I'll post the number if I remember. He did the rear guards on ROLLA SX back in the day... I was quite happy with the job.
