just regarding the rb motor..i can't double check, but isn't there a few 1000hp skylines? what engines were they using? probably would be helpful looking up what exactly they did

Wait do you have insurance yourself? 3rd party or Comprehensive? If you don't i'm not entirely sure, uhm... You can call the Insurance company and ask them about their policies (before stating that you've had an accident) I don't know if I heard it right once, but apparently they don't need 3 insurance quotes anymore, just 1 is fine or something. But all I would do is ring up and try and work around it by getting it cheaper, I was almost rooted like that once (i had insurance, but the chick tried to get 1800 for me putting a little dent in her crappy hyandai door...) But yeah... Not honestly too sure with those kinda things... Sorry dude :S

might be worth mentioning something of my experience (old thread I know) but I just bought an r34 gt-t, at the time i was pondering "why does it have an auto's steering wheel and dash..yet it's manual" some people were saying "maybe theyve mucked around with the dash!" but it clicked to me, this car has had a auto > manual conversion... now i'm not honestly sure WHEN it was done and what gearbox though it was done in japan, but just look out for that when buying the car, compare pics of manuals and auto's and you'll see interior differences not that i'm complaining! just my clutch is kinda going, but the gearbox i think is fine hehe

hey mate, the body kit is the optional nismo aero kit (much nicer than the series 2 stock kit) and i've been chasing that kit forever! hard to get, either gonna get a copy or get an impul kit haha.. and the misfire that happened to me to! my car was misfiring that bad it sounded like a wrx :S (engine light came on once upon a time and it was baaaaad reset after a while though) but anyway yeah, it's most likely coil packs, i'm having mine replaced as well as new ngk iridiums put in next week when i get back from site. just visit this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fi...view=getnewpost

well i find out in another WEEK if mine is fixed..damn warranty takes ages to sort out but im just having new spark plugs put in and coilpacks changed.. so yeah hopefully that fixes it! once that's over i needa sort out my gear crunches :S

this is my random little opinion... but isn't it a bit stupid to be putting the rwd's in with the awd's? they aren't in the same class.. if your going to be comparing evo's/sti's/skylines... they are using their best.. so why don't we compare with GTR's? or is that not fair? i mean i love most turbo's i love car's in general! but wouldnt it just be better if you compared an evo/sti/gtr... for they are all the top sort of range of their class..all japanese... on the other hand... comparing a 33 gtst or something to the normal wrx or whatever, it's possible but it's just more of what you want..wanna go round that corner sideways or wanna go round it with LOADS of grip your choice on what fun you have my conclusion, as long as it's japanese.. buy it

i've got those alpine ones in the rear of my car.. for fill, but if your going to keep the kenwood ones put the better speakers in the front, cause that's where you will want the better speakers all the time.. and if it comes to getting better speakers like 6.5 splits chuck them in the front and move the alpines to the back!!! i would just keep the better speakers at the front hehe

Either way if you say this Max is great, then i'll just go and let them fiddle with it until my car works Hope they do separate claims! can only claim up to a certain amount for every part... but in that case I have unlimited claims to hehe

I meant O'connor.... yes basically they are both in O'connor... @hoony Yeah I was going to try and ask, I did last time but I think the guy ignored me... he mentioned Xspeed used to be on their list but now they aren't? I mean it's worth a try if I go in and tell them what I want replaced. eg splitfires in, redline shockproof in. Or you reckon it's better to let them diagnose... NOT much experience with garages that I'm not too sure about but have to go through..

Hey all, Just a random question. I have to go through AWN warranty to get my car's misfire/gear crunching fixed, and they have recommended me to a place in Osbourne park called Aquilla Automotive's? Has anyone ever heard of these guys? apparently they are around the corner from Xspeed. I would LIKE to take my car to Xspeed or someone similar! but I'm not too sure the AWN warranty dealers will let me If anyone has had any experiences with them or what you think I should do? That would be GRAND! Phil

hey mate, there's a tutorial that E_Lu-SHuN did for an R34 auto to manual conversion, just shows you through what to get before hand etc and the process of it... just a tip, get a good gearbox.. as mine has had a manual conversion in japan and i have no idea what gearbox i have in it... and it's crunching gogo redline shockproof
