  1. Looks like a VL/VK http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holden_Commodore_SS_Group_A Me no likey
  2. I have 18X9.5 +22 all round. 235/40 front and 265/35 rear (had them spare with plenty of tread). Rear is perfect for me but there is a bit of poke on the fronts though. I have BC Racing BR coilovers and thought that they had some degree of camber adjustment, apparently not. Thinking I may need camber arms to tuck them in a little... Thoughts? Can't seem to attach photos dammit!
  3. Well an empty still weighs 20kgs and isn't restrained, so if you don't have it sitting right and it falls you could injure yourself or others I guess (and look like the tard that dropped a bar..) Smith machine with 10 a side to start, once I get familiar with it move up to barbell. Front squat focuses on the quad right? Also, what program do you suggest to really stimulate calf growth? I'm finding that the arches of my feet start going before my calves so not getting the most out of it. I'm considering taking skipping back up to develop some conditioning on rest days and then high volume sets on leg day. Comments?
  4. Use a Smith machine to figure out which grip works for you. I'm going to start front squats soon and that's what I plan on doing first. No way I'm going to try arms crossed with a barbell first time round. Might kill someone
  5. Barbell hip thrusts are glorious when carried by a fit female =) Always a pleasure to inspect form whilst resting between sets. I go to the gym to be inspired! But yes, I am conscious of doing something unconventional, someone taking the piss and posting on the web. It's the generation we live in I guess, doesn't mean we have to like it though.
  6. Age old saying right, "Everything in moderation"? Atkins is great way to shed bodyfat but I personally wouldn't use it year round. I don't know about you guys but when I'm on a low carb diet I eat heaps of veg, particularly greens, so it's not like the diet is completely skewed towards protein it still needs to be rounded. I am of course am a health/nutrition noob. In the end if you want to gain muscle your protein intake needs to support that. Get big and die trying seems accurate
  7. Cable lumberjacks (think that's what they're called) could possibly hit the lower back, abs and obliques.
  8. I've recently had a few too many issues with DL (which sucks because I was making good progress, 150kg x 5), so I have been limiting lower back to bodyweight style hyper extensions etc.
  9. Could also plank, normal and side. 100% contraction, compared to top 1/3 for a situp/crunch and no negative impact to the back. V-sits on a bench are good, as are leg raises with legs overhanging the end of the bench.
  10. Love BF3 but I'm loathe to start BF4 simply on the basis of having to level up again haha. I'm only a level 15? (I think) colonel in BF3 and that has been a lot of gaming hours for me. C-Ry11 add me on PS3 PS: Keyboard players are cheats =)
  11. That's some serious weight, congrats!
  12. 18x9.5 +22 for $1395 delivered. I have a set of 265/35 to throw on the rears and just need to suss out what to use up front, maybe 235/40 with a bit of stretch. Will need rolled guards from the reading I've done. Have a look at Mars Performance MP37 as well http://marsperformance.com.au/MARS-Wheels/MP37
  13. Teaspoon of mono in the morning with apple and blackcurrant juice. Sa grittay!! I don't notice the effect when I'm on it but really notice when I come off (strength & recovery). Are you taking protein powder as well? Sometimes when I start back on the shakes I tend to get a little bit of bloat but it drops off.
  14. It seems every industry is going through reform/restructure/change management at the moment.
  15. On another note, my varrstoens will hopefully arrive this week. Yes, yes slap on the wrist for replica Te37, hence need mining job!!
  16. Jobs for mates?? Civil engineer working for government, need more papersssssssssssss
  17. What a fizzler. I booked a sickie yesterday and because nothing happened I felt bad and came into work today quickly amended my timesheet haha Could have gone some more rain though
  18. Have a mate in South Townsville off Boundary Street tell me they had surge waters coming through the street at 10 am today. They packed up and got out. Parents place in Idalia is sandbagged the sh!t up, so hopefully should be alright. All servos are closed and I heard the highway to Bowen is closed? Then I saw plenty of people heading west towards the Towers??? I don't know why you would bother, nothing there is rated to any form of cyclone. I'm praying it doesn't swing south anymore but there is nothing more to do than sit tight and wait this out. Goodluck dudes!
  19. Not only do we have the cyclone to contend with, there is the possible 4m tidal surge and 1m of terrential flooding FML. Here is the flood innundation map that the Bully released today... http://static.townsvillebulletin.com.au/docs/yasi-urban-area.pdf
  20. Question. Will a map burnt to the Nistuned ecu be wiped if you disconnect the battery terminals (i.e. the method for resetting the factory ecu)?
  21. Thanks for the detailed explanation Matt. Most of it goes over my head but I generally know where you are going. In regards to the dodgy trial version, a mate I know supplied me with said trial (the version before licencing issues) and had previously tuned his car (innovate wideband) and advised that it would work fine for what I wanted. I also played around with the trial a few times and never had communication problems, I managed to data log a few road runs in consult mode, pulled up most of the gauges and as such thought is was working fine. My mistake. Yes I probably should have bought the full version but I thought the trial worked for me and it was free, so like I wasn't going to try it out. But yeah in the end I just want my car to reach the potential of the mods I have put into it. No one in this city sells or promotes tuning with NIStune so I really had no local knowledge of the product and neither did the tuner. It is all a learning curve and at no stage was I point fingers just trying to work through the problem. Thanks for your input once again.
  22. After more discussions with the tuner, he called Matt and the reason behind the drop in communication is that there is too much electrical noise and the ECUtalk cable is the issue?? Tuner mentioned that it took him 30mins to change one section of the fuel map in between drops in communication... Now Matt suggested another cable probably the plms? one ($100) and problem solved. I paid $80 for the ECUtalk cable and it has, and I quote the tuner, taken 13hours on the dyno to get a raw tune!!! I can't believe this shit... Needless to say the car won't be ready until Monday when the cable gets here and I swear it better not take long to get the final tune on it!
  23. Unfortunately guys I'm in North Queensland and tuners are few and far between There is definitely a lack of skill up here. Trent mods are pretty much identical to Matt from Nistunes.
