  1. I have the ECUtalk cable which has the consult head and a usb connector Tuner is a confessed link computer lover and hater of NIStune apparently. The laptop being used is mine, tuner didn't have NIStune but claimed he could tune it. The OS is XP and I never had problems when logging using the trial NIStune version (before it got canned). I just really think the tuner is making it difficult because he is a hater...
  2. Hi guys. Car has been into the workshop for a tune and it took 4 hours for a raw tune. I supplied the tuner with a ECUtalk cable and my laptop. Tuner believes that communication kept dropping out?? Has anyone else encountered this problem... If the cable is the cause then I'm pissed because it is costing me delays on the dyno @ $200/hr.
  3. So I have been waiting for my tune on my 34 for a month now and asked the mechanic to install injectors and z32 (2nd hand) and then tune with nistune. Now when it came to the afm, the pinout diagram supplied by PM-R33 was used, he said it wasn't working (couldn't get another information out of him). He claimed the afm is faulty, so how do I check this? Is it moat likely that the sensor was damaged during transit? Needless to say he reinstalled the stock afm to tune with today... All in all pretty unhappy it has come down to this after 4 weeks wait.
  4. Cheers mate. From my research (and obvious lack of eliteness, wealth and not owning the car back when the yen was at 103 lol) and budget it seemed the perfect choice. Yeah I have the 5 bolt exhaust housing so I had a custom 3.5in dump pipe fabd up for it. I have a feeling my nismo injectors are going to let me down though. But yeah that's for another thread.
  5. Ok so I don't have a 33 but I do currently have an untuned 3071R 0.82 IW (genuine not the cropped version, I made sure of that) on my 34, WHICH IS GOING FOR A TUNE TOMORROW!! So excited Basically the same setup as Matt from NIStune, so anticipating 260-280rwkw at 17psi... Bought the kit from Mick Whittle (Boostn Imports) and can't recommend him enough.

  7. Hi dudes and dudettes, After some big drop-in injectors (550+cc) capable of supporting E85 on an R34GTT, new or used depending on price (needed before 13th Septemeber for a tune). R34 injectors are top feed, high impedance. Cheers, Chris

  11. I'm interested but skeptical... Your username and parts for sale thread suggest you own an R33 but your photos show the wheels on a supra. Are the actual rims the ones from the photos? A set of 18in Rays in good condition with tyres for $1500?? As they say if it seems too good to be true... Great looking rims and if they are the ones in the photos, offset is confirmed and tread is good should be gone pretty quick (I would love a set).

  13. Mate just a few tips. Intercooler = Just Jap Cooling pro (no need to cut holes in the apron on the car) Boost controller = Turbotech bleed valve ($25) and HDi boost gauge ($40) ECU = Nistune approx $300 and $400 tune (highly unlikely to get defected and much cheaper than PFC) If on a strict budget this is just my suggestion. Goodluck, R34 are a great car! C.

  15. Yeah I'm pretty sure they are 8kg F/6kg R... Not having experienced coilovers before this, it's not uncomfortable at all really.

  17. Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I would like to know if there is a significant difference between the brightness of light produced between the 6000K and 8000K bulbs. My stock bulbs are terrible and I think it is time to replace them before they become too dull and a safety hazard. Would also be curious to know if anyone has installed a 6000K in one headlight and a 8000K in the other to show the difference in colour and brightness?
  18. The BC BR's on my daily driven R34 at mid dampener setting are great, plenty of height adjustment too. So no complaints here!

  20. Bit of a revival, but here goes. My car will be at my power figure soon enough and now I want to start planning the exterior mods. I have a white 98' coupe and from my searching I'm pretty set on the Impul sides and rear. Not too sure on the front bar at the moment but would need something that lines up and would like the front indicators fully enclosed. Something like this would be great http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a298384- Top Secret?? Also, as I live in North Queensland, who would be the best supplier to source kits from? Carmate, or DMD? Any help would be great thanks.
  21. Wow man, looks like a rocket ship! I remember someone installing their boost controller unit in the little compartment near the consult port, so I tried it and ended up butchering the whole thing and in the end it didn't fit I think I will try and track down a din pocket and do it your way.
