So will this build up of backpressure stress the engine? It really does sound like installing a fmic prior to an exhaust isn't a good idea. So a nice 3" exhaust from the turbo back should allow better flow (was thinking a kakimoto cat back with a bellmouth front/dump) to balance the amount of boost produced by the intercooler?

Ok so the fact that the intercooler is dumping more cold air into the pistons will mean that too much boost will be produced for the stock exhaust to handle?? And how would the induction noise change? Maybe I should just hold off until I can afford an exhaust

Hey guys, My HDi Gt Spec intercooler and EBC arrived yesterday and I plan to have them installed this weekend. I just wanted to know, considering the car is completely stock, what I could expect to see performance wise (whether it be a positive or a negative outcome). Like will I have turbo lag or any other problems? I just want a heads up so I don't freak out lol. I know I should have installed an exhaust first but I got a good deal on this stuff so I took it. Next step would be a full 3" system. Oh and I was thinking of setting my boost controller at 8psi for low and 9psi for high (too much??). Any information or advice would be awesome. Cheers, Chris

Hey guys thought this thread might help me fix my cloudy drivers side headlight. So I bought myself some plasticX and although I removed what I could from the outside the headlight is still cloudy! Further investigation revealed that the plastic mounts on the housing have cracked and now have left a nice hole... So I am convinced that I need to clean the inside of the headlight and patch the hole. However no one has advised how to attempt this. There has been mention of removing the headlight and placing it in the oven and heating it until it is soft enough to separate, but no positive statement that anyone has done this. So my questions are: 1) How do I SAFELY open the headlight 2) Should I use plasticX on the inside or just a car wash and let it dry? 3) How to reseal the headlight.. Basically can I just reheat it until it is soft and sticky again and then clamp it shut and cool? Cheers dudes and dudettes

Hey Jezza, yeah that does help! I guess I am just being a coward (noobitis) and just don't want to buy a mod and not have it work out. I hear these filters are great and the induction noise is rank too!!
