Pics of interior added to gfoto. The pics are a yr old, but nothings changed except the gear knob has been replaced with a black leather razo item, and an autometer boost gauge added Intercooler is stock Havent heard my mechanic report any problems regarding the turbo or oil, and I see them every 6 mths for regualr service. The turbo is a stock '94 GTS25T unit that occassionaly sees up to 10psi boost (under control by a dyno tuned AVC-R), but mainly I run it at 7psi Price is somewhat negotiable, just dont expect to drive away for a penny and expect me to throw in a tank to boot Honestly, as the user of the car, I can only report on what I *observe* to be the condition of the engine, turbo, etc etc. . Its like asking me whats the condition of my kidneys. I can tell u that I feel great but only a doctor (ie mechanic) can tell me what the true condition is. I urge you if you are mechanically minded to come see for yourself or organize an NRMA inspection if you are intereste d:)

i did tap the red (power) wire to power the safc and avcr, as per their respective instruction manuals stated. hmmm...
-
thanks yeah, lucky question is, since the ecu basically had a 'reset', would it change the air / fuel ratios, timing etc so my original safc settings might need some tuning adjustment again?
-
i started her this morning! logged on to SAU, found a fuse diagram for the line pulled out 10A engine control, blown as i expected swapped it with an interior lamp fuse, turnkey, blown fuse again open kick panel, found one ecu wire melted and stuck on to body pulled out wire and insulated it, replaced fuse, started a lucky win.

my r33 stalled when stopped at the lights today, and failed to start back up again. it would crank, but theres no ignition. my safc and avcr are showing blank screen indicating theres no power to the ecu at all got an nrma roadside, he checked some points with the multimeter, and said theres no injector pulse either so the conclusion is either, blown fuse? dead ecu? or immobiliser cutting the circut either way, i gotta tow it to the auto electrician tomorrow its like 300 bucks down the drain either way. but if its a dead ecu then i could save myself the trouble and just plug another one in...

I have a R33 Gts25t hi-flow cat for sale. Stainless. 3" hi-flow. Xforce brand boxed. $140 pm me if interested. email: [email protected]

my r33 has made 201.9kw with the following mods: - no name dump, apexi front pipe, apexi cat back - k&n panel filter - avc-r @ 10psi - safc II - o2 sensor replaced I got it tuned at UniGroup engineering. Heres a link to the dynograph. I reckon the figure is a bit high but it does show how the safc & proper tuning helped out : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...m/dynomycar.jpg

Simon, What Yavuz (the tuner) explained to me was, under the boost curve for the 'standard' setup (ie the avcr was setted to self learn 10psi, with no rpm specific learning, etc), the avcr started building up to 10psi at the 6k rpm mark very sharply, so the ecu backed off, as a result the boost dropped off a bit and the ecu let power pick up again.

Tonight I just had my R33 GTST dyno tuned by Unigroup. Mods were turboback exhaust, k&n panel, apexi safc2 and avcr. The results surprised me quite a bit given the relatively 'stockish' mods, but im more happy that the safc tune managed to smooth out an irratic power curve ... The dyno tune took about an hour and costed me $200 for safc/avcr/base timing, I'm quite happy with it...

hihi, im about to purchase the e-manage as well... question is, do i need to buy the CD and cable? or would the tuner have them? btw i only have until tomorrow to get it in hk for a reasonable price (arnd $400aud for the base unit)....so i dont have enough time to read through all the posts to do real hardcore research ...

Where can I find insurance for my import?
shoey_R33 replied to PranK's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Update: i just got my this year's bill from justcar..I just turned 24 this yr. Last year it was $2200 This year's bill it dropped down to $1735, which reflected my 'upgrade' from 50% ncb to 60% ncb The car is R33 GTS25t, manual, 1994. All stock, agreed value $19k I am not sure if it will get cheaper from this year now, since the ncb did made a bit of significant savings and 60% is the max.... -

Questions on Tein HR coilovers
shoey_R33 posted a topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi all, I'm looking at picking up some Tein HR coilovers from overseas for my R33 GTS25t. The seller said it fits ECR33, which I believe is the GTS25t. But on the Tein website product list for R33, there are only HA and RS items for GTR... whats the go with GTS?? Secondly because I need to bring them over here (actually, my gf will), how heavy are the entire set of coilovers? Finally what are the risks of buying 2nd hand suspension? oil leaks and what else? Is it possible to see if the springs are worn or have lost stiffness? -
Happened to my friend's 300zx as well. One day he found coolant fluid all over his interior floor - caused by a busted heater core. Unfortunately according to the 'warranty' (it was a 91 model, so the warranty was a bought one) the cooling system coverage only includes the radiator. costed him over 1k!! outrage is that to keep that warranty he needs to get the car serviced at that dealer every 3 mths!!! In fact if you look at those extended warranties the items they cover is so limited (like up to $500 for pistons, yeah right) and is designed to fool the consumer to a false sense of comfort. It lists obvious items like block and pistons but the detail stuff that breaks like engine mounts arnt listed...

SKY031 are you referring to the old ones or the '93 onwards bluebird 2.4L?

2k is an excellent price!

I had my first car written off too (shockingly within 21 days of having it)! but these days the s13/s14 are within quite an affordable price range. Isnt the '94 or so 180SX for around the 10-12k mark? I would think thats a cheaper option plus you get used to the characteristics of a turbo car?
