Hey all, I'm planning to take the Mrs for a weekend away on the Great Ocean Road. Just wondering if any of you know of any good hotels etc to stay at. Haven't really decided on which town to stay in so I guess that will happen from your recommendations. Thanks.

Grats on your purchase. My previous car was stolen, found 2 weeks later crashed into a tree in croydon(i live in ringwood) over the following weeks i received a lot of speeding and red light fines. My old car wasn't much but it had a big stereo which was stripped, all except the front speakers lol. Insurance paid me now im getting an R33, cant wait to pick it up.

Same here, lots of bogans in my area too. Hear burnouts almost everynight, thing is, im pretty sure its the same car. Must not have many friends..

It doesn't even count revs or get stuck that I noticed. It just really fast all over the place. Think of setting a clock and just spinning the needle backwards and forwards really fast. It's just all over the place, both when driving and idle. Thanks for the replies

Hey guys, The R33 I'm buying had its pre-purchase inspection and passed it with flying colours, other than a few minor things, eg parker globes. Anyways, I noticed that the rev tacho just jumped all over the place when actually driving as well as idol. My mechanic seems to think it is something to do with the ignition while the guy im buying it off doesn't really know whats causing it. Have any of you guys experianced/heard of this problem? If so, what was causing it and how do I fix it? Thank a lot.

The mechanic I go to is the best i've every gone to. Edge Automotive in Bayswater. His name is Phil. One morning my oil pressure switch in my old car broke and I needed it to drive to the airport that night. It was a Sunday and his day off but I rang him to see what he could do. He ended up coming into work and fixing my car for $50 and I was running a bit late picking it up and he said he had gotten bored and did a wheel balance, was going to do an alignment but I got there before he did I've recommended him a to a few people and they haven't been disappointed. He is also doing the pre-purchase inspection of my skyline tomorrow, hope it goes well!
