  1. got pics, just have to upload them.
  2. For sale is my 1996 model series 2 R33 Skyline it has 92000 kms, Dark silver. I purchased this car off the original importer so I am the second owner. I cannot fault this car, it is an immaculate example of an R33. It drives extremely well, there are no flat spots in the rev range as found with many other skylines and all mechanicals have been checked and are showing very minor wear. A major service was done when I originally purchased the car, since then the car has been regularly serviced every 5000kms or as necessary (usually sooner). Warmed up and cooled down every time I drive the car. Mainly used as a weekend car. It has the following minor modifications- Aftermarket Air filter FMIC Full 3" Exhaust Upgraded R34 turbo which has 30000kms and a steel rear turbine wheel (effectively making it alot more reliable). Turbo has been modified to suit aftermarket screamer pipe, I also have a 3" dump pipe that can be interchanged. Top secret Engine management specifically tuned to safely suit these modifications. All maintenance and upgrades have been performed and tested by professionals. Price is $11500 Sydney, NSW PICS UP SOON Any serious enquiries feel free to call on 0411688105 Regards, William
  3. i have pics of it not installed though.. ill take pics when i take the dump off.. i checked and checked again before i put it on to see if it was clearing everything and it was... but we'll see later today when i pull it off.. what an effort it was putting on the turbo lines, far out.
  4. trying an ecu, lets see how we go...
  5. Hey guys, r33 ser2 with an r34 turbo and minor mods. Goot a GFB manual boost tee connected but its not actually boosting yet as i havent got a boost guage installed yet. I have customised the rear of the turbo to seperate the wastegate flap and exhaust port of the turbo as to add a screamer pipe. Now, when i give the car a bootfull the wastegate flap seems to get stuck open as i can hear the exhaust constantly coming out of the screamer pipe section of the dump. It used to go away but has gotten progressively worse untill the only way i could get rid of it was giving it another bootfull, this took some doing as it would take forever to spool. But now it seems to be stuck for good. Gonna unbolt the dump tomoro and have a squiz. Has anyone come across this before? I have an r33 turbo spare (it let go so its not really spare), but can try an actuator swap? Let me know what you think cheers
  6. well done mate.. thanks alot
  7. i guess itll work then. Lets hope for the best..
  8. Hey guys are there different plugs associated with the ecu's between r33 s1's and s2's? Just trying to clarify why they are not interchangeable esp in regards to aftermarket ecu's.
  9. Please correct me if im wrong but if it has a richer map doesnt that slightly defy the point of a tuned ecu? I thought the idea was to go leaner but within the limits. Sounds like alot of black smoke and more fuel consumption. Again, correct me if im wrong, just to clarify it is suited to a std turbo then?
  10. Ive heard alot of different opinions here about the r34 rb25 turbos. Upon inspecting both ive found the r34 turbo to have a steel rear wheel amongst other minor things. Now im aware of r33 rb25 std turbos not agreeing with higher boost levels due to the rear wheel letting go being ceramic. What are your opinions with boost and an r34 rb25 std turbo remembering that it has a steel rear wheel. Let me know your thoughts..
  11. One other thing, who does remaps? Does anyone know of anyone selling one of those blitz, mines or tomei ECU's? Preferably tomei, I believe they still incorporate a rev limiter.
  12. Champions... ill take it all on board. One thing though its not boosted. I thought It could be a boost soleniod problem so i rigged up a manual controller but it did the same thing and i hadnt even started to play with the boost. Do you still believe its r&r? (Boost gauge in back seat not yet wired up so not sure of actual boost im running but it doesnt go like my mates boosted skyline with almost the same mods.
  13. Hey chaps. Im trying to narrow this problem down, let see if you have any more ideas. Basically under full throttle the car will pull like normal up to about 4000 rpm then continue smoothly but slowly and with a lot less power up to about 6000 rpm then kick in like normal again after that. Its relatively standard with a fmic, exhaust and pod, but it did the same thing slightly more noticeably when it was standard. New spark plugs didnt help. I believe its an air flow related issue maybe the a/f meter giving false readings forcing it to r&r? Not completely sure on the r&r situation as theres so much conflicting info about it. Also as u can imagine its alot more noticable in higher gears. Let me know your thoughts, cheers.
  14. no replies? im having a similar problem. Over 4000/5000 loss of power then power comes back on at 6000. come on guys help us out
