.... Not sure if srs?

Checked all of them yeah, which is annoying. We'll be hardwiring the fuel pump to turn on with a switch so that's just a matter of installing a switch, since it'll get constant power and turn on with an earth switch. Located in Kalamunda though. Cheers, Tim

Howdy, Wondering if anybody here is particularly handy with rb20 wiring? We're essentially finished with my rb20 conversion at the moment, and a bit stumped with getting it to start again. Symptoms are: Power is going essentially all through the loom, fuel pump working fine, starter motor not getting power, nothing firing on a/c or with key fully turned. Unfortunately when we stripped the wiring out of the halfcut the guy who pulled most of the wiring off wasn't quite as savvy as I'd have liked, and now I'm unsure about what we're missing. I'm thinking at this stage we're probably looking at a grounding issue, but if anybody has any experience with this and doesn't mind being paid in beer to come and have a look/give advice I'd be pretty grateful. Cheers, Tim _________________

You live in the hills yeah? I had a gopro and also live in the hills. We could make a film on some crazy hills roads if you're keen? Orange Valley Rd would be interesting I imagine!

Thread hijack, but I also have a problem with lights. My right headlight, just refuses to work atm. We're talking hi beams, low beams, parkers. Nothing. Worked fine until a few nights ago when my low beam bulb was about to die. Wiggled it about a bit to get it to work so I could drive home, and it died, and now nothing works. I imagine a fuse is blown, but even getting a mate to translate my jap fuse box revealed nothing about why only one side was out. Anybody care to shed any light on this?

There's meant to be a wicked road out in Chidlow somewhere actually, real windy and everything!
-
Also, just to reiterate, in case it didn't get covered enough... JASON YOU ARE A SMELLY NOOB.
-
Have you ever actually been to the zigzag?!? Also, going to Crystal Brook Road is likely to get yourself on the ear end of me driving home making 'gate sounds to amuse people. H'aint nothing funny about being downright sexy in public my friend.

This is an awesome feature. Which alarm do you have? I want mine to do that. Could imagine it'd be pretty cool the other way if you had gate and/or screamer pipes, and as soon as you got on boost your windows would open to make you deaf.

Best place for info on turbos is in the forced induction section of Skylines Australia, not SAUWA man. I'd find you a link, but I'm also well tired. At any rate, your turbo looks much smaller than my garett 3076. Also my silvia ca18 came stock with a garret turbo, afaik, so who knows?

Wound down my window to tell a dude he didn't have his lights on at 1130pm and he threw a whole large maccas coke through my friend's clubspec wrx's leather interior! That, is inconsiderate.

Anyone Here Know How To Wire A Microtech
That_timothy replied to luvpsi's topic in Western Australia
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ROTOMOTION. I have taken my skyline there and had nothing but trouble. Rotomotion will do things like: You take your car there to ask them to run it on the dyno, check your afr's and see what it's making power wise. Should take 15 minutes. They'll keep it for a week, when it was booked in for a single day, then when you pick it up you'll get a stupid excuse like "Oh, there was a car/box/feather in the way". Seriously, I know there's a rotomotions account on here, if there is a car in the way of your dyno, how about just just move it? You take your car to do a fuel pump, they quote you x amount, when you pick it up (again several days after they had told you it'd be done) it's double that. A year later you go to a real workshop and they tell you that you need to redo all of their work because the wiring is dodgey. You take your car for a clutch job, they take much longer than expected, charge you much more than they quoted, and then after a week it all comes apart because they haven't installed it properly. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ROTOMOTION. Seriously, shits me that people still talk about going there as if it's the best place in the world. I've heard nothing but bad things about them and had several bad experiences myself. -
Somebody should also mention that both custom windscreen wipers and lowering springs are both gayer than getting aids from Justin Beiber. That person may as well be me. I had a set of lowering springs, and the best use I found for them was using them as a coffee table. On the other hand, my Tien superstreets cost me 750 with installation and adjusted to whatever height I wanted.

Morning guys. I'm midway through collection parts for doing a ca18de+t conversion to my bunky s13 that I'll be rolling around in during the week. I've collected almost everything I need, but I'm now stuck on how to attatch my oil lines. The general consensus is that you "tap a line into the block" with absolutely no more said on the matter. Does anybody have any more information on what I'm actually looking to do here? What I gather from my reading is that one oil line should tee off from another oil line at the back of the engine, while one should get attached to the block at some point. The point I'm really stuck on is working out where to place my hole that I'll be tapping. I've acquired myself a free short motor, figured I'd just do it on that while it's out of the car and transfer it in, so I can take it entirely apart and get any debris out, that's a non-issue. Just intensely curious about hole location, and also water lines. Nobody ever mentions running water lines on a de+t. What's with that?! PS: instinctively people are going to want to say "JUsT bUy A sR20 tHeY r GrEaTz LuLz". Seriously, not interested. People will argue that 1500 on an sr20 is really cheap, but then totally forget to realise that I'll be having way more fun with my ca18 that cost me under $200 to turbo, because I will have spent the extra thousand dollars on jelly that catches fire when you rub it onto elephants tusks.

Stock Rb25 Looking For 400+ Whp Proof
That_timothy replied to Revspeed's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Seriously dude, stop being a dick. R31Nismoid is a ridiculously helpful and genuine guy. PM me in maybe two weeks or so and I'll hopefully have gotten my act together and sent my car in for tuning. By all accounts I should be making a pretty easy 400+rwhp on a stock 25 with very good response. Get your act together, or scroll up the page and log the f**k out. -
6 boost. Everybody will give you the same answer. I was in the same boat a while ago and went a high mount. Running a larger turbo you're going to have a big obvious "LOOK AT ME I AM ILLEGAL" section of your engine bay dude. That, and when I talked to Kyle he was really pushing for high mount manifolds over low because of heating 'n' the like.

Possibly a function of you starting a thread and inviting people to come on www.antilag.com?

Amemiya? Will keep a look out!

skyzthalimit, or something like that had one he wanted 600 for I think. I was going to buy it but then realised that havine 2 cars and four engines was a bit silly. PM me if you want me to dig out his username and phone number.

Hmmm, I hope this isn't too off topic, but I'm curious about something. I saw you mentioned in a post a while ago about changing out your lifters and valve springs to push your red line up to ~9000rpm. Where did you get work like this done? I'm quite keen to do this myself as I've swapped out my turbo recently to a 3076, and while lag for these isn't meant to be too bad, it is, at the end of the day a reasonably sized high mount turbo, and I fear that soon I will be lamenting my lack of reponse. How do you rate the change, would you do it again? Is it a good idea? I saw in the same post you mentioned that you thought most engines would become innefficient at that point, and I'm with you on that, but at which point would you say it becomes unfeasible to rev an rb engine? Apologies for the essay, but curiosity really has gotten the better of me. And plus I've remembered my password for the first time in weeks and been able to login on something other than my (currently dead) main pc. Cheers, Tim EDIT: Feel free to PM me on the subject to stop this getting even further off topic.

And those two graphs have absolutely nothing in common!

Zack does a few of my friends' cars, definitely worth a visit =] I'm taking mine to Allstar for stuff at the moment, can't reccommend them enough, but definitely not in your area.

Anyone Going To The Drags Next Wednesday? (29th Sept)
That_timothy replied to s13-steve's topic in Events
Hmmmm, how many people from here attend? I'll be down in a few weeks once uni gets less intense. -
Probably because they're MEGA SLOW. Also, dude, you have a tow bar right? Obvious what you'd do really: as he gets out to fight you, swing around in front of his car engage reverse mash happy pedal engage highest droppable gear drop clutch, create a smokescreen so he can't get your plates maybe throw a shuriken or something for good measure ninja escape through smoke cloud My skyline's kill/death ratio is so far infinite, but I always get thirsty and water bottles are my weapon of choice, so I've had a few less than amazing shots.

Motivedvd launch, or something similar I think on the 28th. Antilag bro.
