  1. There may a bit of confusion how this figure is shown on the contract guys. If it's "above the line" where the LCT and GST is added then then this is the LCT and GST ex amount. In SA it's $6900 but once the GST and LCT are added it comes to an even $10K. And even though stamp duty is shown above the line, it does not incut the extra taxes. So the contracts are designed for max consusion and to give the false impression that we're not paying LCT on the exhorbitant DD fee.
  2. Could someone please clarify if we have to have the trans fluid replaced if the car has been to a track and the trans has NOT seen 120 deg C in order to maintain warranty?? I'm still not clear on this.
  3. Well hopefully if the new reports from from the Ring about the "witnessed" laps are true then this argument can finally be put to rest.
  4. In SA it's $6986 but once you add on GST and LCT it comes to an even $10K.
  5. Hi all, I was wondering, given the ridiculously high dealer delivery fee that we all seem to be paying on the R35 is there a way of reducing it significantly? My thoughts are that if this fee could be broken down to a more typical DD fee and then as a separate line item Nissan was to charge us the balance as a "first three year inspections" fee on a separate invoice then a) We wouldn't be paying Luxury Car Tax on the balance and we would also be able to claim the whole of the balance up front in our tax because it's just a prepaid servicing or inspection fee. It just sticks in my throat to be paying LCT on what is essentially a service fee for services we haven't even had yet! Has anyone discussed this with their dealer?
