I was fishing around under my car's seats this morning, and discovered that there was some wiring that was unplugged under the passenger seat. The drivers side was plugged in, but I was just wondering what these are for? Anyone have the answer?

Ah well, a lesson learned...that's what you get for doing things in a rush! I am planning on changing the transfer case next, so I guess the 4 or so litres (which have now been emptied), will be flushed anyways.

Has anyone else filled their gearbox by removing the gearstick, and filling it up through the hole? I just did, and it seems the oil (160 bucks worth of Redline Shockproof) was pumped back out the bloody hole again, coating the underside and rear of the car, along with the road/driveway. Awesome.

I'll give the sender a clean asap, at least I'll hopefully know whether it's this part playing up. Might be a good idea to install an aftermarket pressure gauge for peace of mind. A blown engine due to oil pump failure would bring a tear to my eye... Thanks for your input guys

Hey thanks Mr elk, that calms the nerves a bit. I did a search but maybe I put the wrong key words in, because it helped me nowt. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a sign of the pump failing, because I'm aware of these being 'suspect' also...

Greetings all, I was wondering whether R32 GT-R oil pressure gauges commonly show different values? Mine will go from 4 kg/cm2 down to almost no indicated pressure and back again in one short space of driving. I don't seem to be able to hear any rattling from the top half of the engine while it's supposedly got no pressure (according to the gauge) I'm kind of hoping that it's not the oil pump on it's way out, and it's just the gauge on the blink! Has anyone else had this issue before?

Gday gday, has anyone had any luck finding some aftermarket rear tie rod ends for R32 GT-Rs? No luck so far... I'm sure the genuine ones are just as scary exxy as the fronts

Well my car has had it's ABS removed, so don't think it would be that, but I will check the fault codes and get back...

Already checked that, and she's all full. Btw, it only takes the steering to be turned to the right with no forward movement for the light to come on... Frustrating since I have to turn hard right to get out of my garage!

Guess it depends on your footwear - I usually rip the workboots off to drive home, 'cause space in the pedal area isn't quite sufficent! I do find my knees tend to hit the steering wheel when heel-toeing. Good idea to try to make one good 'box out of two, but can you be sure the innards of the second hand one are in good nick?

Hello hello, Has anyone else had their GT-R's 4WD fault light come on when turning a hard-ish right? Usually starts with the light off (4WD functional), but rights are a problem for some reason... Switching the ignition off and back on again fixes the fault (again, usually!). Pretty annoying...I'm sure it's a sensor of some sort playing up...
