  1. Hey thanks mate , that would be mucho appreciated! I have been doing research of my own but sometimes with these things it's like looking for a needle in a hay-stack...
  2. I have experience with fiddly electronics, and work as a sparky so I have some idea I like to tackle most things myself if possible!
  3. Hi eeiko. Well I have only had the car for a couple of weeks, so can't be sure how long it's been like this for. I was thinking that tricking the system might be the way to go - any idea how this is done mate?
  4. My car seems to have had the abs removed (no more abs unit with the metal brake lines coming out of it in the top right hand side of the engine bay), and is showing a 4WD fault light on the dash. After consulting the Nissan fault codes for the ATTESA ecu, it came back with: Fault 8 ABS actuator motor, motor relay, or circuit Fault 9 ABS actuator relay or circuit Fault 18 ETS pressure switch or circuit Apart from fault 18 with the pressure switch, could the other two faults that relate to the ABS (which has been removed) be causing the 4WD system to shut down? The front wheels dont seem to have any drive, and the torque split gauge shows this as well...
  5. Well, I'm now the proud owner of my long time dream car - R32 GT-R! So I guess I'll find out for myself what they are like :-)
  6. Ah Thanks Yld-Chld. Will I need a spring compressor for the back? This is the end in need first of all... Also, I'll probably be getting the springs/shocks together, so if I am swapping the whole show in one piece, is the compressor still required? Hmmm, better start scouring ebay for one just in case!
  7. Hi everyone, I was wondering what sort of an ordeal it would be to change the springs/shocks in my 32 GT-R, considering I have basic tools and would be doing it off a jack? Do I require special tools of any kind to get the job done? I really want to have a go at doing this myself if possible since finances are tight, but I gotta say I do enjoy learning as I go with these types of things! Any help from you guys would be much appreciated
  8. Hi there mate, I was wondering you would be keen to sell the front speaker covers? Pretty please!
  9. Hi there, I'm chasing front speaker covers if you have them??? Cheers mate
  10. As the title says, I'm chasing two R32 Skyline speaker covers - hopefully someone out there has a couple lying around...??? Help!
  11. Just looking to get some replacement springs/struts for my 32, and was wondering whether they had the same dimensions as R33 ones? Can anyone help, it would be much appreciated!
  12. I agree, the specials are better left mostly as they are, with mods you can reverse relatively easily. The car I was looking at had a few mods, but the body work needed some touching up, and had 4wd issues - not keen to go there I don't think. The Nismos only had slightly different bodywork, delete options like rear wiper and a/c, and possibly steel turbines(?) from the research I've done. I will be more than happy with a 'standard' version
  13. Well Mr Keets, you sure know your factoids! I like that. So nice to read info based on actual facts, and or experience, instead of just conjured up opinions which you often get on these types of forums. I was recently looking at a car which the owner said was a 'Nismo' from the factory. How can you tell these apart from the cooking models? My plan is for sensible mods that will enhance the car, rather than the sometimes overdone approach - I want to blend in as much as possible, even though it's gonna be hard to do in such a car...!
  14. Heart is winning over head, that's for sure! Head says get something more practical that I can throw the MTB in, like say, a Subie Legacy GT-B, but heart says "come on, you've wanted one of these for years!". It's definately going to be daily drive - but they WERE built to be driven...
  15. Was it a major hassle getting that fixed? Expensive to replace?
  16. Sounds terminal! Hopefully most people have experiences more like the last response! That's waaay better mileage than I would've expected, fairly excellent really. I have lusted after these cars for years, and now have the means to purchase
  17. The title pretty much says it all - just curious to hear your thoughts after owning one for a period?
  18. Hi all. Does anyone know what's involved in 'bleeding' the ATTESA all wheel drive system on an R32 GT-R? Ever heard of them cutting out after 20mins or so?
