Mik, you know that it was my car that your talking about, and that it was considered to be the best GTR for $30k in OZ. But when someone offers $25k for a genuine GTR they deserve to be ripped off for paying $34k for a GTS-4. The car was in magnificent condition and having a few extras enhances a car and doesnt mean it is not in showroom condition. Everyone that saw my car thought it was worth the money, but the big turn off was the 85k on the clock. Plus remember they could see my car on the net before they came. NO Im sorry but a mint condition R33 GTR is worth more than $25k

Im confused but isnt Hicas the rear wheel steering system that is only on GTR. I dont know much about the other models, Ive only had a GTR. But the point of the story is that some guy went to buy a GTR and due to lack of knowledge bought a GTS-4. Also the first question everyone asked me when the car was for sale, was how many k's? With every Tom Dick and Harry selling their car with a "genuine 50,000 k", mine with 85k on speedo looked expensive... Some, Guys have gotta wise up to the value of quality over what a fiddled speedo is worth.

I just went to Hi-Octane in Rydalmere (to pick up a new flywheel) and saw an "R33 GTR" similar to the one I recently sold (for $30k) but as I approached it, I noticed standard brakes not Brembo's, a very cheap interior and a number of gadgets missing. The story is that some guy bought this GTR which is really a GTS-4 with GTR body kit, for $34k. (its worth nowhere near that) he didn't pick that it had a single turbo, wrong brakes and interior, no Hi-CAS, no four wheel steer, the wrong chassis and engine numbers etc etc. He fell in love with the car because despite the interior being worn out with holes in the carpet and patches worn on the steering wheel leather,, IT had a "genuine 58,000 km" on the clock. Whilst I had my genuine GTR for sale heaps of guys rang me but weren't interested in looking at my $32k R33. They went on about it had 85 k and for $2k more they could get one with half the k. Remember it is not true that you get what you pay for. There are a lot of dishonest people around looking to grab your hard earned money. Perhaps a file showing the difference between models would help prospective buyers fom being swindled.

This Friday we head off to Shepparton for our third run in the Grand Prix Rally. The event starts on saturday morning and finishes Wednesday in ST Kilda. The cars are parked in the GP grounds From Thursday to sunday and my car (41) has my name on the rear windows and No plate is DAD 8 IT. SO if you see me say hello. (short fat bald bloke) We get to do a parade lap about lunchtime on Friday on the Formula 1 race track and Ill write a little report for those interested when I return. Unfortunately we leave on Saturday morning to come back home due to personal commitments, so we wont get to see the F1 race. Should be a few nice skylines down there as the GP Rally has been won by a skyline for the last two years. there is only 40% tread left on tyres which is why they are so cheap. Sorry wont send the tyres interstate as the cost is higher that the tyres are worth. Wheels would cost about $100 to send Melb or Bris by courier. As i am not making a profit on sale of wheels They are full price only $720 +actual courier or mail costs.

Guys, a tyre company sent me the wrong rims for the car and said to me that If I can find a buyer they let them go for 1/2 price and refund me the other half. unfortunately not possible. 13.3 is considered fast for a stock one 12.9 is possible with boost, exhaust and cold air. Speak to the guys that own them. There would not be more than 5 in OZ that can break into 11 secs and one of them has 280Kwatts at the wheels with a best of 11.4. A GTiR B (rally model) is only about 50kg lighter and has a front diff and close ratio box so should not be 1 sec faster.
