  1. can anyone tell me the name of this pipe? mine has a split in one side. though it may be there to make removing it easier...as the other side without a split...pretty much doesn't come off lol. anyone got opinions on that? anyways...there's a bit of leakage from it. not much but reckon i should replace it?
  2. wow. that sounds complicated o.O instruments and measurements and stuff... but nah, as i posted, it just stays on empty, without moving at all at any time. ty ty
  3. lawl.
  4. no. it's always on empty. i just watch the odometer lul. around 400k's and it's time to refuel.
  5. Umm...how easy is this to do? It seems like you can get access to it by following this guide: http://www.skyline-owners-club.com/forums/...l-pump-r33.html minus changing the fuel pump...
  6. Regardless, i love driving my 33.
  7. i did a forum search and went through 4 pages of results without finding anything... so my fuel gauge on my R33 is broken. it's funny...i had a r31 before this and it broke on that one too. maybe it's just me. it just sits on dead empty all the time. so i just fill it up every now and then, hoping i don't run out of fuel. Does anyone know what's involved in getting it fixed and who i can go to for it? I thought i would ask on the forum before asking shops to see if i could learn anything useful. learn from ur experiences perhaps. cheers.
  8. ahah! hypocrite!
  9. NO NISSAN?!??! WHAT? WHAT?~?! oh...that's ok i guess. GO THE EIGHT-SIX AWESOMENESS!
  10. Haha. that's no fun. Everyone else enjoys my plates. You guys are such downers
  11. hellooowww....
  12. hmm...i had tom yum soup at a chinese restaurant on sunday. was a bit hot. my tongue was a little burned.
  13. heh. i'm SotR, got mine fixed at Schultz. probably too far for you i had to get a new compressor. got it from KYP and Schultz put it in for me. i don't think they are the cheapest, but very good.
  14. ahah. i see. ty ty. i have an aftermarket boost gauge. so it's all good. ^_^
  15. On the cruise last night, Allen (aka 2LV8ETR) removed the restrictor from Scott's (aka reaper83) car for teh extra boost. I believe scott's is a rb26? is that dett? stock turbo? Afterwards he was saying how his stock pressure gauge was hitting max (+7mmHg). I believe +7 is equal to around 14.5 psi, right? I'm interested in getting more boost out of my car also...but on the rb25det, stock turbo blows up if you push it much more than 12psi, right? what would removing the restrictor in my car do? is it safe? also...i've ordered a turbotech manual boost controller which i'll be installing once it arrives. also want to know if i'll gain by having the boost controller and the restrictor out. ty, ty.
  16. i don't know =_= like...just about every skyline i see has the same gauges on their pillar.
  17. so which gauge are you saying to rely on? the one built in with ur tachometer that goes from +7 to -7 (+7 being just under 15psi), or the one attached to ur pillar?
  18. it was for fuel economy, yes. it's sounding like the best thing to do would be to buy the turbotech. then just drive with low revs for economy, put my foot down when i wanna go fast. however, some people say manual boost controllers are too dangerous for skylines. the turbo blows up too easily. apparently turbo tech is good for this because it's spring and ball and prevents spikes and creep. but i'd like to know ur thoughts.
  19. can you adjust ur wastegate pressure directly? i thought the whole point of a boost controller, especially the manual ones, is because changing the pressure on ur wastegate isn't possible.
  20. i never had a point to begin with awwww yeeehhhh yeh...you should definitely get customs.
  21. Just got my letter for renewing my vehicle license. and it reads: VEHICLE PLATE NUMBER LULZORZ It makes me smile. hehehe. And when the cop wrote out my speeding fine a while back...and there it is...LULZORZ. that made me smile too. hohoho.
  22. i could afford it...but then that's less cash to spend elsewhere. all i want is to get the most out of my stock turbo. mmm...
  23. lol. i called xspeed and asked, and they are like...for an r33, don't use a manual one. you'll blow it up. spikes n stuff, get an electronic one. new HKS for $650, with install and dyno tune $800 all up. heh... =_= the turbo tech doesn't spike you say? if enough people tell me xspeed is talkin crap, i'll go for the turbo tech. of course i realise you need to be careful while setting ur boost on a manual. start at zero, and do quarter turns at a time, etc.
  24. oh? how much do xspeed sell them for? lul...i love how my plates interest people yeh...i've been cycling to work this week to save money though. (pity i've been cruising every night with friends XD ...eek. huge petrol bill.) My car won't be seen at murdoch so often now ^_^
