  1. Pretty sure I used 16mm hose. It's around that anyway, 15.8mm or something.
  2. The IHI VN-14??
  3. Yeh it's all well and good when it's not you spending the money lol.
  4. Most of them will still own you lol.
  5. Yeh I know what it can do, I was gonna get it my car. Dismissed it as unnecessary and therefore expensive.
  6. I believe you are mistaken: "You are not obliged to carry a spare and it does not have to comply with the legal requirements while it is stowed away. However, when fitted to the vehicle (for example, following a puncture) it must then comply with the law." Rowan, I agree with you man. I'm simply being realistic.
  7. How are either of those ECU's 'half-assed'?
  8. Doesn't mean the cops are being dicks. Means you got off easy. I've passed the pits with things that are clearly illegal. It depends who you get on the day. Just because the inspector passes you doesn't mean your car is legal.
  9. Yep. Someone I know got done for a 'dusty indicator globe'.
  10. When did he say he has a Neo engine????
  11. Well that depends on your expectations. My ECU is still one of my favourite mods that I've done to my car, simply because of the difference it made to driveablity and my fuel economy. It may not give you another 100rwhp, but it gives you a bit more (especially if you're increasing the boost a bit) and it makes what you already have feel a lot better to drive.
  12. That's OEM though. So it's fine.
  13. Is that including the ViPEC and the fuel pump? If so, that's not a bad price. You might be able to go a bit cheaper if you sourced the parts from elsewhere. Or you could try to find a secondhand Power FC from somewhere, but I've always preferred to use whatever ECU my tuner recommends. You will notice a difference though, it's definitely worth it.
  14. Good stuff, I'm awaiting results impatiently
  15. Excellent Will you be installing yourself or getting it installed? I'm most likely going to install it myself, so wouldn't mind some feedback from that point of view either
  16. Yeh not true. My mate got in a lot of trouble for recording a conversation with a police officer. What's more, when he took them to court, his recorded evidence was dismissed as it was 'not acquired lawfully'.
  17. Yeh, I imagine it will be going up and down a bit over the next few weeks. I'll keep my eye on it.
  18. Did you get the one off eBay? Let us know how you go, I'm thinking about getting the same kit...
  19. Clearly I have, I believe I expressed that in the first 8 words of my post, did I not?
  20. I don't see what you are whinging about. You have an ECU that is on the approved list, why are you now assuming it is not goin to work before you even try it? My mate had a Power FC that shat itself. Does that now mean all Power FC's are shit and not going to work? At least with NIStune, Matt will try to help you. If you've followed the guidelines That jrm posted then give the ECU a go before bagging it out. If you haven't, don't blame the company for it. If you're not prepared for expensive set back, don't modify cars. Of course the more you modify the more likely things are to stuff up. I agree with Bubba, this is not an issue that should even be discussed in this thread.
  21. Probably the smarter option. I should have built a track car instead of trying to make this one both lol. I say rock a Silvia or an R32, they always look mint in pig spec
