Have a look on eBay, there is at least one bloke on there who does them. I wanted to get them for my 34 so he tried making some up but they failed miserably because of the shape. R33 gauges are flat so they are dead easy.
-
You're just comparing the engines. You forget they happened to put them into an outright oil-tanker of a car. As previously mentioned, the R8 is not a bad area to set the bar at. The VX runs what, 13-flat? Easily achievable in a mildly modified Skyline.

Yeh when you set a boost controller to 50psi, that's different than just letting the wastegate free-boost. And timing? Boost does not = air volume.
-
Thanks mate, I'll keep that in mind. Honestly though, I've seen enough results on here and your support has been such to convince me that the problem is not with your product. I will try taking it to another tuner first and see how it goes. My target is a responsive 360ish rwhp, so if this turbo is indeed capable then I would rather sort it out and get it working properly.
-
How do you tune for infinite boost? On a stock turbo maybe. But on a steel wheeled turbo, all overboosting is going to do is super-heat the intake air and cause detonation.

Yeh it's something I've been considering. Andy hasn't had his dyno for awhile, so it has only been on Ovaboosts dyno since I had the turbo, injectors and AFM done. Now I'm not sure if he didn't strap it down or if he doesn't know what it's doing because apparently the Ovaboost dyno doesn't log boost and he was getting three different boost readings from different gauges. I've been meaning to get it onto Allstars dyno, but the car has taken a lower priority while I'm moving house and things. So havent got around to it. I have been waiting to hear if Andy has his dyno running yet but nobody has mentioned. He has tried four times to get more power out of it but nothing makes a difference. You would think he would try strapping it down if he wasn't already. In any case, he believes the problem is the turbo and has advised me to ditch it. If it wasn't for the consitently good results I see on here, I probably would have by now. What turbo did you have, the G2? Even 320rwhp would be disappointing. It's a bigger turbo than say a Greddy TD-05, surely it should make more power?

Yeh but for people not on the forum, hypergear is still an unheard of brand. I've shown him the dyno graphs from here but he doesn't trust any results from over east lol. Skeptical bugger
-
And let me know how it goes because Andy was very skeptical of my turbo and still thinks it is the turbo holding me back

I knew it was school holidays lol. Seriously though, what fun do you get out of racing on the street? For all you know, the guy you just 'dragged off' was messing with you and only giving it quarter throttle. There are only increased e-penis gains to be had by street racing. As others have said, take it to the track. Drag strip is great fun and a good way to benchmark your car against others. Circuit is also good fun, trying to beat your times is bloody addictive! In any case, if you actually get out there and do some of those events, you'll find street racing gets boring very quickly.

Couldve just said sand-blasted, bubba So you went with the bare metal look? Was thinking of doing that but decided the blue looked better with my bronze wheels -
How long does this stuff usually take to arrive? I bought some about 3 weeks ago and still no sign of it

*insert lame paparazzi joke here* Excuse me one second while I google media blasting... -
There is no NIStune board for the R33 ecu, you have to use an R32 or Z32 ecu.

Sharp increase in power will generally result in wheel spin, hence why smoother curves are generally the preference.

Does to me. I didn't like the embossed logo, I prefer the cleaner look. Much like shaving badges, etc.
