  1. Ok, so I finally got round to setting the ECA up in PC Link, but I'm a bit confused. The way I have it connected, is the sensor output wire runs to the ECA kit, and I then spliced into that wire and pinned it into the DI5 position in the XS Loom. Then in PCLink I have selected the Siemens Ethanol Sensor option from the list, as that is the one the guys at Link say to use. However, I can't get the ECU to read the same as the Zeitronix display. For example, the Zeitronix display shows the fuel temperature at a steady 11° Celsius and ethanol content at 1% (should be 0 but that's what the display shows). With the internal pull up turned OFF, the ecu reads fuel temp as 132° Celsius, so that obviously needs to be on. With the pull up resistor ON and the active edge set to 'RISING', the fuel temp reads 20°. With active edge set to 'FALLING' the fuel temp flickers between 16 and 17 degrees. But I can't get it to read the same as the display no matter what setting I use. Also the ethanol content in the ecu displays 0% no matter what. Any tips?
  2. Mat sent me photos once when he was getting the system setup, so unless it's changed then I believe he is using Speedflow 90° bulkhead fittings in place of the stock ones. Like so: Correct Mat?
  3. Hey all, Chasing both the driver and passenger side door pockets from an R34 coupe, any selling? Just to clarify, I'm talking about these: If anyone has, please PM me as I'm bound to forget to check this thread. Thanks a lot, Martin.

  5. Or eucalyptus oil does the trick as well. Sucks about the side skirts bud, this is why we can't have nice things
  6. Ah I see, looks the goods! Robbie, sorry if you've mentioned, but what brand of fittings are you using? Proflow?
  7. They always are Do wish some of you guys were over here on the West coast, so many top builds happening over East that I'd love to check out in person
  8. Looks like they would work! How do they go with seat height though? Two sets of rails, I imagine it might position them a little bit high?
  9. Ah I see, good stuff!
  10. What ECU are you planning on using now that you've sold the ViPEC?
  11. Eh, I had to do the same to fit my Sparco seats to my Recaro rails. Not a big deal, just drilled and tapped two new holes. Easy
  12. I'm using an AEM UEGO as well. Thing is, I'm not totally confident it is 100% accurate. I have a feeling it might read a bit rich, otherwise my tune is extremely rich. Frequently seeing ~12.5 on cruise. But I need to ask my tuner to check how accurate it is next time it goes on the dyno. That said, I'm otherwise happy with the AEM. I've just finished wiring it into my G4 expansion harness which was very straight forward. The Zeitronix kit looks the goods as well though!
  13. Make sure that glue is oil resistant, you don't want blow-by breaking down the glue and having it fly into your motor Personally I'd fork out for the correct stuff, $80 is cheaper than causing other problems...
  14. This is just fantastic... Who did the ducting for the oil cooler?
  15. If they come with rails, they will probably be those shitty universal rails that never fit any car ever.
  16. Yehhh, mine stopped working. Wouldn't keep the engine running, but kept the electrics on for 30 seconds. Means my oil pressure gauge would scream at me when I shut the engine down at the pressure dropped below 20psi So far no sign of my old starting issues either, so I'm hoping they were related to the turbo timer. ANYWAY, got round to doing the throttle sealant yet?
  17. Well it only took me a week to do but Yeh, it's very tidy and works much better than it used too. Hopefully yours does too! Good job on pulling out the turbo timer too, I'm glad to be rid of mine. Should have listened to everyone that told me when I put it in, but I was all excited about having a turbo car
  18. No problem mate, I remember how frustrating a job it was the first time I did it. It does get easier! I can have the whole hot side off in about an hour these days haha. Was the metal tab on properly? They are prone to undoing themselves over time, so they may have been done up but just loosened up a bit.
  19. Haha that wiring looks somewhat like mine used to. Feel sooo much better knowing it's all clean under there now!
  20. It's easy enough to do with the right tools. But the bottom nuts are much easier to do from underneath. As for removing the lines, yes you will have to bleed the coolant but you shouldn't need to do an oil change. But should be easy enough to change the gasket without removing the lines.
  21. Loads of threads on this mate, do a bit of a search in the cosmetics and styling section. That said, this is mine: Its very easy to do, just need to make a bracket to hold the gauges in place and have a bit of electrical knowledge.
  22. Was there a reason for not putting the breather hoses on for start-up? Sounds awesome mate. I'm sure the camera doesn't do it any justice.
  23. Dammit Charles; for the good of the people, bolt on the universal one and show us if it is any good!
  24. Going to rebuild those calipers while they are apart?
