  1. Hmmm looking more and more like we are gonna have to take it to a workshop who can diagnose with CONSULT
  2. So unplugging the o2 sensor did nothing?
  3. I think i might have a similar problem with my mates car, is it like this: This is the first video. In this video i had just started the car, so this video shows what the car does when it is cold: Now this is the second video. This was about after 1 minute of driving, notice the revs at the very start of the video... Then i accelerate a bit and you can clearly see that the car drives fine all the way to redline: This third video is after about 3 minutes of driving. When it goes to about 3.5k rpm is when i changed into 3rd gear to show you that the car drives fine when decelerating. Then i turn a corner and accelerate to 4k rpm, car still drives fine then. After about 0.37 seconds into the video is when you need to turn the volume up a bit to hear the engine. Notice how it lurches? That is the car, not me: This is the 4th video, after about 5 minutes of driving, i had got back to my house and was sitting in the driveway. This is how it idles after just a quick 5 minute drive: So just to summarize, car idles fine when first started (was a little bit rough initially, but after about 5 seconds it came right and sat at 1.5k rpm which is when i started filming). But then while driving the car lurches if you have the throttle slightly open to cruise. Decelerating is fine, doesn't lurch at all. Acceleration is fine, doesn't lurch at all. But if you sit on the throttle a little bit just to maintain your speed, then the car lurches like in the 3rd video. Same sort of problem? If so, anyone able to help us, I'm so stumped by this problem. Same boat, have replaced the AAC valve, cleaned AFM, tried unplugging AFM but it runs much worse, have checked for vacuum leaks but found nothing... Car is a completely stock R32 GTST except for 3" turbo back exhaust, pod filter, and alloy radiator.
  4. Lol yes i've experienced the grunt from Ben hahaha I don't see why car would need a tune, everything is stock. Nothing has been changed that would be cause for a tune, unless a sensor is busted and now the ECU doesn't know what to do. Taking it to a workshop is really a last resort for us, would rather fix it ourselves; not least because you can hardly drive it for 2 minutes before it becomes an absolute pig to drive... We are in the hills, so most high performance workshops are a good 40 minute drive
  5. You mean the BMW that was rattling itself to death? Really don't understand why you wouldn't get some good quality sound deadening material if you have a sound system like that. Was half expecting the door to fall off at any second
  6. I do agree. But ignorance annoys the shit out of me. And that reporter (all reporters) had it in bucket loads Snozzle that's pretty much how it is lol, clearly everyone that drives a high powered car is a terrorist and a threat to national safety and security
  7. I especially like the bit where she says "Drivers are warned not to go on the freeway, to avoid police". Lol wtf, you can clearly see in that map that it just says "Follow Sutherland Street left till Trode Street (Do not go on Freeway)". It never says anything about police, how can that f**king reporter claim that it is to avoid police? My first assumption would be so that you don't get lost lol. Absolute mole. It also pissed me off when she said "I have been told that they meet here every weekend to compare cars and do burnouts". Yeh well i've been told that the length of 1km is greater than that of 1 mile, that doesn't make it f**king true. How about you do some research before you make a claim like that!?
  8. Yeh for sure, that's not what i was getting at. I just meant that even at 30kms an hour, you're quite lucky to not have damaged your rims. At 100kms an hour you would be very lucky to not have crashed and totalled the car completely. Any idea what caused them to pop?
  9. Too high pressure i take it? Or what was the cause? Wouldn't expect both tyres to pop unless they had both been over-inflated... Good thing you didn't damage your wheels, 30kms/h certainly isn't slow.
  10. http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/video/perth/#fop So annoying. Oh well, it's a pain in the ass but I'm pretty sure everyone here was aware of the bad rap high performance cars get from the media and the police before you bought your car, it's not like it's anything new. Don't drive like an idiot and you won't draw attention to yourself, simple as that.
  11. Hahah nah as we overtook you i looked at the front of the car, unmistakeably a Ceffy lol.
  12. Yeh mine are exactly the same... Is the mounting block vital?
  13. Where do we get the reading from the TPS?
  14. Great cruise Rowan man, love the Ceffy! Didn't recognize it as a Ceffy driving behind lol because of the kit, but it is so nice! And Troy... my god. Could not stop looking at your 34 lol. So nice! Unfortunately didn't know who you were so couldn't follow up my request for a ride Haha, was good to see everyone though, have missed my WCC buddies Thanks for organizing Marianne, i had great fun. Can't wait to get my car back and get out cruising with everyone again
  15. Stock ecu man, everything stock except for pod filter, exhaust and alloy radiator. And I'm pretty sure the gauge is just broken, been like that since he got it. Sits at 0 most of the time, moves occasionally. The last video is a bit weird, it goes up and down with the revs...
  16. Haha yesssss
  17. Ok, just went for a quick 5 minute drive to take some videos so i could show you guys what it is doing. I apologize for the filming, i was using my phone to film and trying to work indicators and turn the steering wheel as well, so some of it is a bit all over the place... Also please keep in mind that this is what the car is doing, i am not tapping the accelerator or anything to make it do anything, i'm driving normally. If you turn the volume up a bit then you can hear what the engine is doing (important). This is the first video. After about 0.37 seconds into the video is when you need to turn the volume up a bit to hear the engine. Notice how it lurches? But if you sit on the throttle a little bit just to maintain your speed, then the car lurches like in the 3rd video. Please help? lol
  18. +1 lol Take me for a ride Please
  19. Ok just had another crack at this but no luck. It is idling lower now, below 1000rpm. And it doesn't hunt at idle anymore depending on which hoses we block off. But no matter what we do, if you give it any throttle, the engine sort of surges. Like the revs will go up and then suddenly drop down to idle level then suddenly go up, and it just does that repeatedly. It's very much like hunting but while under load.
  20. What do you mean it sounds like it is breaking down?
  21. Hey buddy, what sort of condition is the exhaust in, got any pictures?
  22. Nah mate, came from UK. I believe it is just the hoses, but i don't really know what the mounting blocks are that you are talking about... Basically the only thing in the kit are the hoses and some washers, the ADR sleeves are attached, and the two longer hoses have a black plastic sort of thing on them that can slide up and down the hose, don't know what it is for... Are those the mounting blocks lol?
  23. Mate either they are spinning you complete and utter rubbish, or your kits should be arriving soon. I had been waiting for this group buy to arrive, as I was waiting to hear the outcome on which kit i needed for my GT (if you remember, I'm the guy that asked whether i needed R33 brake lines to suit my calipers, or R34 brake lines because my car is an R34). But i got a bit impatient and decided to just order a kit for an R33, and if they don't fit then i could just sell them and get the other kit. So i placed my order on the 28th of May. I have just received the kit today, with the ADR sleeves attached. So I'm not sure what their deal is, but they clearly have the ADR sleeves ready to go.
  24. Yeh i knew that as well lol... I'm not really sure why i assumed it controlled everything...
  25. Oh I assumed it controlled everything... Well... Ignore my post then
