  1. That looks like it would handle excellently ^
  2. Ok let me rephrase that, psi is not the only thing to consider when making power. They may still be making power by 15psi, but run a stock turbo at 40psi and see how much more power you are creating. They simply don't flow enough. Flow is starting to run out by 14psi, and you won't see as much of a power increase anymore, which is why it is not worth the risk of blowing your turbo. The increase of power from 7psi to 10psi is greater than the increase of power from 14psi to 17psi. If psi is what produced power, then even a stock turbo run at 40psi should be making insane power, even if it blows up in the process. Don't get me wrong, psi does obviously have something to do with power output, i'm just saying that it isn't the only thing to take into account. A car run at 15psi will not necessarily beat a car running 10psi.
  3. Get one with the flex piece like this: http://www.peakrpm.com/catalog/images/img_...1212%5B1%5D.jpg Then you could manipulate it more to sit higher?
  4. Is that a serious comment lol? Because if so, i suggest you read this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Cl...on-t321471.html Contrary to popular belief, psi does not equal power... Volume equals power
  5. Yeh i personally don't believe it. I take these tests with as much seriousness as tests of flow on catalytic converters. It is very easy to over clock the flow rate and then quote the filter rate at the bench flow rate. Everybody looks at the flow rate and goes oh wow it MUST be good, but then don't stop to think that the quoted filterage could be taken at a lower flow rate. I used to have a 3A filter on my car. Replaced it with an Apexi and i could definitely feel the improved response, plus i have to clean the Apexi filter more often than i did the 3A, which tells me it is picking up more of the dirt rather than letting it through.
  6. My understanding of the Mines ECU is that it was basically a replacement of the factory ECU with one that suits basic mods for whatever car you have, and it can't really be tuned? Which is why so many people are against them, because they aren't really made for your car, so they often cause problems because your car will be a little bit different to the one that Mines designed it for. Correct me if i'm wrong anyone, that is just what i have picked up after reading about it on here.
  7. Haha good stuff Tim, i actually understood that! Lol. So by all respects, because a turbo is smaller it requires less volume of air to create say 15psi of pressure? Whereas a larger turbo will pass a higher volume of air, but not create the same pressure
  8. Do you mean intake plenum? Cos RB20's and 25's have the same exhaust manifold... I would personally be looking to convert it to a 25. I never like spending money on my car unless it is improving it or keeping it healthy (service), so when something breaks or gets worn, i find something to upgrade it with and make the car that little bit better
  9. What? did you actually get the fine or did you just get flashed? If you just got flashed then don't worry about it, they would have just been calibrating the camera. If you actually got the fine... complain!
  10. I imagine he doesn't hit boost very often...
  11. There are a couple of guys on here that do it i think, but how confident are you at live-tuning your own car? Because you could send it over here for the initial tune, but if something happens then you will need to send it over again and i imagine it would make it very hard to sort out because the tuner wouldn't actually have your car. So if you can live-tune it yourself then that might save some hassles. But i think Status Tuning do it, you could look them up. Or have a look in the national for sale section, i remember seeing something in there about it
  12. Yes they can Unfortunately it will take a few months
  13. Lol why don't you just PM him?
  14. Cooler and an exhaust shouldn't affect the AFR's too much, the stock ECU can adjust to them
  15. Get the O2 sensor checked, most common cause of running rich. Oil shouldn't be black, so definitely change that. I would personally change it anyway as you don't know what the previous owner had been using. When you returned the bov to stock, did you plumb it back properly or is it venting to atmosphere? If it is venting to the atmosphere then that could also be the cause of the car running rich
  16. GTR's would chew the V8's through the corners though
  17. Lol you gotta give it to em though, they know people will pay for absolute shit if they make it sound awesome. "DUAL SUPERCHARGER TURBO FUEL SAVER FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Come on... Supercharger, turbo and fuel saver all for 17 bucks!? That's gotta be awesome and work exactly how they say it does! Group buy on the intake restriction?
  18. Glad you got it sorted mate, but i thought you bypassed the immobilizer?
  19. Lies, i applied there when i was desperate for a job and got knocked back because "i'm too old"
  20. Fuckin idiot. If you drive like that you deserve to be at the mercy of the victim's family.
  21. Those are Apexi pods yeh? Mine came with adapters to suit the different AFM's, so you should just be able to get an adapter to make the pod fit the AFM
  22. Yeh it definitely looks very nice. As i said, the only thing i was disappointed with is when you walk on it it sounds like you are walking on a tent
  23. I dunno if Danny's email works, he never replies to them... I just call him.
