  1. That wouldve been weird Seriously though, thats a f**ked up story man. There are some dickheads in this world, some major f**k-ups. Guaranteed he won't learn his lesson from this
  2. Too true ^ Its been said numerous times in this thread already, the key to saving lives doesn't lie in harsher punishment, but in better training. Germany has the Autobahn, where the only deaths and injuries are caused by tourists who don't know the rules. The training over there is really strict, where as here it simply appears strict. They grow up with the right attitude from the start instead of needing to lose their license a couple of times before they realize they are doing something wrong.
  3. Definitely agreed about the school zones, people speeding through there is ridiculous. Not only do most people not go the 40kms, they go faster than what the speed limit is outside school zone hours. I also agree with doubling demerits and fines, but i think that should be done over a certain amount, namely 9+kms over. I understand they have to draw the line on how far over you can go somewhere, but i think a $150 fine for 5kms over is stupid. There should be a warning system in place, where say if you get caught going 5kms over, you get 2-3 warnings before you are fined. Going 5kms over the speed limit is an everyday occurrence, and i bet if double demerits came into place permanently for that, then i bet all you guys saying you have kept your license for however many years would suddenly start to see the demerits piling up. I just finished my probationary period on my license yesterday, having received one speeding fine for 4kms over the limit. Not happy about paying $75 for that
  4. Thats stupid, it happens to everyone where you don't look at your speedo for awhile and the next time you look you are going 5kms over, im sure as hell not paying $150 for 5kms over the limit
  5. Really? Well, his old GTR then
  6. +1 ^ lol. Good buy mate, XR8's are win
  7. Lol i said to be the devils advocate, im not a fan of those cars at all
  8. Lol yeh i know its not going to be efficient, i just wanted to know how much he gets to a tank driving like he usually does. Just to be the devils advocate, i know of a certain eco car that does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. The Shelby Ultimate Aero EV has 1000hp, 800lb-ft of torque, and gets 400-500kms out of a charge. Absolutely no petrol involved
  9. Hey just as a matter of interest, whats this thing like on petrol?
  10. +1 lol. Also +1 for HKS Type R, or GREX
  11. Well done man, that thing is beasty! What plans have you got for it in the future?
  12. I posted pretty pictures The cruising season. Duhhh Just means im waiting for some to get organised haha Thats why there is the consolidated workshop thread, people have experience with these guys. There are actually mechanics out there that aren't just trying to make a quick buck. Some of them are interested in the car scene and a honest about their business. Its just about finding one you can trust. I do agree 100% though, i would much rather do my own work to my car if i feel i am capable, but if he isn't confident of doing a good job then he would do better to take it to someone who knows what they are doing
  13. No way man, you go to the right place and you won't have to worry about that. Check out the consolidated workshop thread, all the shops in that thread are highly recommended and very professional. Autoworx is my recommendation, Alistar is a top bloke
  14. Probably the same reason they made those hektik sik turbo fans that you stick in your intake pipe and totally give you AWSUM POWA while improving fuel consumption. Or maybe they are from the same makers as those fake turbo whistlers, they are pretty useful when trying to prove to everyone how big your manhood is... Lol, believe it or not, most stuff is made to make money. Lucky for them, there is always someone out there that believes what they are buying either works, or is the coolest invention on the planet. Nuff said. You should check out the events section for cruises, although there isn't much going on right now Still waiting for the season to kick off again
  15. It really doesn't matter how much power you are making. The point of a BOV is to compliment the turbo, they release the pressure so that the air doesn't get forced back through the turbo, slowing the rotational velocity of the compressor wheel which means the turbo will take longer to spool up (and also potentially causing damage to the turbo). A BOV is just a valve, with the only purpose being to release charged air. There is no performance gain from an aftermarket BOV compared to the factory one. The only reason to change the BOV would be if you were running very high boost and the valve wasn't letting all of the charged air escape
  16. Yeh and i dunno about you guys, but i would much rather pay $5 at a toll gate every time i go on the freeway than get targeted by cops for their revenue raising
  17. That suuucks, such an awesome car!
  18. I assume the stock BoV is just a basic plumb back system? Never seen a stock BoV in a Skyline, don't own a turbo But if the stock BoV has been replaced with an atmo one, wouldn't you need to get another crossover pipe and all that?
  19. Yeh the purple 34
  20. Lol you should see what its like there. The World Cup is gonna be an absolute fail. There were over 1000 murders, rapes and armed robberies between the 25th of Dec and 1st of Jan. What you think is gonna happen in the month of the World Cup with so many tourists and all the cops at the stadium and no one to stop any other crime
  21. Lol probably shouldn't speed at all, ive heard its illegal all the time. As if the government cares about road safety, if they did then they would take a leaf out of Englands book, they are the only country i have ever been that actually has it right and saves lives. Then again, we could be worse. I just got back from South Africa and it is absolutely terrible there. Over 1050 deaths on the road between Dec 1 and Dec 25 alone. That ridiculous! There roads are shit, they have no traffic control, and everybody either drives these complete wrecks that aren't even worth the money it would cost to crush them, or they drive incredibly expensive fast cars and end up killing them selves. So we aren't that bad in comparison
  22. Yeh i saw you guys leaving, gave you the thumbs up but you didnt back lol. f**king sick day, so many skids Steve Jones once again does an awesome skid in his GTR lol
  23. Yours is atmo, see how it just sticks out of your intake pipe? Means it can't be venting back to the system, only place the pressure can go is into the atmosphere. Plumb back will have a crossover pipe that comes out of the intake pipe, BOV attaches somewhere on this pipe, and then will have another pipe on the other side that joins onto the intake pipe before the AFM again. This way the pressure goes into the BOV and then gets vented back into the system before the AFM. You can also get hybrid BOVs that have a primary port back into the intake valve, and then a secondary valve that vents to the atmosphere when under load. Example of a plumb back BOV: Example of a hybrid BOV: Lol Curtis i would recommend TurboSmart, they make good stuff, but i don't see why you would use anything except the stock BOV. Just try to find someone selling their stock one. If you can get a stock GTR BOV then get a custom pipe made up and that = win!
  24. Lol deal with it Jase So nobody else wants to cruise down? Is anybody even going lol?
