  1. Count me in, changed my flight to South Africa to the 20th so im here for this! Always wanted to put my car on the dyno Have money ready to go, so i can pay whenever
  2. Could be a good chance to buy an aftermarket front bar, get kitted up? Seriously though, that sucks, i hate people that do that. Fair enough it might happen some time (if you are fail at driving), but at least leave your details You could try and fix your front bar, doesn't sound too hard. The clips you can get from Repco, and i just used a fiberglass repair kit on mine to fix up the holes. Painting is easy as, i repaired and repainted my front bar and rear bar, looks better than new Could you not just bend the metal back around so that it lines up with the hole again? Doesn't have to be perfect, just so it works. Don't know where you could source one of those brackets from...
  3. He drove 500,000km in 14 years? Thats almost 36000km per year! I struggle to do 10000km per year lol. Very much agree with you though, Nissan build incredible cars, i wouldn't own any other make. My sister has owned two Pulsars, first one was a 1990 hatch which was very good, only problem it had was with the immobilizer but i just wired in a bypass and all she had to do was remember to disconnect it after every drive. Now she owns a 1999 Pulsar, no problems at all, its a great car. Same goes for old Datsuns as well, me and my mates own a 120Y coupe, we thrashed the absolute shit out of it so that we could try to fix it. Changing gears without the clutch, redlining and valve bouncing everytime. Even wedged it up against a tree with the accelerator held down, it did a skid for 6 minutes before we got bored and stopped it lol. Finally managed to break it by taking the radiator cap off and driving it hard, didn't like that. Fixing it was a lot of fun Ok if a GTT or GTST is a better daily then a GTR... that makes my GT a better daily than a GTST and GTT right Win
  4. Well Autoworx is a SAUWA sponsor... Haven't dealt with either of them in terms of car purchases, but i purchased some parts from Autoworx and they were really good, really professional. Im +1 for Autoworx, but i think you should check both of them out, decide which one you feel more comfortable with or which one has a car that you really like. Good luck bud
  5. Ok Karl, you got me there, it is a nice looking car. Better as a ute than a sedan too. And i like the bonnet
  6. No way, new Maloo is disgusting! Does put out decent power though. Monaro's also go hard, but too much of a two door commodore for me. Thunder's go hard without that "im a rich bogan" look that comes with Maloo's
  7. +1, Buy my scooter James!
  8. VT Clubsports are gayyyy! Only Holden worth getting is a VZ Thunder, and i think it is a little out of your price range lol
  9. Doin a lot of quoting of the yanks, which for me is reducing the credibility of your claims. I have heard nothing but bad things about GTO's, and all of it first hand. Female friend of mine bought one for her second car, gearbox went in the first 6 months and she wasn't even pushing it. Her next door neighbour (who happens to be my mechanic) bought it off her thinking he could fix it. He rebuilt the gearbox and got it going again, next thing the clutch blew. Fair enough, replaced and upgraded the clutch, all good. 2 months later one of the turbo's blew and sent bits into the engine. The car was stock as a rock too. Car is still sitting in my mechanics workshop but he said he has no plans of fixing it any time soon. James i agree the 540i is a good looking car, i like BMW's, but at this age? They are such a retirement car lol. I just think they look way too 'old man'. Those photo's were hardly a fair comparison: Get rid of the spoiler and those rims and that is a nice car. I wasn't saying get an S15 though. I was just asking how you thought they were hairdresser cars and BMW's are not
  10. Lol how is a S15 a hairdressers car but a BMW is not? My mate had a 300ZX TT and it wasn't that quick... Plus they are a poor mans Ferrari in terms of looks. Alfa Romeos are just the most hideous cars i have ever seen, excluding maybe Chrystlers. The LS is really the only cool car there, apart from the 300 but as i said they are nothing special.
  11. Yeh definitely a nut case... But having used my vote on that one, i say go the Soarer, youre too young for a BMW and the others are all gay
  12. Yeh i would spend the extra $$$ and get it checked out by a mechanic that has experience with Skylines, just to make sure it is all good. My car had a whole bunch of problems when i bought it which could have been identified by a mechanic but i was too excited at the prospect of owning a Skyline
  13. Lol James i think that may also be due to the 4WD Although that is just another benefit of a GTR. I also say go the GTR, you simply can't compare a non-GTR to a GTR, unless of course the comparison is how it is not a GTR... Lol but seriously, go the GTR. I have driven a couple, and they are beautiful, amazing cars. If you didn't get the GTR you would probably kick yourself for it later, especially when you see one on the streets, so much presence.
  14. Yeh it will be the same, but i thought we already decided my battery has plenty enough CCA?
  15. There's your difference. It may not be any different, fact remains it is a 34 motor not a 32 motor which is what i was referring to. My comment was in fact in jest
  16. Mmm but thats a turbo model... Different electrics. And it doesn't really look bigger than mine, looks about the same. Plus its a Bosche so you know its aftermarket
  17. Says the man with the R34 V-Spec II engine in his 32 This thread is awesome, will read again lol
  18. Lol i think all the GTR's are good looking cars, even the 33's look quite good. Still prefer the 32 though, 33s are too round and boat like. And let us not forget that the 34 GTR is one of the greatest cars ever made, king of the Skylines Lol this thread was always going to end up like this huh
  19. Pfft, they clearly know what they are talking about
  20. Probably true, but don't forget the cars heritage
  21. Yeh dainsdabomb is good too, seen some of his stuff on some other Skylines, but he isn't mobile, you have to take your car to him. He quoted Yaah31 $250 as well, same as the the other guy except the other guy came to Matt
  22. Win Thanks man, ill check it out
  23. Where do i get those lugs from bro? Also, is there any way i can like extend the bit of the connection where you attach things like amp power cables and things? Ive got so many things on there that the nuts hardly go back on, its dodge
  24. PM user Yaah31 if you are NOR, he lives in Mount Helena, just got his done like 3 weeks ago, but i forget who by. The guy did a really good job and only charged $250 to do his car which is a 4 door, so will be cheaper seeing you have a coupe. Yaah31's car looks awesome now though!
  25. Lol now is this RB25DE in a dragon? Because then i could understand why you would need a boost gauge
