  1. Yeh mate Im very happy with them But anyway, still can't get the damn strut bar off so i might leave it for now. Frustrating
  2. Lol ill take ya word for it mate
  3. To be honest i think they sound awesome, love the sound of a boxer engine. They are not everyones cup of tea though
  4. Something i would love to do to a dog engagement gearbox
  5. ^^^ Fail at not being able to say p i g on the forums... clearly wasn't referring to police at all, and now it sounds offensive towards the police
  6. Yeh, hence my confusion with the mention of a GTR ETA at powercruise. My bad, full apologies, WRX's suck Friends? Now ive never even been in a GTR, let alone driven one, but i have driven my mates 12 second '97 WRX STI. I can tell you it does understeer quite badly, although i found it quite decent through the whole rev range (antilag + twin scroll conversion on a ihi vf37 helps a bit i imagine). Dog engagement gearbox is a cop on the streets though, i didn't find it much fun to drive at all. I think it is pretty hands down for the GTR
  7. http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/lofive...hp/t452714.html is the main one i was reading. I have a feeling i started reading at the wrong point in the thread though lol, now i don't know what car they are talking about. I tried to find specific mention of the car, but all anyone seems to be saying is GTR ETA runs a RB26/30, and then people are also talking about a WRX, and after re-reading it, not sure they are talking about the same car as there is mention of an S15 as well... Lol, too many cars with the plates GTR ETA, just goes to prove that the GTR is what they are aiming to beat
  8. Lol well i was fairly sure... was just on boostcruising and antilag reading about his build... unless there was another white WRX with plates GTR ETA at powercruise...
  9. yeh good man, they look sick
  10. Lol before anyone says anything, i am aware Sean's WRX runs a fully worked RB26/30... Was just saying it is fast
  11. To everyone saying WRX's are slow, did anyone see [GTR ETA] at powercruise? Because im sorry to say, but that was owning everything until it got engine knocks... That said, WRX's are still gay and the GTR wins hands down
  12. Congrats guys So the little guy has 3 weeks until his first SAUWA cruise and just over a month until his first driver training event, better start teaching him the ropes Paul
  13. My car is a manual... PFC was in my considerations
  14. Lol yeh, im in the hills, bit far to come. Im still trying some things, im sure i can get it off
  15. Lol im not doing this conversion tomorrow, its definitely something im spending a lot of time thinking about. Doing a lot of research and asking around, hence why i wanted to speak to a tuner. Thanks for the advice though guys

Lol now this is a conversation thats going somewhere, lets ALL build a 30... And enter them in Motorvation! No?
  17. Lol i think what he means is why was this thread posted here and not in the wasteland?
  18. Cheers for the offer mate, where abouts you located?
  19. Lol well to make sure its sharp im testing it out on your brake lines k None of these suggestions have worked by the way... Gonna take it to my mechanic tomorrow, he might give it a go with the rattle gun. Turns out they are on there really tight, its ridiculous. I may have to paint it with it on the car, but thats worst case scenario because it should be able to come off
  20. Well then i think youre the person to talk too Will send you a PM
  21. Could you explain in more depth exactly what you have done to your car? Could perhaps help me better... Ive been told by someone who has done this conversion on his R34 that the stock GTT ecu isn't the best option for a turbo conversion as even with a turbo, the ecu will be trying to find signals that a GT+T just won't have

I have to agree with snoop on this one guys, i think people were a little too harsh on him. I for one didn't see his attitude as negative, i rather viewed it as the attitude of someone who would like to take the opportunity to get involved in things. Perhaps his methods and wording were a little bit off, but i certainly didn't see it as negative. Although im no committee member, i thought i should just say that. Give the guy a break, effectively all he did was question why we were not involved in these big events, although i agree he could have raised the question in a different manner. However had some of us simply explained the situation to him without 'attacking' him, his issues may have been resolved easier. Of course that is just my opinion

Yeh as my current EOI for MV2010 is proving, there is not much interest from SAUWA members for these events. It is quite disappointing, but at least if we don't get anything together for MV, then this time people won't be able to say "thought SAUWA or members or someone wouldve organised something". Ive done the organizing, now when it comes to people signing up is where we fall apart, there just doesn't seem to be much interest in it. I realise my EOI hasn't been up for long, and we still have awhile before cut-off date, so im still optimistic that we can make this happen. But only 18 replies, less than 120 views, and only myself and one other member putting our hands up... Easy to see why there is a lack of representation at these events.
  24. Lol never thought this question would be the cause for such a big argument. All i want is to get my strut bar off haha
  25. Lol hey, i stamp my foot and pout in frustration to that comment. Tried WD40, didnt get it off. Havent tried jacking it up yet, will give that a go when i get home again I definitely have the right sized socket too, 12mm perfect fit. And i am turning them left thank you Don't understand why i would need a wheel alignment? Cheers for your help guys
