  1. I looked everywhere all over my car, including the build plate, and i cant find the paint code anywhere. I even got the painter that im going to to have a look, but he couldnt find it either, its either just not on there or its in fricken japanese. How can i find out my paint code?
  2. A couple of months ago, before i got my Skyline, was in my Vectra, i was driving home from my gf's at about 10:30-11pm, something like that. Anyway im driving down this street, and i see a bunch of people standing by the side of the road infront of a house, so i just thought "ok, someones having a party". So i slowed down a bit, and as i get closer, a couple of people start crossing the road, so i slowed down more. Then this one guy starts walking towards me, looking like he is about to try and tackle the car. He was clearly smashed, and looked like he was about to pass out right infront of me, so i moved onto the other side of the road, and went past him. As i start to speed up again, i hear yelling and then two glass bottles hit my boot. I was so tempted to stop, i was so angry, but i thought i better not because it was a whole party vs me, i wasnt liking my odds. When i got home i checked, and i have two big dents in my boot from that f**ker. What the hell makes people throw things at cars? It like they are trying to show how tough they are. Im more than happy for you to stand in front of my car and discover which one weighs more, you or the car; but im telling you now, its not an argument youre likely to win
  3. Man im sorry hey, cant imagine what goes through peoples heads. What a spectacular example of the awesomeness of human kind. Dont do drugs kids... Best of luck to you man, hopefully the police get her for this aye. By the way, i would also gladly give you $10, its a worthy cause
  4. Aw man thats f**king awesome!! I guess whoever stole it realised how far over they were! Question: How are they getting back to Perth lol? Anyway, thats such good news, real happy for you man, the gem in WA's crown has been found. Sucks about the radio and windows, but atleast it is in one piece. Details!? Just got back from Albany 2 weeks ago, the guy probably didnt know how to cope with all the round-abouts and wanted out lol. Best of luck fixing the car Kelvin, and selling it if youre still going down that path... Make sure forensics check out the car, see if the thief left any evidence in there
  5. Yeh you would think a smart person wouldnt drive it around... But then a smart person wouldnt steal a mans GTR either, so we already know they are idiots. It will be found man, thieves dont get things as nice as your GTR
  6. Oh just by the way, make sure you let us know as soon as its found, i would hate to be driving along and see the car, get my mate to jump across and knife the guy, only to find out we just killed Kelvin...
  7. Faaaark, that sucks man, nicest GTR in WA. Dont stand a chance of chasing it down if i see it lol, but i will definitely keep an eye out and call the cops straight away if i see it. Hope you get it back in one piece man, fingers crossed and eyes open for ya aye. f**k, cant believe it, i spent almost an hour just staring at this car at the motorshow...
  8. Hey all, I want to buy this GTR spoiler off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RTQ:MOTORS:1123 They say they can paint it for me, but they want to charge me $226 just for painting it. So all up thats like $450 or something. Could go for it, but i wanted to see if there would be a cheaper option first? So does anyone know where i could get it painted for cheaper, or could anyone do it for me, name your price. Cheers, Martin
  9. Also interested. Would it be hard to do yourself? I also need to get my passenger window fixed, auto eleccy would do that yeh?
  10. Ok cool, saw them when i drove it in. Ill get them sorted out in the near future as well, cheers man
  11. Oh sweet as lol, cheers. Another question lol, whats the name of the place you were going to send my brakes to?
  12. Yeh thanks a lot for this Brad. I personally dont hold anything against Peddars, i know my mate takes his Toyota Paseo there and they do a really good job on it, which is why i took mine there. I just think that perhaps they havent had a lot of experience with imported cars, so from now on ill probably take mine to WA Suspension. By the way Brad, is it possible to get my wheels balanced while youre working on it, or do i have to take it somewhere else? There is a place near me that will do it for 10 bucks, but if you are able to do it then it might as well just all get done
  13. Good call, i totally just finished doing that =] Works a charm, check it out: Still a little bit dodgy with the cables running down the front of my dash lol, but ill tuck them behind the dash when i install my other gauges. Cheers for everyones help!
  14. Well i spoke to Brad and im taking it into WA Suspensions on Friday morning. Hope its not too expensive =[ I would prfer to go to WA Suspensions to get my car done, but i live ages away from Osbourne Park; which is why i went to Peddars, as they are closer, didnt seem worth driving all the way to Osbourne Park just for a wheel alignment. But this is a little more serious so im definitely taking it there. Are bushes generally an expensive thing to replace?
  15. Mmmmm ok, so i got my car back from Pedders Suspension just then after getting my wheels aligned, and i got the to do a 28 point suspension check... News isnt good. There is excessive movement in my tie rod ends, and the steering gear rack has an internal knock. Pedders can fix those, although they didnt give me a quote because my car is imported. Now the bad news. My rear frame bush is torn, and Pedders cant get parts to fix it. They offered to try to make something up, but they said its risky because they would have to take the whole bush out to duplicate it, and if they take it out they cant get it back in, so if they cant duplicate it then its phucked... I asked the guy, and he said this could definitely cause the vibration that ive been noticing. Sooooo, does anyone know where i can get all this done, and how much it will cost me??? News pretty much ruined my day, so if anyone can help that would be awesome, cheers
  16. Haha yeh but by then its too late isnt it? Atleast if i am parked listening to music then i can keep an eye on the voltmeter and switch the car on when it gets a bit low
  17. Ok so how do i get to the ignition harness? Lol, total noob at this =P
  18. It comes from the back, forgot to mention it. You can even see a fair bit of vibration in the back end. But yeh, it only happens at 80 kms, you speed up and it goes away. I know the wheels do need a balance and alignment, but this vibration has only started recently. It makes a sound like you are driving on those strips on the road that are meant to wake you up, but there none of those anywhere on the road
  19. Lol so thats why it had opening ceremony on the instructions lol. Im still not sure how to wire the red one though, where is the ignition cable that i am wiring it into, and how do i get to it?
  20. Ok, its just a cheap brand, Dragon Gauge. Couldnt tell you what model lol, unless you are talking about my car? Here is a picture of it: You can see there it has a yellow and red wire, which i gathered you have to connect to an ignition source, and the black cable which would be the earth?
  21. Hey everyone, I just bought a voltmeter, but the instructions that came with it are incredibly vague, i think the only actual words it has on it are "Voltmeter" and "OPENING CEREMONY" lol. So does anyone know how to wire the red and yellow cables to an ignition switch, or fuse? I imagine tapping the fuse box would be easier, but im not sure how to do it?
  22. Hey, Me and my mates just got back from Albany, and we noticed when we got closer to home that the car vibrates alot and makes a strange noise when driving at about 80kms, but it doesnt do it at any other speeds. One of my mates thinks it might be the diff, as its the only mechanical thing back there, i just wanted to get some opinions, see if anyone might have an idea of what it is. Cheers for any help
  23. Lol my thread has totally been hijacked! Thats ok though lol, might look at getting one of these later anyway, so keep talking about it
  24. See thats probably what im gonna end up doing, just mounting the gauges without a holder, same place you have them. Is that cable going into your aircon vent from the gauges? Or how did you get the wiring through the firewall?
  25. Just a quick couple of questions about some repairs that my Skyline could need, dont think they are too serious, just wanted some advice. First off, my car is leaking something that smells like oil, but i checked the oil and coolant and everything and it is all perfect, so does anyone know what this could be? Second, my passenger side is rather annoying, mostly the power window causing problems. First off, whoever did the sound system for the previous owner left a bunch of excess speaker cable in the door, and it wrapped itself around the window arm and i think it bent it, so now the window comes up and down crooked and slow, and the door needs to be open for the window to come up completely. So does anyone know how to get the door frame off so i can actually have a look at what is going on? And does anyone know where i could get a new switch for the passenger window? I think the previous owner tried to fix the window and broke the rocker that sits on the switch to make the window go up and down, so now it can only be wound down and up from the drivers side.
