  1. The photos posted of the S1 interior are of a 34 GT. The GTT is the same except it has the triple gauge cluster in the dash.
  2. Careful what studs you use Ron. I bought proper high tensile exhaust studs from MTQ, who know their stuff with turbos. They were warped within less than 5000kms. Like completely banana shaped.
  3. Haha yeh what, 5 months after you promised it?
  4. The more traction you have, the more smoke it will make.
  5. Not a problem mate, I thought that might have been the case
  6. Haven't received a PM yet Elvis, just double checking you haven't missed me?
  7. Just take the lid of the brake fluid reservoir, then use a G-Clamp: to compress the piston.
  8. How far from a tune are you Luke??
  9. Haha I once watched him attempt to jump a postie-bike... With three other blokes on it at the same time OT, you didn't seem to have as much trouble with turn 5 as some of the others were having? I actually ended up leaving during the registered drivers qualifying because so any of them kept going into the sand that it was like 5 minutes of waiting between 30 seconds of drifting. Also, what was the deal with the starting point for the battles? They cut out the best bit of the track, turn 1 and then through the S-bends is what I went there to watch!
  10. Depends what you're doing. Flat, simple objects couldn't be easier. My ashtray turned out really well. My triple gauge cluster on the other hand...
  11. Just read your blog, didn't realize you went up against Mitch Bunney. Went to school with Mitch, good guy. Amazing driver.
  12. Was good seeing your car in the flesh man! I was gonna come say hey, but you didn't seem to be near your car and then they closed the pits off to general admission Some awesome driving out there though mate!
  13. More than half of what you say it is lol, base fuel pressure is 43psi.
  14. I melted that hose log ago and have had 0 issues with it. Still getting an icy 18 degrees and no water leaks
  15. Access to the oil filter with the Plazmaman is horrible. Impossible to get to from the top, can only get it from underneath. And if your car is as low as mine, you'll hate it haha. Even checking the oil level is a bit of a bitch now, be prepared to lose skin on your knuckles getting the dipstick out! Also forget about ever adjusting the IAC valve again. Not sure how bad it is on the standard 25 design, but if it's anything like the Neo then it is actually literally impossible. To sum it up, the only real definite advantages are looks and ease of access to the spark plugs and coils. Everything else is made a fair bit more difficult, so it kind of cancels out. That said, if I could go back I would still do it again. The looks are a pretty big advantage
  16. Lol. This guy.
  17. Ohhhhhhhhhh so did I lol. OP, assuming you have a stock turbo, 8 psi SHOULD be fine, but where are you getting that reading from? It's a bit hit and miss with R&R, some ECU's do it lower than others and some are fine running much higher boost, so it's definitely still possible that it's R&R.
  18. How's that clear? Has he mentioned something in another thread? Reading this thread it sounds stock?
  19. Looks like China crap to me. What's with the cling-wrap?
  20. I'd say you're on the right track, but it's not the fueling maps that are out it's the ignition maps. By changing the base timing from 0 to -15 degrees, you've taken 15 degrees of timing out of your whole map. So it would be terrible down low, but still ok up top. Best thing to do would be to get the tune checked, it could be something completely different that we don't know about.
  21. Haha thanks for that Kasko, pretty much on the money. Haven't looked into it a lot yet to be honest, graduate from Uni next week and fly out to Europe in 3, so been a bit preoccupied. Intention is to get into it once I get back from Europe next year.
  22. Wait what? What you are suggesting here is exactly the same as you have it now, all you're doing is adding unnecessary lines. The PCV is part of the cam cover, if you're connecting it to the breather on the cam cover then all you are doing is making a loop that does nothing.
  23. Ah fair enough. I did actually consider it, I was tempted by the price. Unfortunately I'm in the same boat as Trev in that it's not my preferred kit. In any case, I should get my setup working correctly without WMI before I start using it as a bandaid.
  24. Why aren't you keeping it Scott? You mentioned before but I've forgotten.
