  1. What's the deal with the Hero 3?? Is it only the black edition that is actually worth getting? It sounds like the white and silver editions are just slightly tweaked older models? In which case I'll save a bit of coin by buying an older model.
  2. Yeh after reading the reviews on here, it sounds like the quality has gone right up. K-Sport and D2 are both very good apparently. I was going to go Wilwood if Phil ever organised another group buy, but doesn't look like he is.
  3. Farkin was just about to buy a K-Sport 6 pot front brake kit for mine... drivers seat broke. Now I need to spend another grand replacing that. Cars. Cars are super fun!
  4. Well I actually did some of my stuff myself. But I believe the place I bought my supplies from (Kirkside Products in Osborne Park) will actually do it for you. Worth asking
  5. Straight copy from my sig: Engine: Link G4 Plug-In, Greddy Profec B-Spec II EBC, Haltech 3 bar MAP sensor, externally gated Hypergear ATR43 G3, Turbosmart Compgate40, 1000cc Injector Dynamics injectors, Plazmaman FFP, Plazmaman 72mm throttle body, JJR 3" bellmouth dump/front pipe, VENOM 5" 100 cell cat, 3" custom Kermit Engineering exhaust, Walbro GSS-342 in-tank fuel pump, GReddy FMIC, AGP triple core alloy radiator, stock GTR bov, custom Pro Fabrications alloy oil catch can/radiator overflow combo with Earls fittings, Splitfire coilpacks, HKS fuel rail, Speedflow braided fuel and turbo lines, Performance Springs valve springs and retainers, Tomei Type-B Poncams, Headtorque custom bronze valve guides, ARP head studs. Not exactly relevant to the original question haha
  6. Eh, mine idles at 15:1 at around 800rpm; no issues with stalling. Perhaps contributes to the slightly lumpy idle, but it's barely noticeable anyway.
  7. Yeh my Type-B's give me a slightly lumpy idle. Its actually more taking off in first that I can hear the difference, they have a deeper tone compared to factory cams. Probably a bit off topic, I just wanted to chime in
  8. Bah, vinyl wrapping is lame, get them skinned with 100% real cf
  9. Just got the latest Presets album. Good stuff.
  10. Hey mate, Any chance you can get in a drivers side Sparco Torino 2 seat? If so, how much would that be including shipping to 6069? Cheers, Martin.
  11. 'Even' button clutches? Button clutches are not hard to drive with haha. Not compared to a twin plate. Try getting a rwd car moving in bumper to bumper traffic with a twin plate for a few days, see how you feel about it then haha. Even better is taking off after getting pulled over by cops...
  12. Yeh well I wouldn't expect it to be a hell of a lot, but considering I'm chasing a restriction in my setup somewhere, I just want to know that everything is as good as it can be.
  13. That's what I've done. It's not going to be completely hassle free man, you're going to have to mess with things to get stuff to fit no matter what path you go down.
  14. Yeh this is my issue with cleaning it up which has me considering just getting one made.
  15. Haha yeh tell me about it. I have to jump start it this morning (fkn left bonnet open and forgot to switch interior light off. Means at least a minute of terrorising the neighbours lol. But I love the sound so they can deal with it :F
  16. Trev, I'll keep you informed mate. Going back to Kermy in the next couple of weeks to get my screamer redone, so I'll ask him what he thinks of it then.
  17. Way too close to the aircon pipe? My screamer currently holds my aircon pipe up on the chassis rail
  18. Mine is 3 years old now, so I wouldn't say it's a thing that has happened recently. Why does changing the flange pattern mean you should go external gate? I don't see how it makes anything harder? Right now you buy a HG turbo, and it's pretty much a requirement to have a dump pipe as well if you want the numbers. So you need to buy a turbo and a dump in either situation, why is it any harder to have a different flange if it's coming in a package?
  19. For your turbo, the Type-A's would be better. In fact. The stock cams would be the best. As Ash said, I wouldn't bother with cams with a 3071.
  20. Also thinking about this. Following the recent discussions on the JJR bellmouths not matching up to the gasket and possibly being a restriction, I decided to pull mine off to double check and low-and-behold, mine is the same. I could clean it up with a die-grinder, but I'm considering just having a custom dump pipe fabbed up, possibly in 3.5 or 4". Stao, how hard would it be to convert the G3 Type-A rear housing from the OEM 6-bolt pattern to a V-Band or even 5-bolt flange?
  21. Yeh this isn't really correct. Aside from it being yet another thing that can go wrong, you guys do know that idling isn't good for your car yeh? I mean yes, idling for 30 seconds to cool it down isn't going to kill the motor. But it isn't saving it either. It's doing nothing good, which means the tiny bit of bad that it does makes it a bad idea. But hey, I digress. Here I am preaching about it while mine is still in my car, albeit NOT FARKIN WORKING.
  22. Don't take it to a mechanic Or get an ecu where you can set the rev limit yourself Seriously though, why do people like to idle their car so much? Engines don't operate efficiently when they are idling.
  23. Show me this.
  24. +1 to all the above. I got one against all advice back when I first turbocharged my car. If I could go back, I'd flick myself in the nut for it. They're farkin annoying. Honestly, I've got a genuine Apexi one and if I could be bothered removing it, I'd give it to you 100% free.
  25. They say the same thing on all their events man, really it's just a "police may or may not be there, probably will, just letting you know so you don't cry to us if you get busted".
