  1. And when you go there, tell Michelle that Martin said hey
  2. And medium-to-large animals.
  3. Doesn't quite work that way unfortunately mate... Even if you can find an engineer willing to put his job on the line to sign you off on some non-compliant modifications; permits still aren't a 'get away with anything you like' card. If you take it back to the pits with the permits and the inspector still calls you out on those mods then the permits count for nothing and were a waste of money. Does depend on the modifications of course. Also I realize I'm not answering your question, so please don't take offense. It's just amazing the number of people you see on here who think getting permits for illegal mods will be the end of all their problems.
  4. If you don't like the price, don't buy one. Personally I'm perfectly happy with how much I paid. Keep in mind, parts for our cars are a niche market here. There isn't enough money in the industry to setup a parts manufacturing business and give away high quality parts cheaply. Supply and demand.
  5. Come back once you've done it, you can buy us a beer.
  6. This. And I freakin love mine
  7. Eh, let him find out. $400 intake pipe in't gonna be so funny all of a sudden...
  8. I think he's talking about the inlet manifold runner design... I didn't realize they were that different until I saw these either.
  9. Hyperdrive at the time. Andy is a very good tuner.
  10. I think he means he has a Nissan Cedric with a carby motor in it, and he wants to swap the 25 Neo in. But he wants to start the engine before he puts it in the car. OP, it's pretty much exactly the same as starting it in the car. You'll need an engine stand, and just keep in mind that you need to bolt the stand down REALLY well.
  11. There ya go then! It's all these little things that add up to the final product With regards to colour, personally I would go black.
  12. Ahhh that pod filter Coming along though mate, keep it up! You should get that alternator powder coated while you can, maybe even rebuild it? Easy while it's off.
  13. Woah NIStune is expensive over there... Cost me $750 supplied, installed and tuned. OT, +1 for definite yes mate. A good tune is the absolute best thing you can do.
  14. There are carbon ones on eBay every so while, but apparently the quality is horrendous and they don't fit very well.
  15. Harey on here has a tow ball on his GTT I believe. I have to agree with the above though, OP. A Skyline is really the wrong car for the job, they don't have the low-down torque needed to pull a trailer effectively. RB's love to rev, they're not designed for pulling power. You also won't get anywhere near 10l/100km's with an untuned RB25DE. My old engine used to get me about 350km's to a tank. Kwaka is spot on, an AU or even an older EL/EF Falcon would be more the vehicle to suit you.
  16. Hey all, I just wanted to know if oil temperature sensors are a fairly generic part? My Shadow Pro oil temp gauge has been stuffed since I washed my engine bay, and I think it is most likely to be the sensor as the gauge does it's normal thing when I disconnect it from the sensor. But Shadow Pro don't sell replacement parts from what I can find, so rather than buying a whole new gauge kit to replace it, wanted to see if I could find a replacement sensor. Thanks a lot Martin.
  17. Easier if you melt a hole for the valve, then there's no silicon required and no waiting
  18. Cutting compound was never going to work, the stuff is essentially used to get rid of orange peel or overspray and polish up an already good paint job. Your only option is to sand it back and go again. If you know how to spray then it's easy, but given you tried touch up paint originally I'm gonna assume you don't.
  19. I've reported you for that. It's somewhat amusing when it's in your own bullshit threads, doing it someone elses genuine thread is too much.
  20. Eh? It ends at the end of the month.
  21. I thought the same thing, but I believe this has been revised. http://www.transport.govt.nz/legislation/Vehicle-Emissions-Questions-and-Answers/
  22. Pity it's a GT... There's a way to fix that you know!
  23. Farkin hell. Living in WA gets better and better.
  24. You would need to put in a bigger resistor, so if you don't have knowledge of electronic circuitry then you might have to take them somewhere to be done.
