Yeh your exit pipe is much better than mine. Mine is a sharp 90 degree angle, straight out of the wastegate: Horrible for flow. My fabricator has had all the stuff to make me a proper one for well over a year now, but between him being busy and my car not running, I haven't managed to get it done yet. I'll do it before finishing off the full E85 tune and see if it helps, but the fact that it never had an issue on 98 fuel is puzzling.

Yeh misfires were killing me man I was wondering if that was you, I only saw the one silver 34 so I was like that had to be him! haha. Spark plugs are NGK coppers, gapped to 0.6mm. Your car must be running hugely rich haha! I'm on ethanol and I only just used over 1 tank over the whole weekend, including driving 40km's there and home again every day! Legend man, thanks! First time a photographer has ever uploaded photos of my car I'm going through the videos at the moment, so will give you something soon haha. -
Haha mine did the same thing man, though I don't have a 6boob, just gate off the turbo housing. But it's always held boost dead flat on 98, then had the flex fuel done and it now creeps from 21psi to 25psi. My tuner thinks the wastegate is too small (Turbosmart CompGate 40) and the screamer pipe coming off at a 90 degree angle isn't good for flow. So I will sort those out, but they have always been like that and always held boost very well prior to the ethanol.

Thanks Stao, I'll consider it but for the moment I'm pretty happy and just want to drive the car for a bit. The amount of money I have spent on dyno time, I'm sure I could have a house by now lol. With regards to how much power it picked up, I think that will depend on how knock limited the engine is on 98. Mine was pretty bad, it didn't take much timing at all before knocking. That made quite a big difference because my car loves timing so much, it's got a heap more timing in it now and so makes much better power. The interesting thing is that it doesn't like boost. If I could figure out why it loses power when it starts getting some proper boost into it - ie. >20psi - then I actually think it would make even more power then it is now. I see no reason why if I could get it to take ~23psi and the amount of timing it currently has, without the current misfiring, and actually like it, the power figure would be closer to 430-440rwhp on full E85 (known restrictions like the standard manifold etc. aside). The other interesting thing is that it takes SO much extra fuel as well. My tuner needed to add 40% more ethanol just on E53, we aren't even up to E85 yet. So that could be an indication of something there, or my car just loves alcohol more than Charlie Sheen either way, the car isn't a finished article yet. -

Ooo that sucks. Mine isn't quite so serious. Its just a slight misfire at high revs in 3rd gear and over. Can feel the car lose power when it happens though, it's killing me in the races still having a blast though! This idiot forgot the SD card for hihis GoPro today, so not much footage today luckily my mate has one and I lent him my external mic, so I have got some runs. Will remember mine tomorrow. -

Nah didn't clean the tank. Just stocked up on fuel filters and plan to change them regularly for awhile. Only thing is, I haven't been running full E85. So I don't know how much cleaning the E53 would have been doing, but I'll change it anyway. -

That's essentially what's happening, but I'm not game to go do a full load pull while looking at my laptop on the street! -

There will be videos! Whether my car does any munching will have to be seen haha. Bumped the ethanol content up to 65% yesterday, tuner can't fit me in on the dyno but has offered to do a road tune to wind the boost up a bit. So should be making over 400rwhp for the event. -

Going awesome man, it's never run so well! Good tune helps that haha. Just gonna change my fuel filter tomorrow before Powercruise, see how dirty it is. Haven't figured anything else out though, I'm 90% sure it's the turbo. I've just tried everything else :/good luck with your tune, who is doing it? -

Nice! Let me know what the queue is like haha. I think I'm just gonna head up Friday morning. Ethanol disappears too fast to make the trip twice -

Are you talking about the shift light? Or the two smaller red things on either side of the steering wheel? I had wondered what they were myself... -
Because at the time, Haltech didn't make a plug in board for the 34. That has only just hit the market, in fact it might still even be due for release to the public. I was never interested in going wire-in, so Haltech just wasn't an option for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my Link, but I do think Haltech is a fantastic product as well. I went to a tech night of theirs a few weeks ago, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Haltech product after that.

Yeh did it myself. Wasn't too hard to do, and makes the whole interior look newer! Feels nice too -
And they sorted it out quick smart. Its also not like it was a dangerous problem, it just had a malfunction with the com ports. Not anything that is gonna risk the engine. I don't recall Mat having any problems with his, and he loves it haha. I don't think Haltech is an 'up-and comer', they are well established. 28 full time employees is a big company. I know reading on the Link forums that there have been a few failures there, and countless Power FC's have had issues. Doesn't make them a dud product.

Haltech are a big company with 28 people employed doing nothing but improving their existing products and coming up with new ones. If there is an issue with their ECU's, they will help get it sorted.

EV14's? Guess it's a bit late now, but maybe look into the ID2000's if you do want that extra room? -
I do love UT. If I end up getting FIFA, it will only be to play UT. I feel FIFA as become a bit focused on UT, they haven't improved any of their other game modes for years. Not completely a bad thing, but sometimes I just don't feel like playing online. Its rather like COD in that respect, the game is designed to be played online and is good fun when you do, but the off line game modes are under developed and poor.
-
Well the last few years I've bought and played both. I haven't played FIFA since about January, but I was playing PES up until Thursday when 2014 came out. And it's just improved on the things that made it so addictive. Funny side note, PES 2014's stock soundtrack... Yehhhh Pavarotti nothing gets me more in the mood to go and win the Champs League like listening to a bit of Nessun Dorma

Interesting that the 2000cc injectors won't fit?? What injectors and rail? I know Mat (34GeeTeeTee) is using ID2000's with his Plazmaman plenum without issues, but he does have a Neo and HKS fuel rail. But I would think there would be a better solution than having to downsize? -
The ONLY issue I've noticed is it has a slight frame rate problem. With all the improvements to graphics, they obviously forgot to amendthe frame rate. So on replays and near miss goal attempts, the game lags for a split second. Not game breaking, but enough to notice it. Not sure if that is only an issue on PS3 or if it's something that can be fixed in an update. Either way, not a major problem.
