  2. Sort of forgot about it with all the other problems now. Was a huge hole in the cylinder 1 collector on the intake manifold. No idea how it happened. Seems incidental now.
  3. Nothing so obvious. If it had been a complete engine failure then I could just buy a new motor. But according to Sean, mine is still drive able. It's only when he tried to do a full load power run that the engine loses compression and he has to abort.
  4. So the saga continues... Engine failed on the dyno today. Valves are sticking open. Don't even know where to start, but tomorrow I have to pick the car up and get it home. No idea where it goes from here.
  5. I'm just trying to think of an adapter that would seal better than just bolting it to the afm? Doesn't make sense to me, you have to bolt it to something, if you don't have a gasket then it isn't going to seal. If you do have a gasket then just bolt it to the afm, why wouldn't it seal?

  9. How much are they costing you? Have you not considered just getting some ID1000's? I realize that's not what you're asking, but if you want to run E85 and you're killing stock injectors doing it, why not just go tried and proven?

  11. I am full retard hey, I knew that. I think it was just yesterday or the day before when I was explaining in the other thread how the bloke could tell if his Stagea had a pull or push type clutch, and I mentioned I thought they had 33 GTR boxes. It's been a long day
  12. If you end up dropping in to Perth, I'll show you what a real free-flowing exhaust sounds like Lol. You can definitely get true 3" exhausts that are within legal limits. Best bet is custom though, don't go off the shelf stuff. With custom you can tell them exactly what you want and how you want it to sound, anyone who is good at what they do will be able to give you exactly that.
  13. Mine had to have been reprogrammed with a manual image then, I wasn't getting any error codes. I wasn't aware that the 25Neo Stags came in manual, I thought they were all auto.
  14. Possibly. If I'm decelerating then I'm never in first anyway, so never would have noticed. Fuel economy definitely wasn't any different though.
  15. Yeh man, I got one of the ones that David sells. I'll have to let you know how it goes with tuning, my tuner is still working on it. Apparently the cold start tables take quite a bit of time to set up. I spoke to him on Friday though and he hasn't mentioned any problems, so should be all good. Expecting to have it back Tuesday/Wednesday arvo, so I'll let you know then
  16. It doesn't drive any different. At least not in my case, I don't know if there is a difference between an R34 ECU reprogrammed to use the Stagea image and a Stagea ECU. But I took mine out, posted it off to Matt at NIStune, then 4 days later I plugged it back in and drove it again. Absolutely no difference in the way it drove, except I noticed the misfire at ~5000rpm cause by the ECU pulling timing/fuel had gone. It was otherwise exactly the same. It's a null point now, I'm not using it anymore. Turns out... You didn't want to use my ECU. Fkn thing.

  18. Just to expand on that, I believe the problem with the Japanese exhausts is that to obtain the Jasma approval, a lot of them are not true 3" exhaust. A lot of them step down to 2.5" just before/after the mufflers to help reduce noise, and these step downs can be quite restrictive.
  19. Yep, did it for mine. Had it reprogrammed with a S2 Stagea image to eliminate the traction control in my R34.

I've been tossing up between so many colours, but my original idea was metallic gunmetal. So I think that comment just reassures me that it would look killer Still so much to do before it's done though... Still looks horrible to me
