Interesting that. Mine cold starts as easily on E85 as it does on any other ethanol percentage. My car is honestly just better at everything on ethanol, though admittedly on full 85 the economy goes out the window haha. But I just keep it at about E60 so that I get the full knock resistance and most of the other benefits of the fuel, without the huge amount of extra fuel needed. On the track I'll use full E85. Dont even worry about your ET until you get some practice. Your trap speeds will tell the real story. One tip for improving your times though - don't worry about racing the guy lining up next to you. Just do your own thing and don't worry about the start light, your time doesn't start until you move so until you can get the launch and things down there isn't much point trying to race. Loads of fun though

I agree it turned to shit for a bit there. I was also a big PES fan on PS2. Converted to FIFA for a few years there, but last year PES picked it's game up and just had a few things letting it down like shooting mechanics and goalkeeper animations. Also not being able to change club in Master League made it get boring very quickly. But this year they have addressed all of those issues, and it really is a better game than FIFA.

I see, fair enough! Will keep an eye on this, do have a soft spot for Pulsars. -

Seems quite low compression for a built motor if you're not planning on taking the power much higher? I take it you can only run 98 fuel? -
Ethanol is the ducks nuts. Got my flex fuel setup 90% finished last week, car struggled to make 320rwhp on 98 and then went 390rwhp @19psi on E53. Love the stuff! Birds, you planning on hitting the strip to back up the numbers?

Hey all, Just thought I'd get some discussion going about the new series of footballing games. Anybody committed to one yet? I've decided to go with PES this year. Last year I thought they were about on par, this year I think PES has come on leaps and bounds and the new engine gives it an edge over FIFA. FIFA just feels much the same as last year, and compared to PES, the mechanics feel clunky and the physics just aren't as good. Scoring goals is harder in PES, but it just makes it so much more exhilarating when you do score. I scored a real cracker with Howedes playing with Germany yesterday, picked the ball up from a corner clearance, hit it from 35 yards with the outside of the boot and it just curled magnificently into the far corner. It was so much fun I just watched the reply over and over for a good 5 minutes. I haven't had that in FIFA. PES also has the by far better game modes. Master League and Become a Legend are infinitely more fun than FIFA's Be a Pro and Career modes. Of course there is the online factor... Haven't played online yet, but last year Pro Evo's online play was awful. Might end up getting both of them if I get bored playing offline. Anyway, opinions?

Very good write up mate, solid effort! Just a couple of tips: I prefer to use 6oz fibreglass cloth and epoxy resin rather than the chopped strand mat and polyester resin that comes in those kits. Reason being, epoxy resin is a lot stronger than polyester, and CSM can turn into a real mess if you get it wrong. I haven't seen cloth and epoxy in a kit so not sure if you can get it, but you should be able to get it from any fibreglass supplies shop for about $5 a meter for the cloth and $15 or so for the resin. Also when you grind out those cracks, I actually prefer to take away more material than less. So rather than grinding a groove along the crack, I just grind the whole cracked area away. Reason being, it will give you a stronger finish to completely get rid of that damaged section then to try and fill it in. Like so:

Anyone got some free software that's a little more advanced? I have been using VideoPad Pro, but the video and audio not syncing properly is really shitting me these days. Too much stuffing around to get it to match up again. I also tried Wondershare, and while I like the effects it has, it doesn't have many good transitions. It also puts a watermark on finished videos unless you upgrade to the Pro version, but don't wanna pay for it when I'm not totally happy. Anyone tried Lightworks? Have heard it's outrageously complicated to use. Would rather something a bit simpler, but with lots of options. Any suggestions?

S14 With Neo Rb25 Drift Car.

That's beautiful... Your wiring is just outstanding, really makes me want to strip my car and do everything custom. Because having your indicators on a switch panel in a street car is completely necessary Seriously though, I'm loving this build. I just tend to just sit on the side lines and applaud quietly. -

What are you going to do with the alternator to support the fuel setup? The Walbro 460 by itself draws huge current, using that and three additional 044's would be massive overdraw. -

Don't think I ever posted these photos: Got over the old white leather trims that I put in when I first got the car. Realised it looked horrible, so got some new black ones. Retrimmed the steering wheel while I was at it. Got some new bits and pieces for my GoPro, so had a bit of a play: Aaaaand this is a compilation of clips I've taken since the tune: -
If simple is all you want, then Windows Live Movie Maker will do the trick. If you've got Windows 7 then you already have it

Swap Injector To Aftermarket One
Hanaldo replied to 450Nickisonfire's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
No, it'll run very rich and probably not drive at all. Also I'm not sure I understood you correctly, are you wanting to swap out all the injectors for aftermarket ones or just one injector? Because that certainly won't work. -
There you go then

I think they are an M6x1.5 They are the same as the top two corner bolts on your timing cover if that helps. They are what I used.

No worries mate. It really is amazing stuff. Can't wait to finish off this tank and change my fuel filter, see what crud has been cleaned out Also, it makes the exhaust fumes smell delicious! -
Yeh gotta do your research before pulling things apart and blaming the manufacturer when you do something wrong... Nissan crank pulleys don't use the claw pullers. You use the two threaded holes on the front.

I believe United E85 is generally 91 octane unleaded blended with ethanol. That isn't necessarily a bad thing though. The extra octane isn't necessary, and the lower octane will actually help the mixture to ignite. We are already talking about a 108 octane fuel here, so the octane rating of the petrol blended with it is inconsequential. -

Haha Yeh yeh, that is very impressive! I meant between the current E53 and E85. I doubt I'll see much more from here. -

Hanaldo replied to Hanaldo's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Yes, but I doubt my car is going to deliver those same gains. My car loses power with more boost the knock resistance of the fuel is just about at its fullest where I am, so it's only small benefits from here. I'm sure it will nudge over 400rwhp, but not expecting heaps more. Seriously magical fuel though! -
