  1. Could always give Andy a call and ask, but I have a feeling they are too busy with their other work. Still worth finding out. Have you thought about Beyond Custom in Morley? Have seen some fantastic cars come out of there.
  2. Right, so I just wanted to double check before I make a poor decision... Upper plenum gasket. What should I do here? Plazmaman only offer one for the R33; so I was trying to track down an OEM one, but Nissan wanted $160 and I haven't found any other manufacturers. There's some on eBay but they don't say much so not sure how good they are. A mate of mine who is also on here (Stealth-X) said I should be fine just stenciling one out of gasket paper and then applying silicon, however I'm not going to have a chance to test things before it goes on the dyno due to changing fuel rail, injectors, regulator at the same time. So if it does give out then it's going to cost me a lot of money and time. Recommendations? Will the gasket paper and silicon do the job?
  3. What's it to you man? Why is it so important to you that every time something goes wrong with Steven's build, you are there to rub it in his face?
  4. They are the same. RB25's all use the same AFM, RB26's are different.
  5. Just watched the videos in the demo of the online play... Fkn amazing. Do you guys play on PS3 or X-Box? If you're on PS3, add my PSN ID: the_last_phantom.
  6. Haha yeh, I'm returning to the Alps at the end of the year, the anticipation is killing me!
  7. If it arrives tomorrow I'll be jelly, isn't released in store until Thursday. Agree that multiplayer is going to be great, I can't wait to play online! Also can't wait to try different mods, starting to get sick of this racing down the Rockies business
  8. Could be worse When do you get the oil test results back?
  9. Speak to a lock smith, they can get into anything they want. The dead-lock broke on the front door of my house so I arranged for a lock smith to come have a look at it. However I was actually away on holiday with nobody at home when I got a phone call from him saying he was at my house to fix the lock. Told him I was away for 2 weeks and he said no problem, he'll just let himself in and fix it anyway. Scary thought, but there you go. Although I don't know if the same applies for cars...
  10. Anyone else looking forward to this game as much as me?? Maybe it's because I'm a snowboard junkie in real life and I'm in constant withdrawal stage when I'm not in Europe, but I am fkn psyched for this game. Been playing the demo for the last few hours, can't wait to be able to do more than the demo lets me. Anyone know what the deal is with the release date though? Official release date was 16th of Feb, but EB and JB are saying March some time? Hurry up dammit!
  11. Yeh sucks, I just did the sump gasket in my EL. Not a whole lot of fun.
  12. Was it the 'rattle snake' one? I like that one better than most but still not a fan of atmo's. In my case it's stock GTR or nothing.
  13. This one? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=110483 Tried to embed but I'm on my iPhone and it's all too hard.
  14. I meant to say its NOT going to cost a bucket load, wasn't concentrating. You're going to find out the hard way that modifying your car is a process that takes time. You swap out injectors, afm, turbo and get it tuned; you're going to be without your car for more than a day. You can't do without your car then you can't modify it, you need to sort something out anway. As for defects etc. an aftermarket internally gated turbo is just as illegal as an externally gated one. Just do it properly.
  15. Yeh that sounds tits.
  16. Or just sell your bellmouth dump pipe and get a completely new custom dump pipe made? I dunno about over there, but the best in the business here did mine for 350 bucks. You could easily sell your JJR dump for $200ish and then it's only gonna cost you another 150 or so and you have a dump pipe that is most likely going to work a lot better than a modified JJR one. Unless you're worried about potential defects, I don't see why you're so against going external gate when it's plain and simple better and it's going to cost a bucket load to do.
  17. Yes, my first comment was just a warning to anyone reading who may have interpreted that as high tensile = high heat resistance For example those Supercheap bolts. What is their intended purpose, what grade steel are they, does anyone know? I'd be wary of putting anything like that in, just because they fit doesn't mean they are right for the job. Although they appear to be doing the job for Stao and others, I just wonder how they would deal with a beating out on the track.
  18. Yeh just be careful with that though, high tensile doesn't mean high heat resistance. Tensile only refers to how much stress something can take when being pulled on. Heat changes the tensile properties of the stud unless it is highly heat resistant as well. That said, I'd say most high tensile studs intended for manifold use will cope with what you can throw at it with one of these turbos. Perhaps if you were making 700hp and really pushing a lot of heat while out on the track in stressful conditions then you might run into some issues.
  19. 9-sec ramp rate is the norm. Some may use a 12-sec for whatever reason, but I'd just ask Mick what he used for your run, my bet is 9-sec same as Trent. Don't think we are going to find answers there man
  20. Haha Kermy is the one that told me I need to source a flange to do it, he is doing my piping but I need the flange before he can weld the bov.
  21. Hey all, I've just bought a Plazmaman forward facing plenum, so I'm going to have to relocate my stock GTR blow off valve. I just wanted to find out where I could go (NOR) to get a custom flange made up?? Cheers, Martin.
  22. Ermm... Wow you're defensive You do realize Sarge didn't actually say anything offensive right? That car looks EXACTLY like a car does when you jack it up and loosen off the wheel nuts. Settle down, brah.
  23. Yeh? Wasn't aware... Do you know where from? I just ordered a set of ID1000's, would be good if I didn't have to rewire.
