You can get the 14mm collar, so they fit physically. Need a spacer because they are full length while GTT injectors are 3/4 length. They use different plugs is the biggest issue, not a big deal if you know what you're doing or getting them installed. So it's not a huge lot of stuffing around to fit them. Was just mentioning in case the OP is after drop in OEM replacements and doesn't want to modify anything.

Oh no no, that was your post getting in the way lol I was referring to the ID1000's that Artz posted. They won't suit the stock setup. I took a bit long replying and didn't see your post so I didn't bother quoting haha.

Like the ones in your avatar?

From what I found when looking for my injectors, yes. From memory my options were the Nismo 480's (wanted bigger), Siemens Deka's (tuner told me not to), Deatschwerks (couldn't find a lot of info), and the Power Enterprise which is what I ended up going with.
-
I wouldn't go as far as saying that, but the name SuperStreet sort of gives an indication as to their intended use don't you think? The SS series is more than likely fine for the track, I'm simply paranoid I looked at two turbos with very similar performance, one looked more suitable than the other for what I wanted so I went with that. Don't forget that these turbos are forever changing and gettin better though, it's like buying a mobile phone. You buy the top of the range model when it first comes out and 6 months later it's redundant. My reasons for buying the G3 possibly don't apply anymore.

They are the best ^ But they won't suit the stock setup.

I'm more worried about heat soak and super-heating of the intake charge. When you're at a consistent high rpm (I don't think I was ever below 4500rpm on my last time out) around the track there is obviously going to be a lot of heat. As I don't have an ECU capable of pulling fuel/timing based on intake air temperature, I wanted to avoid super-heating the air and causing detonation.
-
Agreed, the radiator isn't needed. With the injectors, I take it you want something that is direct plug and play? Of the list that you put up, I believe only the Power Enterprise injectors will fit straight in. The Nismo 480's will as well, so depends on what your goals are for the car. I would recommend getting bigger injectors to accommodate any changes you want to make in the future.

Haha yes, it's like that now. Read back through the thread, there have been multiple changes to the G3 and SS2 that have affected their power curves since I bought mine, the graphs you are comparing are the latest ones. I will see if I can find the graph that I used to compare the two when I bought mine. The G3 kills the SS2 for peak torque however you look at it though, not sure what you're going on there. One of the other main reasons I went with the G3 is because I track my car, so heat is a very important factor for me. Stao mentioned that the G3 was not getting hot at all during tuning and he was running it as high as 23psi. For sure I would have gone the SS2 if my car was purely a streeter, but I took different things into account such as the high rpm performance of the two, heat factors, etc. etc. Cost was also a factor I'll be honest, Stao sold me the G3 that came straight off his car for the same price I was able to sell my old G2 for, so the swap cost me virtually nothing.

Billet Fuel Filters With An Fittings
Hanaldo replied to 75coupe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Actually not sure why I was even considering one with threaded ends, would require more fittings that I don't really need. What about the Earls inline barb end type, like this: It's the only barb end filter they offer but it's only 35 micron sintered bronze element, is that ok? Flows 4-5 GPM. Would prefer one of their new billet inline filters, but they only come in threaded ends and I imagine are quite expensive themselves. -
I went with the G3 because it makes more torque at each rpm increment than the SS2, and it makes more power under the curve (don't just look at boost or response here, the G3 is making more power everywhere than the SS2). The SS2 only catches up in the higher rpm to make the same power, the G3 beats it everywhere else, even if it's only just. On Stao's results anyway, I haven't got those results yet.

Billet Fuel Filters With An Fittings
Hanaldo replied to 75coupe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'll let you know where I get everything from in the end, but I'm probably just going to do some rough measurements with the HKS rail dummy fitted and then purchase a little more hose than I think I'll need, just in case. Going to just buy the hose and fittings and put it together myself, means I can just cut to length when I need to. Fitting types should be easy enough. 90 degree fitting into the fuel rail, 180 degree fitting on the return side, going to run the return line parallel to the fuel rail and then back to the reg. Still need to figure out sizes for fittings into the regulator, but they should all just be straight hose ends I think. -
Billet Fuel Filters With An Fittings
Hanaldo replied to 75coupe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yes I won't keep the stock fuel filter when I make the switch to E85. Would I be better off replacing the stock one now with one of these inline filters but with barbed fittings instead of the AN fittings? To save having to replace the hose from fuel pump to rail? -
Billet Fuel Filters With An Fittings
Hanaldo replied to 75coupe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Right, just bumping this thread rather than posting a new one. I'm in the process of collecting parts to upgrade my fuel system again, so far I've purchased a HKS fuel rail and Sard FPR, will be buying some ID1000's in the next few days as well. The plan is to run AN -6 braided hose for the supply and return fuel lines in a standard single entry setup for now. Now I just wanted to find out if it would be beneficial to run one of these inline filters in addition to the standard fuel filter? Say something like this: http://www.frozenboost.com/product_info.php?cPath=219&products_id=268&osCsid=ccd36ac1115ad3561f7fcba7f6945c63 Or would it simply be a waste of money given the extra fittings etc. involved? The idea is to start getting my system E85 compatible but will still be using pump 98 until E85 is more readily available over here. At the moment I sort of feel like the extra filter probably isn't needed but thought I should ask before I order fittings. I'm also a little skeptical of the quality of things on the website I linked, so is there a better option if these are a worthwhile thing? -
Haha you think you've got problems, I need to drive up on chocks to be able to fit a low-profile jack under the car
-
Yes.

Yeh that's it hey. He doesn't go through anything with you, he just gives you a list and points you to where you can hand your money over. "Too busy" to answer any questions as well.

If it's the spacer that Hypergear send out with their turbos then it's 15mm.

Manifold studs are M10x1.5 mate.

Plazmaman Plenum Install To R33 Rb25
Hanaldo replied to PaulosECR33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Nice write up mate, this is going to be a big help for when I do mine, though will be interesting to see what differences in installation there are between the standard 25's and the Neo. How long did this take you if you don't mind me asking? I'm anticipating it to take at least a whole weekend, perhaps more if I need to wait until shops are open if I forget/purchase wrong parts, etc. -
You won't need 60mm. I used 57mm studs from MTQ.
-
When I drive on the street it doesn't make much difference to my fuel economy whether I give it some stick or drive it like a granny. I just don't spend enough time on boost on the street to actually use any fuel. On the track I get about 180-200kms to a tank though

What bonnet? Lol of course not, but I go to Powercruise every year where I enter the show and shine. What can I say, I'm a show pony
-
It isn't a BIG deal, I mean it's not a deal breaker. It's just a happy benefit that comes with going forward facing. But I've got nicely powdercoated rocker covers and carbon fibre valley cover that gets covered up by this hideous crossover pipe and I'm paranoid about scratching them when I have to do spark plugs etc. It's not all about performance for me

No, dammit that's the sound I was hoping for when I bought them! Lol. Bov is plumbed up, just sounds like normal flutter though not like that ^
