One Spark Plug Melted, Rest Are Fine...

Damn phone, pushed post too early. Meant to say I'd be getting the injectors flow tested. -

One cylinder running lean? -
The cover is useless for keeping out moisture/dirt anyway, the holes for the bolts to go through leak and there is a big gap at the back as well. You need a substantial amount of water to cause any problems, you won't get anywhere near enough just splashing up from the road. I've had mine off for about a year now, no problems.
-
Don't you hate that? Mine was the same when I installed my Walbro, arms didn't feel so flash afterwards

I doubt you will be able to get them locally, have a look online. Either Bride or Recaro rails will suit, I've got the Recaro's myself and they fit perfectly and work like a dream.
-
You will need either aftermarket seat rails or skills with an angle grinder/tig welder.

Yes, well we ended up just cutting the hard pipe about 2 inches from the bottom and then used two pieces of short length hose with the off-cut hard pipe in between them. The standard rubber return hose was only JUST too short, like I could get it on to both the turbo hard pipe and the sump return, but it was only just on there so wasn't enough room for a hose clamp. So only needed to be extended a little bit. I'm not really happy with how we fixed it, it's a bit back-yardish so I'll be getting a custom braided line with fittings made up to replace it soon. When it comes to oil and hotness, I don't want to be messing around with potentially dodgy connections.

Oh my motors not NA. I imported a smashed GTT from Japan and transplanted everything. Problem is there is no difference between my car and a 'proper' GTT. It has everything, it was all literally taken straight out of a GTT and put into my car. Everything. The issue is what we wired up and what we didn't. Things like traction control which I never wanted and never knew could cause issues like this. So I need to figure out what it is exactly that is upsetting the ECU and how it can be fixed. Worst case scenario I have to ditch the NIStune and get something like the ViPEC plug-in.

Injector Dynamics don't make a drop in injector for RB25's do they? All the ones I've seen are top feed/high impedance, so need a fuel rail and other bits and pieces.
-
Perhaps not at the pump, but I'm toying with the idea of getting a separate tune for ethanol to use on track days. I've received mixed opinions on running large injectors in a street car. Some people say they just won't idle nicely or deliver good fuel economy, others say that is all in the tune. From personal experience, my car doesn't idle the best and I have some issues on start up, but I get pretty good fuel economy. Those issues could be injector related or they could be something else, so it's hard to say. I'd speak to your tuner about it.

This is how it is with my turbo at the moment. I'm only getting full boost by 5000rpm, but my god it's a fun 2000rpm Need to work out my midrange issues

Rough rule of thumb is 1cc = 1hp at the engine. As Scott said though, leave room for when you change your mind in the future. I wish I had gone with 850's instead of the 650's now.

Would have worked, but it's another cost. To be honest I think the best way is to get a custom braided line made up. No problems, perfect fit, easy. Expensive, but by the time you get to this stage you will be ready to sell your mother to get the farken thing finished

Yeh tried a unicoil, problem is you then don't have enough space on the hose to get a hose clamp on.
-
Yeh but you're asking the same questions over and over again dude. Fair enough you want answers, but you don't seem to want to accept them if they aren't the one you are looking for. You've been told that the Kando setup will most likely be more than the HG turbo, and in fact the Kando setup does not suit what you want. You have said you want an internally gated, bolt on turbo that is capable of 280-300rwkw. The HG turbo suits that perfectly. All questions answered.
-
As for plugging it up, the best way is to obviously get it welded shut. If you need a somewhat temporary fix, I would attach a small piece of hose to the nipple and then put a screw or similar object in the end to block it off. Best to use a hose clamp to hold the bung in there if you can, you don't want it to blow out.
-
Get rid of the one after the intercooler. You want your boost feed from as close to the turbo as possible. Reason being that if you have it after the intercooler and for some reason develop a huge pressure drop, then your turbo is going to be working extra hard to pump out the same pressure and you will end up with superheated intake charge potentially causing knock or other problems.

I know there's a few differences and the motor is a 26 not a 25 and so on, but it may be helpful anyway? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/278761-pics-of-my-motor-build/

I'm sure they did, what a good Samaritan. Just as a matter of interest, would said good Samaritan that PM'd spence mind posting in here? Just because I, and I'm sure others, would like to know for sure from another R34 GTR owner how much they make in stock form? Surely would have been easier for this mystery person to post their response in here where the question was asked and other future readers may look for an answer? Or is the answer a secret that only 34 GTR owners are allowed to know?

I would at this stage suggest that you go and research how all this stuff works. You're going to cause yourself a lot of problems if you don't understand what you are actually doing to your car. If you don't know what a V-Band flange is or how it works, go and research it. If you don't know how an external gate works, or why it may be necessary or unnecessary for your setup and what you are trying to achieve, go and research it. It will take a few hours, and then when you understand it all, you can come back and start thinking about what you are going to do and you will reap the benefits of knowing these things.
-
And how did that work out for you?

Same place to be fair, they are simply expensive. Not the most expensive I have seen though. That's simply how much they charge, I didn't go in there and say "I will give you x $$ for x product". I do believe that is how supply and demand works just by the way.
