thanks a lot for the reply,man, well i got a catch can at my house ,jus never got to put it on.. after reading a few threads on here, some ppl said a catch can's only neccessary for cars that see many track days(ive never taken mine to the track). i'll give this a go tomorro afernoon and see how it goes. could it possibly be a leaky gaskett somewhere?

hey guys, old post i searched up, just need some answers, i was cleaning out stuff like the afm and making sure all my FMIC silicon hoses were airtight, when i noticed some oil under where my boost controller was, i took the controller out, looked pretty oily, i cleaned it out and connected to the stock pipes back, I took it for a drive, looked at it and there was more oil. the oil seems to be coming from the IC and going towards the solenoid t-piece. whats going on? i think theres a leak somewhere letting oil into my intake, i took the IC piping goin to the throttle body off and there was some oil there,not much but it was noticable. I would just like to know if this is a real bad thing? the car boosts fine (10 psi, earthed to always run high boost), i havent put the controller back on, will probably get rid of it. do u guys know where this could be coming from? Im really confused. this just isnt my month,lol cheers for any help Ben

haha i went to kmart, to get some, looked at the tecaloy,,was cheap as f*k, thought about it and just put it down,,gotta b a reason why its so cheap lol..i bought the much more expensive castrol one,dont wanna skimp on somethin like this

LOL, I would never go there for big important purchases, i only bought little stuff that i wanted like gear knobs n sh*t, i wouldnt go there to buy somethin my car depended on, like a new turbo or fuel pump. but anyways, glad to see theyve moved so close to my house lol,i dnt have to travel all the way to oakleigh, they got the cheapest parts ive come across

Are S2 AFM's pink label? Coz i got a 93 S1 and i got a pink label afm. does that make a difference to the readings, performance etc.?

why do u wanna know the rpm? it really depends on boost,,more boost = more revolutions+less turbo life. ive heard turbo's can do about 10,000 rpm, but dunno wat boost that is. i think the question u should b asking is how much boost can ur turbo take before blowing up. just do a search, theres lots of info about turbos and thier limits. and ive never heard of an rb20dett

Yeah you would need a remap to run higher boost, or get a pfc or somethin. a dr drift tune should be good tho. or u can buy an already tuned ecu for a lot cheaper,,but i dont trust them too much

your stock ecu shouldnt be run over 12psi..it will go into boost cut mode

Exactly.I found the same thing the other day, just a hose. the oil is fine and the radiator isnt bubbly. Ive located the fault hose after a bit of searching, jus gotta replace it tomorro

have u tried using the search function? i think this topic has been covered a few times. But to answer your question, i probz think ur ecu is hitting R&R. are u running a stock ecu? Turn the boost down to about 10psi and see how it goes, also check your coil packs and spark plugs
