R33 Gtr Brembo Set Up
heslo's + 1 replied to heslo's + 1's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I'll get some up for you tomorrow mate -
I have had this car for about 18 months and have done my best to make it into a well rounded package. Nothing has been overlooked when building it and i have used top quality parts throughout. Unfortunately due to the nature of my work I just dont get to drive it, which is why it's now up for sale. The engine and turbo have done less than 5000 km's since the build and the gearbox has about 1000 km's on it. There's nothing left to do, just jump in and drive away. The perfect track day weapon, drifter, drag racer or street cruiser. The price is negotiable to a small extent, you couldn't buy all the parts alone for the price I'm asking. Located in Adelaide, north eastern suburbs. I can be contacted here, but probably best to call 0431 297 568. Asking price is $17,000 1996 180SX Type X Body: Full factory type X kit including spoiler, rear valance and carbon fibre rear garnish. GTR N1 front bumper vents, Re-sprayed in Subaru metalic silver, genuine electric ganador mirrors, Raybrig multi-reflector headlights, Wheels: Rays Volk TE73 17x9 +22 in bronze Suspension: Tien HR coilovers, GK-Tech front caster rods, tie rod ends, GK-Tech rear traction rods, Cusco camber arms Brakes: S14 5 stud hub conversion, R33 GTR brembo calipers with slotted disks, R33 handbrake set up Engine: ACL bearings, ARP head studs, metal head gasket, Eagle con rods, CP pistons, re-con head, Tomei Poncams, GK-Tech rocker arm stoppers, custom painted rocker cover, Nismo 740cc injectors, Bosch 044 in tank fuel pump, Garret 2871R turbocharger, AM Performance stainless steel exhaust manifold, intercooler pipes, intake pipe, dump pipe and 3" exhaust with dual titanium tips all ceramic coated, large front mount intercooler, Koyo aluminium radiator, GK-Tech clutch fan, GK-Tech radiator air diversion panel, Nisstune engine management, Greddy extended sump, GK-Tech sump guard, freshly rebuilt gearbox, NPC performance clutch, lightened flywheel, Cusco 18 row oil cooler, remote oil filter re-locator, titanium oil catch can Power: 247KW at the wheels on the first tune at 22 psi. Dyno sheets can be prrovided. Re-tuned to run on E85 fuel this package would be capable of 300kw at the wheels. Interior: Full Type X interior, black suede re-t trim roof, window tint, Nismo 330F steering wheel, Works Bell rapfix quick release hub and short boss, Defi BF series guages (boost, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp), Oddesy battery mountred in the boot, Alpine IVE-W350ABT double din head unit, American Audio 1300W 5 channel amplifier, Kicker KS6.2 6" split speakers, Eclipse 10" slimline subwoofer in box

Sau-Sa Track Day #6 - With Passengers!
heslo's + 1 replied to SAU-SA Exec's topic in South Australia
I think the gates usually get opened at 8am, if someone could confirm this for me? -
Don't mess around with sporty street tires. If its a car for the track then get proper semi's. If it still has to do some street duties and you don't want to burn through them, get a second set of wheels to with some cheaper street tires. I've had R888's on my car for about 6 track days now, and they're pretty well rooted, but they're still good for 2.5 to 3 seconds a lap advantage over Potenza RE001 street tires. Best bang for buck upgrade you can do for your car, along with a proper wheel alignment and minimal rear camber (eg. adjustable arms) I have heard that heavier cars chew them out a bit faster though.

here's me pretending to be a drifter and a few nice ones from Mt Alma Mile

one last bash for the mx5. see what good the quads do apart from make nice noises -
rally lights should help
-
well i had an awesome time, managed to absolutely smash the one minute barrier to pieces with a 59.3 on Saturday. Plans for next year are to come back in a car that can pull more than 4000 rpm in third gear, between turn two and the chicane. Josh (jap_star) and andrew from AM performance also had a pretty close fought battle for outright positions by the end of Sunday

sorry to drag up some old posts, but i have a few bits to add. As the owner/driver of "that mx5" let me be the first to agree that yes, it was way to loud. The exhaust on it was put together the night before the event and i hadnt intended it to be quite that loud and it'll be getting changed before the next event. Lets not pretend though that it would've been the only car at the event that would have been sidelined had the noise rule have been properly enforced. Secondly, Nugz; josh tried to give you some constructive advice about driving at trackdays, having also seen the "train" of cars that was behind you at some stages of the day, as well as being behind you myself, im going to agree with josh completely, you seemed to be completely oblivious to anybody behind you which was both rude and dangerous at times. Just something to keep in mind mate. Having said that, i also experienced a bit of trouble with some of the guys driving in the "super fast" group. Being in a car that was dramaticaly slower than those guys, i was constantly watching the mirrors and getting out the way as soon as i saw one come near me. However, for whatever reason, on several occasions some of these guys chose to overtake in dangerouse places and come past so close that our cars were nearly touching mirrors. I realise there's going to be issues when cars that run 1:1* lap times are sharing the track with cars that do 1:3* lap times, but my point is that a little bit of mutual respect and common sense is required from all involved. To add to this, im pretty sure this basic track etiquet (sp?) was covered in the drivers breifing. Now im not nocking your car, its not my taste, but hey thats why its your car and not mine, but to start flaring up at people and giving them a hard time for driving "some bloody toyota" is not on man. If we all drove the same cars, trackdays would be boring. I personaly had some great battles with a black non turbo r34, it was a very close match up. Check the photo galleries from prevcious skynats, there's pleanty of other makes/models other than skylines. Both josh and myself are fully paid up SAU SA members, and have been coming to club events for many years, so to start discriminating against us based on what we drive is both childish and just plain stupid. I had a great day and i think the event went pretty well. I have to say though i was hugely disapointed by a group of individuals who stood behind my car while i was trying to reverse out of where i was parked in the pits, and then preceded to tell me to "leave it at home next time d***head". Pretty much the only sour note for me in an other wise good day at the track. Keep up the good pics guys, see you in october! -
well ill be there for the sprint. might have to do something about my stock exhaust though....
-
Oh well... I'll just have to spank you all at the October track day!!!!
-
is this strictly for skylines only? i saw photos of other cars in ther galleries from previous years. Id love to get out and have a bash on the track again.
