  2. You would cop a defect notice for corroded pipes . . . . ?
  3. Looks like chromed ally, old was the same but chrome has pitted & lifted in places - looks crap
  4. Hey guys, I'm replacing the pipework for the FMIC, because corrosion has ruined the appearance of the old ones where they are exposed through the front bar. Is there any treatment I can apply to the new set to preserve the shiny finish for longer? Thnx
  5. Thanks peeps, I'll check all those points out.
  6. Yep - engine reaches normal operating temp, 25 Km drive to work, still blowing cold.
  7. The A/C will not blow warm, even on the coldest morning, with control set at 31 deg. Please help, winter in Tassie not funny. Tried searching, but not found exactly the answer I'm looking for. I assume faulty sensor?? Help bbbrrrr...
  8. Just a silly question - what does the exhaust warning light on the dash do? (the one that looks like fumes rising from a muffler shape, lights up when you turn the engine over but goes straight out again). Tried a search, not much luck.
  9. Thnx Ben, I'll give 'em a try.
  10. Does anyone know if the Holts kit for painting brake calipers is available in Tassie? (I mean the kit with cleaner and brush-on paint, not aerosol paint) Ta

  12. Wogboy, you passed me on the Bass Hwy heading towards D'port on Sunday ;O)
  13. Can someone pls explain what the blue squares in the members profiles are? (Tried a search, no luck)
  14. I use a funnel or half a plastic drink bottle, couple of O rings round neck and jam it into the neck of radiator, open bleed valve and pour away.
  15. Truly? . . . . cool. (fast reply, btw !)
  16. Hey . . . can anyone tell me wot the double plastic clip under the LHS of the dash in the passenger footwell is? Looks like a holder for something ?
  17. The car has a FMIC, and I gather the wastegate tubing would have previously attached to a nipple on the stock IC pipe - as there is no nipple now, and no sign of any other oulet on the turbo itself, where should the tubing attach? It is currently T'd into the vac signal line to the charcoal cannister - is this OK? Thnx
  18. I fitted a Turbotech MBC the other day, and found that there were marked surges in power as the boost level built up, especially at wider throttle openings. I removed the MBC, but the car still does it - what have I done ? - it was OK before. Help !
  19. Cool Allan! - absolutely awesome advice, THNX
  20. OK - another problem, (same wheel believe it or not) - on trying to remove the wheel one wheelnut just turns and turns, as though the stud has slipped or something - what now?
  21. Cool! Thnx for ur help
  22. Cool . . . . thanx! (I did try a search, but somehow missed this)
  23. I've just discovered one of the studs has broken off the rear RHS wheel hub - didn't notice a wheelnut was missing when I checked the car out ( My question is - does this mean a new hub, or do those studs pass right through? The car is a RSS GTS-T. Thnx for any input
